If BURGER KING were consistent -- not just this Lake Placid, FL location, but as a matter hole across the country, there would be no McDonald's. When the WHOPPER is made to whatever specifications you happen to like, and made correctly, there is no comparison between a Whopper and a Big Mac. The Whopper is clearly Superior. ** IF ** the Crew makes it right. I've gotten Whoppers and Double Whoppers here in Lake Placid that are either fantastic .... Or un-edible. I've brought them home and discovered nothing but a burger buried in lettuce and mayo and nothing else. I've seen 'em made so poorly that you open the wrapper and it's an utter mess. Six tons of ketchup, no mayo, no tomato, then next time it six tons of tomatos and no nothing else. They're all over the map. You'd get twice the amount of business from me -- I'd never go up the street to Mickey D's again -- if they were great every time. Mistakes happen. Nobody is 100%. But for cryin' out loud you guys .... Look, I got it. I'm worked the make line as a teenager and it's a stressful job. But ya can't just not give a damn at all and throw stuff together. I want a good double whopper with extra tomatos and extra mayo. Not the whole dang bottle's worth of extra mayo, just SOME extra mayo. But I don't wanna throw my money away again on food that's so bad you can't eat it. Get consistent and you'll get my money, and you'll get my Wife's money. read more

Hands down this dump has to be the worst fast food place I have ever been to( except maybe the Lake Placid Wendy's). Unless you go to the drive thru, where they get your order wrong, no one wants to help you. And when someone finally steps up to the register to take your order it seems like it is a complete annoyance to them to have to interact with a guest. And the food, if you want to call it that, is ALWAYS STONE COLD. And is it too much to ask not to put all the pickles in a pile on one side of the burger. Lets talk about the stale buns they use. Disgusting. And what the hell do they do to the burgers before they give them to the guests, sit on them? They are always squished . Don't stop here unless you like rude people, gross, cold food and intestinal problems. read more

It's Burger King. What do you really expect? Brand new. David at the register was friendly. The manager on duty seemed like she wasn't in a good mood. Looked at me crazy when I asked for sriracha sauce mistakenly when I meant zesty sauce. Would have been nice if she had actually offered me sauce upon handing me my tray, but whatever. It's fast food, not fine dining. I've pretty much given up any expectations of friendliness at fast food places. read more

This location customer service is so so so bad !! Always rude when i go through the drive throw! Was waiting for almost 10 minutes after been told to wait for a minute and the served 2 cars on the other lane while i was waiting! The issue is there are no other fast food restaurants in the area i guess thats why they are still in business! read more

Very dirty, trash everywhere, nothing stocked in the drink section, no straws, napkins, etc. Very rude and disrespectful manager, and employers. No customer service at all. Asked for some ketchup and the manager named Janice rudely gave me some slamming it on the counter and told me here, no more ketchup. When they didn't give me any to begin with. This Burger king needs a lot of changes. They should fire everyone and start over. read more

Just dont go. Trust me. Been 3 times in last year. Chicken sandwich burnt in frier twice. Its timed. Not sure how that possible. No salt on fries. Id rather go next door to publix and buy a loaf of bread and 2 chicken tenders. read more

poor drive through customer service tonight. people ordered and employee hung out drive through chatting for at least 10 minutes while the line grew and grew behind us with 1 car in front of us. 15 minutes later we left as did everyone else behind us. I ordered a whopper with Cheese. I was very hungry. I was on the road I took two bites and realized my cheese was not there. I turned around to let the establishment know. I addressed my concern with the front counter and they took my burger in the back where they disassembled it with 5 people standing around the process. It was then brought back to me where the concern was not that I paid for cheese and did not get it but the fact that I took two bites out of my sandwich and was told that the sandwich was half gone. They could plainly see that I did not get my cheese. This was a horrible experience and I would strongly discourage all to stay away from the location!! read more

This Burger King is so horrible it needs to be shut done. No need to be open. Husband was waiting in line for almost 30 minutes while 5 cars was passing on the other line and no one bother to acknowledge the other line. Horrible service and store! read more

If you like to be ignored and then finally end up with cold food then this is the place for you. This place is horribly understaffed and the wait is ridiculous. Have walked out before while waiting to be acknowledged at the front counter after they saw me there. read more

No customer service at all. Ordered a meal with unsweetened tea and was told they weren't making any more today. I told them to never mind the drink and they still wanted to charge full price. Just ordered the sandwich and it wasn't made as requested. This, along with their lack of basic customer service and the wait times, they definitely need new leadership and retraining l. read more

This franchisee is too cheap to fully staff the location. 29 minutes from orering to getting foo in the drive-thru. Noone staffs the pay window, so you sit and wait, burning gas in the Florida sun until someone finally figures out that there are 15 cars lined up trying to pay. The person who shows up at the pay window may or may not know how to operate the register so even when someone finally shows up it's a crapshoot. If they are that cheap on staffing, what are they doing with the food to save pennies. Go 2 minutes down the road to the Mac. You'll save time in the long run. read more
