Burger King hates truckers! I stopped at this location at 8:02 pm on 6/27/21. It was 90°, I was wrapping up my shift of moving 5 tons of weight by hand outdoors in the sweltering heat and humidity. I hadn't eaten anything and was very hungry and exhausted. I parked my truck and got to the door of the dining door but it was locked. Then I noticed and typed sign saying the inside was "temporary closed". I proceeded to call the location to figure out my options and to inquire about the height clearance for their drive thru (I was parked at the opposite end and could see no clear signage). The phone rang for nearly 2 minutes straight with no answer. So, I walk toward the drive up window where there was a car present. When I saw the employee, I shouted from about 15 feet away, "Excuse me, what is your height clearance for the drive thru?" He didn't seem to understand. I pointed toward my truck "I'm in a truck. I want to get some food. What is the clearance? ". He yelled back "That won't fit." and didn't acknowledge me any further. I wasn't apologized to. I wasn't offered an alternative like walking up to the drive thru window after the cars were gone or having them take my order by phone and having them walk it to the door. No effort. No concern. No respect. Their very own website states they are open until 12am on Sundays and makes no mention of the dining room being closed or otherwise unavailable. I was flat out denied service during normal business hours. Also, I might add (although probably TMI) I really had to pee and female truck drivers have a hard enough time finding places to go out on the road as it is. It would have been great to be able to relieve my near bursting bladder on my dinner break. Ultimately, looks like Burger King wants hard working blue collar women to starve and pee their pants. The manager has horrible customer service skills. I wanted to cancel my order and he said he couldn't guess he doesn't know how to use the computer I need to go to train an Indian get fired. The food is cold, and the guy with the gray beard that they had in the back repairing the food was mean to other employee they just have bad attitudes. This was just baaad. The employee at the drive through was horribly rude. The food was somehow cold, I literally don't even understand how that is possible. It was just bad. Legit, stay away from this location. read more

I'm not a particular fan of Burger King. I find it overpriced, and everything on the menu gives me indigestion. When I was younger it was my preference among the big three national chains, but either something changed within me, or something changed with them. I'm inclined to think it's a little bit of both. This particular Burger King is horrible. It is almost as though the food were being prepared with the specific intention of making is as unpalatable and visually unappealing as possible. They use stale rolls, particularly if you debase yourself enough to order something off the value menu; I believe they reserve some for precisely this purpose. They shortchange you on ingredients in such ways as by putting one half strip of bacon on their BK Double Stacker. When you remove your sandwich from the bag, it will appear to have been sat upon by a very fat man. The woman who manages the place during the day is in serious need of a personality transplant, and I know this because I have dealt with her in the past when my orders have been variously wrong, short, or just plain inedible. If she is in a mood, she will argue with you that she personally put the missing "x" in your bag, implying that you are trying to steal from her, and that no perceived shortcoming could have originated with one of the motley assemblage of future prison alumni manning the back line. There is no reason why, in this country, anyone should ever be so afflicted by hunger as to have to eat at this Burger King. And even if there were, it would be preferable to die of starvation. read more

Interesting reading the reviews of BAD SERVICE at the Lakewood Burger King. I just experienced the worst and most humiliating experience there tonight. I was refused service because I said that the customer service was slow tonight. I also let out a slight sigh when the manager at the speaker of the drive through said I will be with you in a few minutes. She was only taking two drive thru customers at a time. She asked me is that a problem that you have by waiting a little longer? I replied that the inside counter was slow so I decided to go thru the drive thru. She then said you know what sir, I am not going to serve you have a good night. WOW!! How humiliating. Do people really think that there will be no consequences for their actions and how they speak to customers? I went back into the store and asked for the store number which she and the rest of the crew refused to give me. She convinced everyone inside that I put my face up into her employees REALLY? I was at the stupid speaker in the drive thru and never made any contact with anyone until I went back into the store. So yeah I am the one with a serious attitude!! She then told me to leave her store and get off the property. I was furious and humiliated and everyone in the store watched this. I told her I will be contacting corporate and will be writing a complaint on her and her employees for the worst service I have ever had anywhere. She knew she f_____ up with her mouth at the drive thru speaker and thought she could cover it up with false accusations that I got up into her employees faces. Hay lady if you are so smart did you think about the fact that I never made contact with you prior because there is the stupid speaker that you talk to. Get ready the big one is about to hit. I WILL PURSUE a complaint with corporate and YOU will face the consequences of your bad management and behavior. I own a business and never speak to any of my customers like this. I get 30 minutes for a lunch break and I spent 26 of them in this burger kings drive thru lane waiting... They did nothing to compensate me and didn't even acknowledge the fact they were providing the slowest "fast-food" service I've ever seen. Just plain awful. read more

