I just walked in off the street and met with Nancy who has to be the the most helpful and nicest person I have ever met in this business. She is very detail oriented and provided a quote in record time. After I gave her a deposit for my carpet and linoleum order she kept me advised on the installation day and time to be sure everything worked for me. The installation crew were terrific and did a great job. To top it all off Raul checked on the job at completion to be sure I was satisfied. A little later I changed my mind on the type of floor base I had installed and Raul saw to it that the base was changed to what I should have ordered almost immediately. Now I call that service. Raul and the installers from Dan D Flooring are top notch professionals that are a dream to work with. Raul is very knowledgeable, empathetic, and truly cares about his clients, not just their projects. He always listens, takes my concerns to heart, answers my numerous questions without a change in demeanor, and provides competitive pricing for materials and labor. He works within the budget and doesn't try to nickel-and-dime you. He will make recommendations and explains the pros/cons and pricing for each. For my first project, I had my heart set on a pretty laminate with a rubber backing attached, making an underlayment unnecessary. He explained that in the event of a water leak, the rubber backing would warp the laminate causing all affected material to be replaced. At his recommendation, I chose a high grade waterproof laminate with a separate underlayment for my entire downstairs, upstairs hallway and bathrooms. Fourteen months later there was a water intrusion on the first floor requiring the entire kitchen and just under half of the dining and living room flooring to be removed. I called Raul to see if the material was still available in my chosen color. He said it was, but that there would be a small color variation due to the age of the existing floor (i.e., sunlight, wear and tear). When I told him that water mitigation would do the demo, he suggested that they uninstall the flooring and that because of the quality of the laminate, much of it could be saved. They were able to salvage and reuse about 95% of the material saving me quite a bit of money. When the flooring was reinstalled, it looked as good as it did the first time. I highly recommend them, and would definitely use them for future projects. read more
