It has been years since I have been to EC and I'm glad I came back! They revamped their menu and brought back a lower price point with some of their OG items and I'm really happy they did. The menu is extensive and filled with delicious, comfort meals... including the TV dinners. I saw this and felt like I had to try it! I just got the chicken fingers version and their fried chicken, mac and cheese were sooo good. I even loved the little veggie mix! But the winner, which got me to even order it, was the little brownie that came along with it. A full meal with dessert for such a small amount of $$. We went here on a suggestion from a friend. The menu names are very colorful. The bathroom was even more colorful (in a quirky cool way). We got the pickle tickle as well as the Southern raw fries (more like deep fried spiral cut potatoes) which were both good. I got the nachos since I tend to get them whenever I go and all were very good. My daughter is vegetarian and they had lots of vegetarian options. Service was good and quick. All 5 stars. They even have their own canned root beer. How cool is that. Unfortunately it was a little too sweet with maple syrup/molasses taste for me (to be fair the waitress forewarned me about the fair. But why not try their signature root beer. I don't regret it one bit). Electric Cheetah is one of those places I used to visit pretty regularly but has kind of fallen off my radar a bit. Nate and I were in the area recently and wanted some dinner and noticed they weren't super busy so we got a table right away. I really like the menu as it's pretty varied, with lots of options for salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese, etc. I also love that they have a pick 2 or 3 combo because I really like options! This time I went with a pick 3 combo because I wanted leftovers for the next day, and Nate ordered the weekly feature sandwich (a spicy chicken sandwich). I got the naan club, a side of mac and cheese, and the Jive salad. Our food didn't take too long to come out and I was very impressed by the portions. My pick 3 was a ton of food for only about $19. The mac and cheese was cheesy and delicious! I really liked the combination of toppings for the salad, but the turkey itself was not the best. It tasted a little off to me. I had the naan club for my lunch the next day and it was okay. I'm glad I got to try these items because I'd never had them before. We really enjoyed our time at Electric Cheetah. We have had this on our list for a bit but we hadn't been able to get here until today. When you walk in, it's small and at first, I didn't think they had alcohol as there is no bar. But they do have a menu of drinks and cocktails. They also make their own root beer! They are known for their mac and cheese but I was intrigued by their "TV Dinner." I chose the adult chicken tenders, which was served on a "prison plate" with mac and cheese, mixed veggies and a delicious brownie. We also got an order of Mac and cheese and added a protein of Chicken. I'll start with mine. My tenders were absolutely amazing! I love fried chicken and this was super yummy. The portion size was huge and I was able to take leftovers back to my hotel. Knowing that I was staying in a hotel, the server made sure I had silverware to take with me so I had a way to eat it. The mac and cheese was really good very creamy and cheesy. There was a generous amount of chicken added to it. The brownie was perfectly baked. We both were able to leave with leftovers and we both left happy and full. The service was spectacular. We will definitely be back! read more

An old favorite revisited with out-of-town family. The food has always been creative and tonight I had their take on a TV Dinner. It was even better than my childhood memories of Salisbury steak, veggies and a chocolate brownie. And elegantly served on a metal plate. My husband and I went here for dinner Sunday night with friends for the first time. As new residents in GR we wanted to try this place as we have heard good things. The interior has an eclectic feel and a chill atmosphere. The decor is interesting and definitely catches your eye! The hostess was friendly and seated us right away. Shortly after our waitress came over and took our drink and food orders. The menu has a variety of options. I got a combo of grilled cheese and tomato soup. My husband got the reuben with fries. Both of us were satisfied with our meal but not overly impressed by any means. We shared an oatmeal chocolate cookie for dessert and that was probably our favorite part. It was delicious! We asked for a sample of the Horsey Aioli before ordering a sandwich - the server brought it out quickly to help with our selections. Somehow it's taken me years to try this place! Came here for lunch on a Saturday just before noon. By 12:30-1pm, the place was getting pretty busy. We sat outside since I had my dog with us. My mom got a "pick 2" combo for $16 - half a grilled cheese sandwich and hand cut fries, which was probably a little overpriced but she liked it. I got the "pick 3" combo for $19 - half a reuben sandwich, the thai town salad, and the garlic cheese curds. I thought it was a good sized portion and very tasty! This time, I got a club tickle sandwich, which came on naan bread with fries. I would never think to put a club on naan, but it definitely worked. The flavorful aioli was a nice touch too. The fries are hand cut and crispy. We added the flight of dipping sauces, which I highly recommend. Service is quick and friendly. The food was OK at best. I loved the French onion soup. It was delicious. The Caesar salad was brown and wilted. They are supposed to be known for their Mac-n-cheese. It was dry and tasteless. Our biggest disappointment was with our server. He was an older gentleman with a shaved head. I don't know his name because my family member got the check. He was rude and dismissive. He simply slammed our plates down in front of us and walked off. I was going to ask for a second glass of wine and he simply snatched up my empty wine glass and walked away from the table. I was so stunned by his rude behavior, I didn't even try to ask him for another glass. We will never return to this restaurant because of the way he made us feel. Been getting takeout from this place for 4 years. They got my order wrong because of a new employee and a new menu. I drove back and was told I had to pay the $5 difference in what they thought I ordered and what I had paid for. It should have been the same price as the first one I paid for in the first place and if I already had to drive back for your mistake I shouldn't have to pay an additional fee. I hope that $5 was worth losing a customer who enjoys your food but won't put up with that business. read more

Revisited the electric cheetah after a couple years and I was very pleased with my dining experience! I came with 2 friends and we chose here because they had some vegetarian options for my friend. I think they had only one server when we first got there but as time went on it looked like one or 2 others showed up. So it was a slow start but our server was seriously so nice. At the end of our meal she offered some shopping recommendations of places around the restaurant. I love their combo options they have. I am always a sucker for a pick your own combo at a restaurant. I didn't love their soup of the day options this time around so I went for the jive turkey salad, reuben, and side of Mac and cheese. Everything was outstanding. The Mac and cheese side was a great portion considering they call it small on the menu. It also tasted great. The reuben was delicious and I loved the salad. This was our first time at Electric Cheetah. It always looked packed in the past, so we would drive by. Today we were hungry at an early hour so we figured we would give it a try. We got there at least 30 minutes before the dinner rush, and there were many open tables. With that being said, you'd think service would be great, but it wasn't. We had to wait several minutes before someone took our drink orders and the waiter was asking for our food order at that moment too. Felt like we were being rushed from the start. After we were served our food, he never came back to offer another drink, but instead came back with the bill as soon as it looked like we finished our dinners. Didn't bother to ask if we were wanting anything else. We just felt like we were being rushed out of there. Like I had mentioned before, we had noticed the place was always packed so we assumed the food was great. The waiter had said that the Mac & cheese dishes were their specialty so that's what we ordered. I must say, we were not impressed. Serving size was very large, but it was mostly pasta and the cheese sauce was very runny. Nothing to write home about. Mine had brussel sprouts in it, which I normally would love. But the brussel sprouts had a very weird off-putting flavor about them. Maybe they cooked them in vinegar or something prior to use. It just ruined them whatever it was.
