Great little park space and gardens. We stopped by on a sunny day after brunch and enjoyed strolling and (literally) smelling the roses. It's right next to the library and has free parking. We mostly enjoyed the rose garden-gorgeous varieties! Lots of pagodas and pavilions for lounging, reading and photo ops (we saw a couple doing pregnancy photos in the gardens!). We also stumbled across a Bonsai Show by the Louisiana Bonsai Society-so cool! They had Bonsai for sale and have meetings-very cool group with gorgeous trees in miniature. Nice afternoon activity and it's Free!

I absolutely loved going here with my friends to chill and hangout. It was very peaceful there was people but enough space to have privacy, walking through the gardens was beautiful and you can tell they take care of the landscape. There were a bunch of different and well taken care of flowers around. There was also a historical library nearby that was very interesting and educational to walk though.

This is a wonderful place for any event we had my cousins wedding reception there. Everything is beautiful and the walls are painted in neutral colors so everything matches. There are rooms there that the girls used to get dressed in. There is a full kitchen with a refrigerator and everything you need. We catered the entire event so that saved a lot of money. I would highly recommend the Baton Rouge Garden Center for your wedding or wedding reception. It would be fantastic for any event. This building is a nice size

Very beautiful for a nice walk. Saw different flowered and peppers.. it was beautiful. It was short but the essence of it's beauty was very pleasant.

Really beautiful place to just walk around. The Iris Pavilion has the best combination of plant life and seclusion from the main walkway.

I hear people give this place crap, but it's owned and operated by the Baton Rouge Garden Club and a lot of the work is done by volunteers. I personally think it's beautiful and a lovely stroll. It's amazing what they can grow in our humid and unforgiving climate. I'm taking off a star because of the construction and lack of access at this time and will re review it in the future.

I enjoyed how she encouraged individualism and creativity. Each of us started with the same supplies but had varied end products while learning the same sustainable skills of wreath making! Kyla also taught us a tucking method, so that we could repurpose our decorations and the wreath for other seasons! This further added to the value of the workshop. Of course, there we're plant things (watering cans, gloves, seeds, etc.) but there was also home decor items, candles, pillows, swings... I could go on and on! It was actually pretty organized and everything was presented well. When we got outside, to actually shop for what we came for, there were endless amounts of sections and row of flowers. Just beautiful! We were looking for plants on my front patio, which gets full sun. When we were just walking around, an employee asked if we needed his assistance and he helped us find the perfect plants for my house. Checkout seemed chaotic, but it went pretty fast. The line was backed up into the plant section, and we were worried that it would take years to checkout, but to our surprise, very fast! I immediately planted my plants right when I got home, and they look perfect! Such a great plant shop!
