I like this Metrolink station in downtown Burbank, it has free parking, it's clean enough, safe…read moreenough, it has vending machine for tickets purchase, it nicely put together. It is also very convenient and I would like to use it more often instead of going to Union Station. Unfortunately, not a lot of trains stop here (not going to all directions), some just one way but not for return which is odd. The one by Burbank airport has more options in terms of trains, but this one is better, bigger and closer to me. I wish they would schedule more trains to stop here in more directions and more folks might use their service.

The layout is beautiful though not as wide in platform size as the South AV or many other Metrolink Stations in Southern California. Plenty of terminals close by if you need to purchase a boarding ticket, you can also purchase online on your phone or through their app or send a digital ticket to your phone. Note: I agree if not a local or frequent train rider you can get turned around as this station is off the beaten path and more North of the local airport. The South location is direct across from the Bob Hope Burbank Airport whereas this spot is a few blocks past it... So it would be a walk, but a short rideshare ride down. I'd imagine a local shuttle or bus might link near this station, but if you have luggage (plural) you might consider an Uber or Lyft.

Metro local lines to the valley, Pasadena, Burbank Airport and Metrolink all stop here. There's also a Santa Clarita express bus stop too. There is a Throne public restroom with running water and is relatively clean. It requires you to scan a QR code to get an access code texted to you. It seems to help the restroom cleaner and safe for customers. You can almost always see security and LAPD walking around the street and turnstile areas. This location requires TAP to enter and exit. Plenty of paid parking. There's also restaurants around if you need.

There is also a large parking lot so you can pay for cheap parking and then ride the metro to your desired destination. They also recently added those gate entrances to tap out to ensure that everyone had paid for the metro and didn't just jump the turnstiles. Overall a good station that I used frequently. Maybe not as frequently as Universal City since I live directly in between the two but a good one nonetheless.

While Jackson did not have availability for the next day, he found a different company to handle our shuttle needs. I was contacted an hour later by the driver to confirm our reservation, and provided a contact number for any customer service needs. The driver arrived 10 minutes early the next day (with free bottled water) and delivered us to LAX promptly. Would highly recommend this company to others and will use in the future.

If you know me, you know I despise driving - it makes me feel so lazy! As a runner it just doesn't ever make sense to drive a car less miles than I can jog but often it's just necessary. Unfortunately there aren't many opportunities for me to ride the metro in LA. I have however started taking it each time I go to theatre. It definitely feels far less utilized and common in LA than it does in other cities (domestic and abroad) but I'm totally satisfied with the quick trips I make around town when I do. I always keep a couple tap cards in my handbags so I'm ready when it's time. It's a bit cringe that I even have to drive my car to the metro stop but it is what it is. They've also been charging for parking for several years now, but you'll quickly learn in LA similar to NY this will still run you far less than valet or parking at certain places. I'd highly encourage choosing the metro over driving or ubering any day in most any city. $1.75 each way and no sitting in nauseating traffic is a win for me. I often ride solo or with a friend no issues either way.
