While nothing is blooming right now as it's still February, you can still quietly walk around and take in the seasonal nature. There are plenty of benches spread about so you can sit and take a break if needed. The grounds are very clean and clear of debris. I look forward to going once things bloom and brighten up a bit.

There is also a museum called the Rural Life Museum that also charges a small admission fee. This is a nice small piece of Heaven in the middle of Baton Rouge. Three days later he hadn't sent and estimate and when I called to ask about it, he told me that he just couldn't do the work. So, I called Todd again. He had hired more help and came out to see what needed to be done. He listened to everything that Mom wanted done and started the next week. I've texted him several times with questions or comments and he always replies. A sprinkler head was broken by his crew; but when I alerted him to the problem he was out having it fixed within a day. My 96-year-old mother is very pleased as she loves her yard although she can't work in it any longer.

Just beautiful! We were looking for plants on my front patio, which gets full sun. When we were just walking around, an employee asked if we needed his assistance and he helped us find the perfect plants for my house. Checkout seemed chaotic, but it went pretty fast. The line was backed up into the plant section, and we were worried that it would take years to checkout, but to our surprise, very fast! There are a handful of different trails. It's a beautiful spot to take pictures it's quite stunning . There is a small greenhouse you can tour for free. The reconstruction of the homes that were actually at the those properties were done with care and accuracy. Seeing the plantation area along with the displays on daily life showed some truths and acknowledgement on what life was like for both owners and slaves. I was amazed to see that most of the cabins were multiple generations, sharecroppers and later school houses. This museum has many items that all Louisianan's need to experience and explore. The gardens are well kept and beautiful. We save various birds, bugs and snakes to keep an eye out while exploring. Bug spray, water and sunscreen should all be brought if planning a trip.
