It's quite close to Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo and very close to Montana D'Oro State Park, which is right on the ocean. This is an owner run park and there is no space rental. There is a monthly fee. It is a senior only park and residents cannot rent their homes to outside people. There are many amenities to the park, including a library, a private dog park, an RV storage area, which is available for a small rental fee per month, a bocce ball court, an outdoor spa, and an outside private social area. It also includes a clubhouse. The people here are more than friendly and there is a vibrant community and social group who hold many social activities throughout the year to which everyone is welcome. Management is through an outside contracted corporation, but the manager is very friendly and responsive to questions and concerns. There is also an internal governing board made up of the park's residents who work with the manager. It's a great place to live!

If you ordered rice on the side, it would have been just like an entire meal. Tikki Masala Chicken - man, that airline chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy and tender, great flavor, no a single thing wrong with it. The rice and vegetables were fantastic, especially the carrots. I don't know why they seemed extra good, but they were. 2 orders of the Ribeye. Once cooked medium and mine, cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, when mine came out, I immediately could tell that it was nowhere near cooked right. It was actually well done. When the waiter came back, I said "I'm sorry to have to do this..." and before I could finish he said "oh yea, that's definitely not medium rare, let me have the kitchen refire that for you". The Octagon Barn of San Luis Obispo is a historical and cultural structure. Built in 1906, it…read moreserved as a dairy operation until the 1950s. In 1997, the Land Conservatory of San Luis Obispo County began to restore the barn for public use. As of this review, the restoration of the barn is almost complete. The barn (approximately 5000 sq. ft.) is made of redwood timbers and has a new, custom shingled replacement redwood roof. There is a cupola on top reaching over 40 feet above the floor. Cupolas are often used to provide a look out or to admit light and air into a structure. There are two additional buildings on the property. The barn is important for 4 reasons: history & culture, architecture, recreation & education, and in December 2013, the barn was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This iconic landmark on South Higuera is one of only two octagonal barns left in California. The octagon barn will be a community gathering place to promote history, agriculture, recreation, and sustainability. It will host fundraisers, performances, and private events such as weddings.
