I manage a 38 unit 1928 bldg. Burbank Carpet has helped renovate most of Apts with carpeting and vinyls to bring it back to life. I have recommended them to fellow bldg Managers and Property Management Love the attention to detail. Thank you Burbank Carpet

My apartment building used Burbank Carpet to redo the floors in our apartment this past July. They ripped out the old carpet from the bedroom and newer pergo wood flooring from the living& dining area and put down Konecto floors throughout those areas. Im not quite sure where the miscommunication happened, between the building managers,& Burbank Carpet. But, I was very explicit in my emails about installation dates,& color. It was a good thing that I had stopped in to meet Fabian. Not only were the dates for installation wrong, but they had ordered the wrong color flooring too! Fabian was really great in fixing both problems. Ordered the correct color,& accommodated the dates that it was supposed to be. When problems arise, it says alot about a company as to how things are handled in order to rectify an issue. The floors turned out pretty. However, the baseboards as nice as they seemed to be, were omitted in one area of the dining room under a built in cabinet, and none of the holes were filled in from the nails. I contacted them about this, asking if they were coming back to finish it,& was told no, that the baseboard product would crumble if it was cut lengthwise to accommodate the fit needed. Im not quite sure if it was laziness, on their part or crappy cheap product being used, for that to be such a problem! I see it as-- get a different height of a baseboard or figure out a way to make it fit so it looks finished! Its common sense!! They offered to leave me a piece of baseboard outside my door, to finish the job myself. When i came home and saw it, I returned it back to the guy working on another place in the building. It was about 6 ft long, white,& scuffed up horribly! What am i supposed to do with that?? So here we sit, with pretty floors, & a shitty unfinished baseboard job. Would I recommend this place?... not sure, but if you do decide to use them, i suggest to go into the store person, have them show you the product,& get everything in writing of what is going to be the overall finished product. If this happened in a home that I owned, rather than renting, I would be so much more annoyed about it.

The house feels brighter, cleaner, and so much more spacious. From start to finish, this company was so easy to work with, efficient, friendly, and professional. Everyone we interacted with was helpful and made the whole process feel much less stressful. Kevin came to my house showed me samples so I was able to see actual colors to match it with my kitchen tiles and feel actual texture. He explained the product details and compared them and he gave me a reasonable price. I did not bother looking and talking to other companies, when the price was within my budget and was told it will be done in 4 days, i was sold. During the installation, they discovered that our previous flooring had actually been installed over the existing tile, which we weren't aware of. They took the time to explain the situation, went over our options, and were completely transparent about what would be involved if we wanted to remove the tile and level the floors. I really appreciated that they didn't pressure us and allowed us to make the decision that was best for our home. The installation team worked efficiently and did a beautiful job. They were friendly, respectful of our home, and clearly took pride in their work. Even though flooring installation can be a stressful process, they made it easy and smooth from beginning to end. And now that everything is finished, I absolutely LOVE our new floors! They are exactly what I was hoping for and have made such a huge difference in our home. Thank you so much to the entire team! We would absolutely recommend you to anyone looking for quality flooring, excellent workmanship, and a company that is genuinely easy and pleasant to work with. Five stars all around!

I never felt pressured to rush my decisions and all the contract/insurance/ license info and pricing was clear and not shady (which is more important to me over a cheap price) Ultimately the team finished my new floors even earlier than expected! I'm super happy with the result and my unit looks much larger, modern, and brighter.

Earlier thebsame dayI'd gone to Ganahl's lumber in Pasadena since it was closer to me. At Ganahl's I was treated with little care by a guy behind a desk who had no trim suggestions except either fiber cement board or redwood. HOWEVER, at Imperial Annie immediately suggested Bodyguard's 5.5" trim made for exterior applications. (I like the Bodyguard trim because it had eased edges that looked more finished than straight lumber edges). Annie explained how the pine product is double primed, etc. She called her supplier right away to see if they d it in stock which they did. She also showed me samples she's ordered for another client so I could see the quality of the product. In other words she took the time to care about what I was looking for. At Ganahl's they really didn't care about what I actually needed. My husband might prefer the redwood option(because it's a more "noble" wood than pine,) but I definitely prefer the great service at Imperial which is where I'd go for any future hardwood and moulding needs.

