During the current pandemic calamity, we are patronizing restaurants, (through takeout) we know and trust. However, driving into Johnson City yesterday, I was desperate for a Burger King Impossible burger. They are, generally, so darned good.
Obviously, everything is currently takeout and the place was a little busy at the drive-through. Nontheless we ordered 2 impossible burgers and a large fries. The burgers were quite nice although obviously pre-prepared (they were a little cooler than they should have been). But the fries were bloody awful.
Good fries are a staple of the burger joints and there can be no compromise on quality or else genuinely good reviewers, who detest writing bad reviews, will step up to the line. Here I am! Your fries were cold, greasy, rubbery and, by all usual criteria, were inedible.
Knowing that your customers will be on the highway and unable to easily come back to complain about crappy fare is no excuse to provide sub-par food in the first place.
The burgers would have been brilliant if they had been hotter, but today, you provided fries that should have been in the garbage bin rather than my lap in the front of the truck. read more
