There was long red hair strands in my croissant breakfast sandwich and when I went back 3 mins later after making it to work opening my sandwich couldn't even take a bite, the woman says only problem is my cook is bald and my hair is red. The strands of hair were red but because it was only 2 long strands it was hard to see that it was red but guarantee if it were held under a flashlight it was indeed red hair, wasn't my hair I don't even have long hair & I arrive to work half an hour early everyday I'm the only person. She gave me a different sandwich that wasn't even correct it was missing cheese and the egg was very cold and burnt on one side. This location definitely lost a customer today and because of the way it was so unprofessional I will be letting my friends and family know about this occurrence and for them to also avoid this location. One star feels generous. Vero stars is not a thing so I guess they get one star. Placed a mobile order, went to the drive-through, someone asked me to wait a moment when I got to the speaker and then never returned. I had to call the restaurant multiple times before someone answered the phone, and by that point I had pulled out of the drive-through line and told them I was coming inside except the lobby wasn't open. So I never actually got my food. I'm not sure what they pay people to do here, but it certainly isn't work. read more

i walked up to the register and the lady who took my order was so rude. she didn't ask us if we were ready to order or even a hello. she straight up stared at me until i said something. she has a longgggg low ponytail (which not to mention is such a health code violation make her put it up!) she also didn't ask me if i was eating in and just put my food in a bag! i asked for a frozen coke like 3 times and she gave me a regular cup. but oh was she smiley and laughing with her coworkers! it was also SOO cold in there it was colder in the bathroom than it was outside and it's 30 degrees! read more

Burger King (BK).has always said, "Have it your way." I wish I could say that is true. But I can't. I recently ordered an Impossible Whopper combo, with onion rings and a fruit punch drink. I was soooo disappointed with the food that was delivered to me because it wasn't done my way. The only exception is that they didn't put tomatoes nor pickles on the burger. Great! However, the rest of the order was not to my satisfaction. I do NOT like mustard on ANY hamburger. So, can you guess what I found?? Yup, there was MUSTARD on my Whopper!!! People, let me tell you that I used to work at BK and I know what condiments are included on a whopper and mustard ain't one of 'em. But mayo is. Yet there was none on my sandwich. with no mayo is unacceptable to me. The fruit punch drink tasted watered down. I also tried their chocolate chip cookies, which were lackluster at best. Since this is not the first time I've being disappointed with BK's food, I'm going to take my business elsewhere in the future!, they put mustard on my burger. I do not like mustard on any hamburger. I used to work at BK and I know what condiments are included on a whopper. One such condiment is mayo. Yet there was none on my burger. The onion rings were lukewarm, which matched the burger. For the first time in years, I went back to BK, in order to try out the new impossible Whopper. After doing some research, I came across an article online pertaining to a vegan customer, I found out that the new I.W. was cooked in the same way and place as the regular beef Whoppers. This was very disappointing and not ideal for someone like myself, who was looking to try out the new plant based product. I found a section of the New York Post article, that says and I quote (vegan or vegetarian guests can request their patties be prepared in an oven instead of in the shared broiler.) So I went to BK hoping that they would honor my request, however immediately after walking inside, I witnessed the manager arguing with and talking back to a customer and I thought to myself, this isn't a good start. After said argument the manager headed to the back and a separate employee steped forward to take my order. I made my request and was immediately denied, they then claimed it could only be made in the shared broiler, which is in fact not true. I then showed them the section of the article I had screenshot, which was quoting directly from corporate, the worker then left to go ask the manager and came back to told me, they could not honor my request. Echoing other comments, the service is absolutely horrible here. I'm a big fan or Burger King, but I WON'T be visiting this location again. There was only myself and one other customer in the store and it took several minutes for someone to acknowledge us even though we could see them in plain site, gossiping about how bad another employee was. When Amanda finally came over, she was extremely poor attitude and rude. Both myself and the other customer tried to use BK coupons and she responded with " UGH I don't know how to do that" and would not assist so I gave up on the coupon. I don't know the names of the other employees but the whole team really should be replaced. They continued gossiping and yelling at each other while making the order. Very unprofessional. The service is usually sub par, not terrible but not great. The thing that confuses me is how the shake and ice cream machine I always 'down'. I've heard many times from previous employees of fast food that this is a tactic to turn guests away after the machine is clean. Since this place is close to where I work, I've probably been here 50 times over the past six or seven years. I've never had a problem with the food or the staff here. My concern here is that this is possibly the worst hobo and mental illness flophouse I have ever seen with a fast food restaurant. I worked in inner-city Detroit for many years, so I know my flophouses. At high noon every day, there are usually a few hobos sleeping at tables in the center of the dining area. There are also several people in there talking to themselves non-stop, day after day, month after month, year after year. If you end up sitting next to one for twenty minutes, you'll probably need therapy to make sense of what you just heard. I don't know why the management doesn't throw them out. It makes for a freakish dining experience. If you think I'm exaggerating, stop by around noon Monday-Friday. It's a flophouse masquerading as a Burger King! read more