Robert's team led by Carlos laced the wood back together (they had to take up a larger part of the floor because the boards didn't line up perfectly on either side of the old repair) and were able to reuse many of our existing boards to do it, you can see the new wood over by the wall in the collage. They sanded the floors down and prepared three stain samples (bottom left photo of the collage) based on colors we picked from a fan book they loaned us. The bottom right photo is the finished product and we couldn't be happier with how the floors turned out! They took great care of our home, using plastic to cover the openings to the kitchen and all vents so the dust didn't end up anywhere it shouldn't, and cleaned up the remaining dust when they finished. The stain is Nutmeg from Duraseal on red oak hardwood, with a Satin finish polyurethane sealant.

The bamboo was suffocated and it buckled and got moldy underneath and started to push my LVP floor up. At first sign of trouble I decided to find the highest rated wood floor company in Burbank for help. Robert came and instantly knew what was going on without even demoing the floor. He kindly provided reference material for me to present to my contractor to prove he was at fault. He answered questions here and there while I fought my contractor to take responsibility and fix the issue and after a quick-fix failed, it was a no brainer to me to use Robert and his team to start again and get the job done right. His crew included Jason who worked like a craftsman to surgically remove the two layers of old flooring from around the footprint of my kitchen cabinets and entire ground floor area. The challenge was to retain the clean look of our new kitchen, avoiding trim to hide gaps, even though we were removing almost an inch of flooring and replacing it with 5/8' hardwood. We opted for a moisture barrier, an additional cork layer to try to retain the same height and then a beautiful, rustic looking engineered hardwood floor. I can't tell you how happy I am with the quality of the work. Eduardo expertly cut the flooring and brought up the level of the flooring around the cabinets to exactly the same height. The transition is seamless! If you are weighing up who to use for your flooring, pick these guys, they get the job done right. We are really happy with the appearance of the floor and the final product.

Sequoia priced out reasonably compared to other offers and always were very prompt in answering the phone and returning messages. They told us from the beginning that repairs or stained or damaged areas would be extra and it was likely they would find many places needing repair in an older home like ours. Their repair quotes were reasonable and the guys matched the existing floors perfectly. Communication was great throughout the job and they just called to follow through on a touch-up of a small rough spot in the wood we requested to be fixed up during the final walk-through. The final result looks incredible, they worked fast, were on time, and responsive. What they told us up front held true. Very happy with this work and would definitely recommend to anyone.

I asked for an estimate for engineered wood floor + install and carpet removal and was told $13-17 psf includes material (floor + baseboard), labor, and carpet removal--$3-6 psf if install only. My husband and I eventually went to their showroom and they were nice enough to let us take some Garrison samples home since we were trying to match our existing floor. We scheduled an in-home consult with Eder and he was friendly and punctual. Decided on a material, went overall the necessary info, and they said they would send me an estimate. However, the estimate I received was $17.95 psf NOT including carpet removal, that was another $1k added separately, bringing my total to about $10k for 462sf of usable floor. Also, turned out we only needed baseshoe, not baseboards, which didn't seem to affect the cost at all. I did ask them to provide a price for carpet removal only for a third (very small) room, and that was lumped into the $1k. When I asked them why the price psf is higher than I was originally given and why it no longer includes carpet removal (just for the 2 rooms), they told me they didn't know why I was told it was included, which is a pretty unprofessional reply. You don't know and neither do I? I also don't know if I was actually talking to the owner Sarah (Gabby at the showroom said I probably talked to Sarah when I mentioned Yelp messages) or an intern on the account. They then said they have engineered wood in the $18-22 range too, which for some reason was never mentioned in their original message. Either way, the Garrison maple we picked is a mid-tier engineered wood at best, nothing fancy or luxury, and 3 other companies quoted that same material at $6 psf--Sequioa wanted over $10 psf if their labor estimate is accurate. I was fully prepared to have them do this job at $17 psf but the bait & switch with carpet removal felt dishonest and left a bad taste in my mouth, despite their $500 discount offer afterwards.
