It's National chili dog day and I don't live in the west coast to hit up Weinerschitzel so I grabbed a Chicago Dog from Saul's. For $5, this was a great hotdog! Had all the fixings and it was served hot. The service was cool, it's a walk up spot, not really a spot to eat at super comfortable wise but I just ate my dog outside and enjoyed the sunshine. Best place for a bite to eat in East Chicago. Call ahead for faster service. It's small inside but a lot of great food.

Probably the easiest 5 star I have ever given. Awesome little hole in the wall. On my 2 visits there I noticed all types of people dining in and taking out. Some in suits, some in coveralls, some with grease and dirt all over them, some clean as a whistle. It was just nice to see all walks of life enjoying their dining experience at the same place. On both visits the employee taking my order was super polite. I am a big fan of gyros and this place has a terrific one. The Chicago dog was spot on also. I haven't had them at many places but this one tasted fantastic. I did see a car out front so I think they might have delivery in the area. Another thing I like about this place, in a weird way, is I did not see any restrooms! There could have been one in the back but I did not ask. I thought that was different but definitely sets the place apart. A super cool, little place that's puts out great food at an affordable price. I hope I am able to get back here again. read more

Me and my family eat from there all the time. The food is amazing!!! and anytime they mess up on something they give you what you had asked for and say it's free. There has been times when I didn't have most of the money I owed them and they let it slide. read more

Good, quick food on the fly. I think the owner used to be over at Columbus Drive Gyros. Food is just as good.. maybe a little better and definitely cheaper lol They can get crowded at lunch so call ahead. read more

This spot has the best Chicago styled hot dogs & fries. You can get a hot dog/ w fries for under $3.00 and under 15 minutes. They also have juicy burgers which satisfied me & my greedy baby. Put in a delivery order. I live 3 blocks away and they estimated an hour. The hour came up and no food. I called back and they gave me an additional ten minutes. Another half hour passed and still no food. I called to cancel not even an apology. I will never go here again and will let everyone know. read more

Sauls was good food when they 1st opened, as time goes on now it seems like they are slacking in service, and quality...for example A couple of times i order for drlivery i am sent with no ketchup, salt for my fries, my hot dogs are alway,always very cold and the buns are hard, pizza puffs are always burned, jalepenos poppers are sometimes stuck together and when pulled apart its raw in between, you guys need to fix the quality of your food and take out service or ill be seeing the new gyro place thats about to open...very serious about this review, enough is enough for the money i spend.. read more

I am sooooo disappointed in Saul,s. I have been ordering from there for some time now, the food is tasty and my orders are usually fairly large and always a delivery order. Well, today is the last day I order from there again. I placed a small order, 3 dinners, and the girl called back to confirm my address. Then I get the call back again that they don't deliver past 165th street. Really??!! Since when??!! I have had several orders delivered, and when I pick up my food one of the co-owners always said it's not a problem. Well, guess now it is. That's okay, I can take my bigger orders somewhere else. My son was very disappointed, but he will get over it. I can place these 50 and 60 dollar orders elsewhere. Sorry my order of like around 25-30 was too small for you to deliver. Thanks anyways, other businesses will be happy to take my money. read more