I've been to this BK a few times since my EMT job is close to this location. I've never had a problem here until recently when I walked in for my order. A Hispanic lady had made a mistake in her order and some morbidly obese sloppy dressed lady who apparently was the manager with ugly hot mess oily looking hair came woddling out from the back and was completely rude and absolutely nasty to this lady. Then when she gave me my food she shoved my "frozen" Hershey pie in with the hot food and when I asked her if she could please put the cold stuff separate from the hot food she rolled her eyes and gave me a different bag for the pie and no fork. So I asked for a fork and she rolled her eyes again. I was gonna ask for some sauce for my onion rings but I thought "nevermind this lady obviously hates her job and hates dealing with customers" ..I dunno why they have someone like this even a manager!? Me and my husband were on our way home from Sandy Hook, we were there for my photography. After smelling all the grilled foods at the shore, we decided to stop at a BK, never been to this one. Upon pulling up, I saw the big writing on the roof NOW HIRING, which I always love seeing -- I am a job spotter for indeed dot com (I get a few cents for hiring signs that I submit). Anyway, as soon as we got in, I looked for the now hiring sign. It's not on the door like how most business place them it's placed at an awkward place where I couldn't really take a pic by myself, I'm too short so my hubby took it for me and jokingly said to the girl at the register - you want your picture taken too. My hubby just added - she gets 10 cents for taking pictures of hiring signs. No smile from her, just a weirded out look, I walked outside to take a picture of the storefront. I did complete my submission. I came back inside my hubby asked me if I wanted cheese. I said yes, I did not hear the rest of the exchange -- but no smiles from the Manager who was taking care of him. My husband does not have a good hearing, manager said something but hubby did not hear, he asked "what's that?", she answered "I said blah blah". So I came closer to my husband and asked "did she just say " I SAid" to you"? We were just looking at each other and he said maybe she had a bad day. We were waiting for our order, she said "do you need anything else?" He said "no just waiting for my order", she said, (rudely, her face was not nice at all) "you need to move up, other people are in line behind you" -- ONE MAN who was still looking up at the menu. Again we looked at each other in disbelief. How rude can you be? What happened to customer service? She's the manager mind you. We sat down and ate, I had my dslr with me, but never used it because I have taken enough burger photos. A family came in, my husband gives out little tracts to kids anywhere we go. It was a hispanic family, so he got up and handed spanish tracts to them and said "very important, please read" (in Spanish) they took them and said thank you. The manager (who was apparently just watching us) came out so quickly and said solicitation was not allowed, my husband said we don't see it written here, but she said it's at the door. Apparently it's there in really small letters we didn't see it. You can't talk to people about God there, she said. He back to our table and took his phone out and was still looking at the home screen and she said that taking photos was not allowed. (She probably was thinking my husband will take a pic of her and put her on social media, which my husband does not have). My husband just got irritated and confronted her if she had a problem because she had been rude ever since we placed our order. She said her name is Santana (again my husband didn't hear her name correctly, she had to repeat it about 3 times while making faces) and that she's the manager and sees nothing wrong with the way she treated us. It really makes me wonder how she became a manager. To be so rude like that. It's one thing to be disrespected by a regular employee, but for a manager to be rude like that. Does BK check their stores? Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend this store at all, if you like photos of your food or if you like pleasant staff. I don't know how this place could get an average of 3 stars if the manager acts the way she does. Sorry it's long. No photos because still photos is prohibited here. read more
