    Monica is absolutely incredible. She is a gifted, inspired event planner whose warm, confident, energetic, and professional demeanor is exactly what I needed, and what any bride would want in a wedding coordinator. Not only did my husband and I, rightly, trust her implicitly to coordinate a magical experience for ourselves and our guests, we truly enjoyed hanging out with her throughout the process, and feel extremely lucky that she was an integral part of our wedding planning and wedding day. I had planned on hiring Monica for day-of coordination only, but she offered an extremely reasonable price for the full planning and coordination package that I couldn't refuse. From there, Monica took care of absolutely everything. She listened to my very vague ideas about how I wanted the look and feel of the wedding to be. She then came up with solid ideas that reflected her innate ability to understand what I was going for, and improve upon my initial thoughts exponentially. Monica planned and executed my dream wedding flawlessly. She did everything-- she coordinated food and wine tastings, communicated with vendors, negotiated great prices, set up rental set up and breakdown, etc. There were times when I thought, "Shouldn't I be more stressed out, or doing something wedding related right now?" because she was so on top of it all. Our wedding was at my husband's family ranch, which meant there was little precident for how the event should look, run, what rental companies to use, etc. Monica knew exactly who to work with, how the event should be carried out, and how to set up an experience that ran smoothly, looked stunning. She was highly budget conscious and did much of the decor herself. We ended up coming in under budget because of her thriftiness, and expert negotiation skills. I highly recommend Monica and Buonasera Events for any of your event planning and coordination needs. She was an absolute dream to work with, and such a wonderful presence to have around during an incredibly special time.

She always showed up with a smile on her face and a positive attitude (even when I was getting to be bridezilla). She accommodated every request and offered suggestions to make the wedding run as smoothly and beautifully as possible. We had some issues with our venue (that's another story) and weren't able to set everything up the night before the wedding. There was so much left undone, and I had a plan for it all. I gave Michele a super quick run through of about 20 things I needed to be done the day of the wedding. I didn't know how she was going to get it all done or remember it all, but she did. I didn't do a thing the day of the wedding, Michele and her girls took care of it all -- and it looked amazing! She got every detail right, paid attention to every request I gave her. She respected my ideas and my vision and honored that to give me my perfect day. She was kind and professional and truly was happy for both of us on the day of our wedding. You can tell Michele does this because she loves it. She is genuine and generally a lovely person to be around. Honestly, my wedding would not have been what it was without Michele.     From the Bride: When we booked our venue, the event manager advised us that we didn't really need…read moreto hire an outside coordinator; apparently very few couples getting married at the Madonna Inn enlist additional help. Because we live out of the area and wanted to enjoy our wedding day as thoroughly as possible, we decided to go ahead and find some extra help who would make sure everything ran smoothly. I interviewed half a dozen highly-qualified planners/coordinators in the SLO area before finding Planimation Events to help us with month-of and day-of services. My initial impressions of Michele were that she was kind, competent, and well-organized; but it turns out her qualifications don't end there! Before the wedding Michele worked with each of our vendors to make sure everyone was well-coordinated and everything was as we planned it. From making sure flags in the reception room were removed before dinner (long story) to perfectly placing each last bit of decor, Michele and her team knew exactly what it took to make sure everything ran smoothly. On the day of the wedding we didn't see Michele much because she and her assistant were actively running the "show behind the show"; everything ran on time and according to plan - if there were any snafus, we had no idea because Michele took care of it. With Planimation's help we were able to relax (well, as much as one can on their wedding day!) and enjoy all our friends and family knowing that Michele had taken care of everything we threw at her along the way. Now here's the part where I get sappy and maybe even a little teary-eyed. Michele and her team provided exactly what we hired Planimation to do flawlessly; make sure all details were taken care of so we could be as present as possible on our wedding day. But the services Michele provided that weren't written in any contract or advertised on her website lie in the deep care and concern she showed for us (the bride and groom) as nervous humans trying to manage our emotions, our relatives, our wedding party, on the day of the biggest party we'll probably ever throw. She and her assistant kept us calm and laughing throughout the day; and not in a superficial way. I truly believe that Michele cares deeply about the people she works with and for; something rare in an industry dedicated to creating "picture perfect" days. She's funny, straight-forward, kind, organized and creative. Colleen created a custom proposal for us that included both Design and Coordination. Throughout our planning process, she was readily available by email/phone/text. She helped us through all of our questions (there were many!) and was candid in her suggestions. She recommended vendors for us in every category and we couldn't have been happier with the selection! We truly had a rock star team of vendors. On our wedding day, things went off without a hitch. Colleen and her team had everything under control, including all decorations, and my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing! She and her team had a well developed schedule and literally just told us where to go and when. It was SUCH a relief to not have to make ANY decisions on my wedding day. Early on in the process, we visited our venue with her and she helped us select the appropriate areas for each of our events. We explained our vision, and she really made it come to life. There are so many small details that need to be considered for the wedding, and she really thought of everything. She was so organized, professional and patient, and answered what felt like a million questions from us throughout the planning process. She arranged meetings and phone calls with the various vendors to help us make any selections. She kept us on track of every deadline and required payment. Her initial questionnaire, wedding planner tool, logistics plan and detailed itinerary provided us with assurance that every detail was covered. . The weekend of the wedding, she was on top of everything -- always there when we needed her and handling things before we even had to ask. She had such a calm demeanor and continually was checking in during the weekend to ensure we were feeling good and to help ease any stress. Everything flowed smoothly and on time throughout the entire weekend. We received so many compliments on the wedding and rehearsal dinner, and our wedding party and families were so impressed with the organization throughout the weekend. Working with Brooke was nothing short of a dream scenario as a couple but especially one who is busy, not local, and on a budget. I (bride) work as an event planner, so my number one priority was ensuring I didn't feel like I was working for my wedding and truly wanted to be hands off outside of decision making. My experience in events also meant that I had expectations on the service and quality of work our coordinator would be providing. Pair that with a husband who had no understanding of what went into wedding planning but saw $$$ and had expectations to stay on a budget, we had big shoes that this person was to fill. To say Brooke surpassed every expectation we had is an understatement. Brooke started off with us when we had only booked our wedding venue and immediately jumped right in with identifying wedding vision, must haves, and ideas. Quickly, we were given full scale timelines, bride and groom checklists by weeks out, an easy to use management platform, and she had started outreach to vendors for availability based on what we asked for. The relief we felt upon hiring her was immediate and it felt like the weight of this day was lifted. As we got further into planning, she was on top of every aspect of designing, contracting, negotiation, and conversing with vendors. We received consistent email communication, and it seemed as though she was always working because we had responses to anything we sent within the hour no matter the time. My husband originally thought he was going to be able to plan the wedding himself (ha!). Soon into hiring Brooke, his tune changed to recommending to all our friends and family that they invest in a wedding planner when they get married - emphasizing just how much she truly does for us. To top this all off, we found out later SHE was getting married just a month before we were! Despite planning her own wedding and her other clients' (though she only takes so many a year so make sure to get on it!), you wouldn't have ever known she didn't focus just on us. Witnessing her ability to juggle a million things at once, keep things on track, maintain consistent communication, and make sure everyone stays in the loop is watching a masterclass in wedding planning. That feeling of ease and reassurance continued through our wedding weekend. It was almost funny how calm we felt throughout the wedding because of how much trust Brooke had garnered with us. There were no doubts in our minds that every aspect was cared for and that we were going to step into something more beautiful than we knew. The vision we had was executed beyond words and was exactly what we dreamed of. To quote Brooke that weekend - "I don't get worried". And she means it, she handles everything with a comforting sense of confidence, calm and reassurance. I'm so grateful to have had the chance to work with her, her incredible network of vendors, and to have someone who I can refer people to with full knowledge that she'll take care of them like she did us. Thankful doesn't cover it, she is truly the best in the business. We are grateful to know her and to have had her with us to facilitate the best day of our lives. I came to Fete & Quill/Raina somewhat last minute before the wedding, as we decided to have professional calligraphy done for two large chalkboard signs rented from Embellish Vintage Rentals. She was extremely quick in responding to emails, so professional and knowledgable in guiding me through the process of coming with with the exact wording/font/design. She was open to doing a kind of art deco font that she's never done before and then creating cool Southwestern designs - I loved the creativity and willingness to be open to new ideas! And boy did she deliver. These signs looked absolutely stunning. Do yourself a favor and have her do your wedding calligraphy/signage!

