Stopped in the this Burger King for the 1st time as I think they were starting to get ready to close. It was after getting out at the Htfd Stage to see a show and wanted something fast. I checked my offers on my cell for BK and got a free Hersey pie w a $3.24 purchase. I ordered w my phone my usual honey mustard chicken wraps to go and they were good to get the deal. As indicated by the other reviews, this place is the pits. Even before the pandemic, this place was in trouble. Rude employees, inhospitable surroundings, order problems, you name it. With the onset of the pandemic things are that much worse. Even with full capacity allowed and no social distancing required parts of the dining room were shut off. On one recent visit, their new, much publicized chicken sandwich was unavailable. On my visit today, the dining room was shut down completely. Neither the state nor the city were requiring this. Easily the worst fast food location from any chain anywhere on the planet. Employees are beyond rude and apathetic. Signs all over the store tell you what they won't do - no sauce, no coupons, no mobile order, no eating in, no restrooms, wrong door...I feel like I'm being scolded just walking in. The people behind the counter are worse than the patrons, which takes a lot of talent. They shouldn't just close this location, they probably should raze the entire block. I used to enjoy going to the downtown Burger King. Now I will no longer spend what little precious money I have there. Management is so busy that ppl buy their cafe at...Sam's, Dunkin Donuts, or the Smoke Shop. This goes for the food they eat there also. But the "Dry Beggers" are the worse problem. These are ppl who play friend so when you go to order food, cafe, etc. They beg you to buy them something because...Oh I have no money because I didn't get paid...Please buy me food because I am hungry....This goes on ALL morning into afternoon. On top of all that? Ppl are using your BK for illegal purposes. Keeping the door open on ANY day is a flagrant health code violation, which I plan to report this morning. Until you "clean house"? This is the dirtiest BK I've ever been to. They always have the "floor is wet" sign up but the floor is never clean. People walk in during rainstorms and snowstorms and cover the floor with water. Frequented by locals and "interesting" people. The employees are nice and always smile at me. I go to this location for only two reasons: it's close to wear I live and I had a coupon book with steep discounts. read more

This is probably one of the worst places in Hartford. The inside is basically a homeless shelter with people sitting around and loitering, harassing people inside for change, doing drugs in the bathroom, just a total disaster. The staff is also clueless and some of them work very slow. They need to seriously clean up what is going on inside as it is very un inviting and scary to go into when you have people constantly harassing you and making a scene. Go on YouTube and check out the fights that break out at this location between the bums. Hopefully Burger King steps up the security. read more

There r a bunch of workers behind the counter but it always seems like nothing is getting done(correctly) n mass confusion has taken over.Either there is at least 50 school kids hanging out n not eating or a bunch of smelly homeless people sipping 1 cup of coffee for 2 hours.Tables r usually dirty.N by no means leave the store without making sure your order is correct because it probably is not..Also do not ask for extra barbecue sauce because the staff may hop over the counter n try to kill u.That is the only time they move fast.The french fries r good when hot. read more

I would love to give this place zero stars. As a former Burger King employee, I was appalled at the service. The cashier was indiscriminately rude. Anytime someone asked for a shake, she just said, "No shake, what else?" With no explanation. I stood in line before ordering for at least 8 minutes. After ordering, I waited just shy of 20 minutes for my food. During this time, I watched one employee sweep the entire restaurant while another took his time stocking cups and sauces. After about 10 minutes another employee appeared and began making sandwiches. She sat mine on the warmer and I watched the guy doing stock - who was also working expo - walk past my sandwich multiple times. Then he looked and me and asked, "Don't you have your food yet?" ABSOLUTELY AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I actually really like BK food so it stinks to have to write this but facts are facts. The BK @ 811 Main St in Hartford is just plain terrible. Every time I visit it, I notice the staff is rude but it is the only one in my area so I didn't have much choice. A few weekends ago, I went there on a Sunday at 5:25 pm. The BK website says this location is open 24 hours as does this website. Two managers and a employee were standing outside the door smoking and when I tried to enter they told me they were closed. I said that the website said it was open 24 hours and was told no, we close at 6 pm, So I checked the time and it was just reaching 5:30. I said that it was not 6 yet and the response I got was for one of the managers to take the hours sign off the door and go inside and lock it! I could not believe it! To be that lazy and rude to do that and on top of it, I called BK customer service and was assured a manger would call me - nobody ever did so I called again and same line of bs so I looked up the corporate office number and called it and reached a operator who said she "didn't know anyones name or extension" to transfer me to because she was just a "switchbox" when I asked if she was indeed at the corporate office she said yes but she didn't know how to transfer me to anyone and she just sat at a "desk with the switchbox" I could not believe it. I called the store and asked for the district manager info and they said they didn't know it and hung up. I filed a complaint with the BBB and that was weeks ago and still zero response so this should let you know how little BK cares about their customers. Because of this experience I will not eat at BK ever again. read more
