Soooo yes whoever the new manager is got this place together. I went the other day to get breakfast, and the customer service was amazed very polite. I had to ask the lady in the drive-through was she knew because I've been here before and the customer service was horrible and they were rude. she told me they're under new management and everything is being ran different now. The service here is horrible. If you don't mind waiting 20 minutes just for one burger, then go right ahead I stopped in here two weeks ago on a Sunday. Ordered a whopper with cheese with no onions and waited 20 minutes for it maybe more. Then, when I said something to the young man at the counter, he got upset with me. I'm not sure what it is about every single Burger King but this one is not exception to the long waits. This East Chicago location in particular had me waiting the longest I ever have; maybe 40 minutes in the drive thru. I have had to wait 20-30 minutes other times as well even if there are only 1-3 cars. The food is sub par always but still has that BK taste I sometimes crave. They are not very professional or friendly here service wise; it's more of just a transaction with someone who doesn't have good social skills or manners. read more

Worst place EVER!! Ghetto ASL, 20 minute wait to take the order, 45 mins to wait for food after paying, then walk into the place to get my refund, didn't even get acknowledged. Burger King is my favorite fast food restaurant. I love love love their spicy chicken sandwiches, onion rings with zesty sauce & also the strawberry milkshake. Milk shake is always thick & with the whip cream it makes it very creamy. Food is always fresh & they get the order right the first time. read more

There were only 4 cars in front of me & I spent over an hour in line, and another half an hour waiting on my order that was cold & with over half of my items missing. Slow is a understatement, 18 minute wait is not fast food. What a crap hole. Food was ok but not worth it.

First time I went here I walked in and I was like ooookkkkaaayyyyy. This is the only Burger King I've been to that was different from the rest. The space inside was enough breathing room, and it was clean..no stickly tables in sight. I haven't been back since I stopped eating beef (Health reasons). But the kitchen is clean and everything is done in time and you don't wait long for food. read more

Most people that work at fast food places do not take their job seriously and most of the time dont care if they get fired. Unless you plan on moving up and becoming a manager. We were asked to come back in 20 minutes (drive thru) system down it happens thats alright. HOWEVER when you are asked to come back due to system down again and again???? Employee at the window was very very rued. Of course you're going to have a long line thru drive thru!!!! It's the weekend!!!! We get hungry at night!!! Frustrated to say the least. Fast food is supposed to be fast. Bottom line. That doesn't seem to be the case for this Burger King. I went here the other day for a quick, tasty meal, but was greatly disappointed. There was no line when I first walked in so immediately I gave the lady my order. She understood everything I said, but took a while when sorting out my change (clearly a rookie). As I waited for my meal, I realized that I had already drank a full cup of Sprite. At this point I was beginning to become irritated largely because I was on the verge of filling myself up with carbonated beverages rather than the meal they promised to serve me. When my meal finally was ready she asked if I wanted ketchup. I told her yes and was given two scrawny packages of ketchup, enough for about a fry and a half. She might as well have told me that they were out of stock. The next thing I noticed was that my meal was completely wrong. I ordered three BK Stackers, but was instead served 3 regular burgers. The meat on the burgers was so small though I felt as if I was consuming just bread and ketchup. As far as restaurant cleanliness and sanitary goes, this Burger King is very clean and well kept. But because of the awful service, mistaken orders, and terrible food quality, I give this Burger King two stars. I think this Burger King needs a new slogan; "BK, have it our way" read more

This is truly disappointing, I don't like giving a place in my home town a bad review but it has been long overdue. This BK is pitiful! My wife and I drive to the Hammond BK to eat breakfast occasionally, that place is a world apart from the one in E.C. We VERY occasionally go to this one but when we do, the order is incorrect! About 95% of the time and it's been that way for years! We're not talking about a packed place either, I'm talking about two or three diners, including the drive thru. The restaurant was renovated about a year ago, it looks way better than it did before, but the surroundings doesn't make up for the TERRIBLE service. We've never been to a more consistently bad restaurant than this BK. The only reason we go there is because we keep thinking that it will be better the next time and we want to patronize in our own community. In my opinion, for a place to be bad for this long, it's an upper management issue, someone just doesn't care enough to actually go there to make sure the local management is trained properly and the results show in the employees.