The cashier spoke up and said that she can't handle listening to both of us at once and to hurry up because they were closing soon. Mind you, it's 11:15 and they close at 12!! I wish I could give this location zero stars!!! On May 14th at around 1:00am, I drove up to the drive-through of Burger King (410 Pearl St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504) to order a coffee before making a two and a half hour drive home to surprise my mother for Mother's Day. The woman running the drive through was very short with her answers and sounded irritated. She told me that they did not have any coffee but that they had iced coffee. I then proceeded to ask her if their iced coffee had any dairy in it. She told me that she didn't know. When working at a restaurant, how do you not know if something has dairy in it? With that, how is it not something you can find out?  I asked if there was someone else I could speak to who may know if the iced coffee has dairy in it. She told me that there wasn't because she was the manager and then she told me to have a nice night (sarcastically of course). I then asked for her name because she was being so rude to me. She proceeded to turn off her headset and the drive-through order screen...she literally turned them off so I could not speak to her or order anything. I pulled forward so that I could talk to her in person and get her name. I ordered 2 for 6 sandwiches and one of them was a spicy chicken sandwich....said sandwich goes into the frier in order to cook....I bit into it and it was literally raw chicken....a 1/2 inch of completely raw chicken. Last time I checked, you can't eat "rare" chicken.....went in a talked to someone (assuming a manager) and she seemed annoyed I brought it back! One of the worst Burger Kings you can go to in GR. The only reason they are making any money is because it's literally one of the only fast food restaurants in downtown GR--and right next to the GVSU downtown campus. They havr recently remodeled (mostly to keep the bums from buying a coffee and sleeping there all day) but don't let the nice interior fool you it's staffed by incompetent employees. You know, the ones that are probably protesting for $15 an hour but don't have any actual skills to offer. I walked in and up to the counter. One girl in her fashionable UGG rip-off boots, yoga pants, and BK headset looked at me and walked to the back--right by another girl with pink hair who also just looked at me and walked to the back ad well. Then she came around to the front on the opposite side in which she left, saw me, and tuned right back around again. The thing is the food is decent. It's BK so it's hit and miss when it comes to their food anyways. Maybe that's part of BK's business plan--make it so unpredictable that it's like an adventure everytime you go in. Avoid this location like the plague, or a Bieber concert. If you decide an adventure is of your choosing I'd suggest the drive-thru. They haven't screwed my order up as many times as the lobby has. read more

Pulled up to the drive through at 6:20 pm and was told they wouldn't be able to take any orders for 15 to 20 min due to a shift change.. What restaurant shuts down to do a shift change? And during dinnertime? I was frustrated, this has happened to me before at another BK location, and I began to let the worker know how I felt. Yes, I used a couple of choice words, not directed at her personally, but at the situation. That lasted about 7 seconds before the BK worker screamed "F@ck your mama!" and everything escalated. By this point I'm very angry too, and I said the same thing back to her, she's losing her mind, screaming all sorts of profanity at me, and I'm yelling back. Then she comes out of the building, completely out of control, threatening to kill me. Two of her co-workers chase her down and try to hold her back. At this point I'm thinking nothing good can happen here. I'm 6'6" and 300+, but I'm not gonna put my hands on a female BK employee. The whole situation was outrageous and over the top. I may have gotten a little salty, but if you can't keep your mouth shut for 10 seconds while a customer gets a complaint off their chest, then clearly you have no business in customer service. The next day I called Burger King corporate and let them know what happened, and their response was extremely tepid and underwhelming. I can live the rest of my life without ever eating another whopper, for sure. read more