Calligraphy was something I almost cut when we were over budget but I'm so happy I didn't because I truly think those special details made everything come together and give it a true romantic and elegant vibe. I also thought everything was very reasonably priced - especially since she was kind enough to also suggest renting a few pieces and doing some partial custom pieces to keep things reasonable.

One giant chunk of wisdom I gleaned from the experience is to seek help early and often and, as much as economizing and cutting out unnecessaries is admirable, especially in these times, stress reduction in planning is critical and, ultimately, priceless. Hiring Danae to be our Day Of Coordinator was definitely one of the better decisions we made for our wedding in San Luis Obispo. From the moment we met her, Danae made us feel confident that she was prepared to bring attention and professionalism to our wedding day. Since we lived out of the area and were planning the wedding remotely, we ended up hiring Danae for additional planning services, where she sourced vendors, rentals, items for our out-of-town bags and plenty of other stuff. She made things so easy for us, from doing our wine and beverage Costco runs to suggesting table setting and linen choices, etc.--all through phone and email! We were a couple with far too many ideas, and Danae had the understanding and tact to let us know when we were right on and when we were simply going overboard! Regardless of how much help and planning is done in advance, it is simply impossible to dress for the wedding, be present with family and guests and also tend to the preparation required for the wedding site. Danae and her assistant picked up boxes of decorations and details from our hotel room the morning of the wedding. When we finally arrived at the site, we were awed and amazed at how perfectly Danae, by herself and by managing the site, floral and cake vendors, had executed the vision we had for the wedding.

She was so organized and on top of everything that I didn't have to worry about a single thing that entire weekend... and trust me, I'm a total control freak so that's easier said than done! Another thing that I really appreciated about Jamie was that even though I only hired her for the day-of, she was totally accessible for the entire year leading up to the event. We're not from the area so we really relied on her for vendor recommendations and such. I would HIGHLY recommend Jamie and her team to anyone!

We hired CJN for the entire planning and up to day-of festivities and they rocked! From helping us pick out and hire several individual vendors, to taking care of our champagne at the reception (storing it, chilling it, and serving it (!)), they never let us stress! Things went so smoothly that I am completely convinced that there is no way we could have done it without them! At the end, we almost felt like we had UNDER-paid them, since they went above and beyond what we had expected. We live in the Bay Area and had our wedding on the Central Coast, so you can imagine the stress we would have had without CJN. EVERY minor detail, from each timeline detail, to the type of food we wanted for our rehearsal dinner, was handled by CJN. They never took over to the point that we didn't have a say, they just made sure that every single thing was handpicked by us, and they ran with it. The rehearsal, the planning, the ceremony, and the reception was so seamless that we were utterly elated at the end. And, this may sound silly, but Jamie was so quick to reply, and so detailed in her questions and tasks, that we will miss not working with her any longer and being in constant contact. Maybe we will have a big anniversary party in a few years, just so we can hire her again!
