Close to the movie theater so great if you want to catch a movie. Service was about average. It's a FIVE!!! Like all the time it's gonna be a FIVE! You can't beat a good meaty burger and this place has it. Then you can get every topping imaginable thrown in for free. The fries are crunchy, pillowy soft in the middle - YES! I'm writing this wanting Five Guys NOW!!! Okay so there is a bit of a wait at times and it's clean up after yourself and some people are slobs and have no respect for others and leave their crap behind - don't be that person! Delicious!!! I am not a big meat eater, I rarely actually eat meat at all. However, when I am in the mood for a hamburger, it's definitely Five Guys. This place has the best cheese burgers hands down I've ever had. Their French Fries are delicious. My son loves this place. When I let him pick where we go out to eat it's always here. The staff all works together and are extremely friendly. Everything is made to order, but it's never a long wait. But while you do wait there are large bags of peanuts for you to help yourself to. They have the new machines which gives you tons of drink options. I had have nothing but good experiences here and I really enjoy this location. read more

I was here last night around 6:30 pm. The staff was tremendous. The sever Joe took my order and was very kind. The two grill boys were a little slow and not just in the food game. Jack made my milkshake and made it extra special . Joe was the best staff member I have seen at this location, it's safe to say the others didn't go far in the education system, hence why they took so long for everything else. BUT Joe, wow what an employee. The burger I also ordered was handmade by him and was extra meaty juicy and delicious. I would definitely go again and see Joe. read more

I will confess that 5 Guys was my go to place for a burger in the past. However, the last few times I was unimpressed. I decided to try it one more time. Again, I was not impressed. There were a few people inside, the store was clean, and there were 4 people behind the counter. My order was taken, and they did not get the order right. Ketchup, Lettuce, grilled onions and pickles on one, ketchup, lettuce and raw onion on the other. They missed the pickles on one, and forgot the lettuce on the other. The fries shrank. Twice we have ordered online and both times when I told them I'm here to pick up my food, they tell me it's not ready and I wait an additional 10 minutes. They need a better system. Outstanding! I haven't had five guys in years and it was outstanding! I love the vibe in the restaurant. The red checkers and the newspaper's on the walls really sets a mood. Now you would never think that at a burger joint, the restaurant would be giving you free peanuts as a little snack before your food. It's such a unique and great way to prepare for your delicious meal. And the peanuts are fresh out of a giant bag, which means you crack them open and eat them. A little hard to break off, but worth it. I'm not a big peanut guy, but these peanuts were to die for. They were salted to perfection! After that little snack, the main event was calling my name. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and BBQ sauce. This burger was so juicy and delicious! The burger was even falling apart a little to how mouthwatering it was. Perfectly cooked, the bacon added a nice crunch, tomatoes were juicy, and the BBQ sauce was sweet. As for the lettuce, one leaf is all you need and five guys satisfied me with that! The bun was awesome. It held the double patties and cheese together and was toasted. A great bun makes a great burger! My only downsides however were that it lacked A LOT of BBQ sauce and grilled onions. I could care less honestly about the grilled onions, but the BBQ sauce kind of let me down. I only got it on the first few bites. But overall, the burger was incredible and filling! Their french fires are the best fast food french fries I've ever had. So salty, crispy, and amazing! The best part is I ordered a regular and there was a huge pile at the bottom of the bag that made me even happier! Now after this meal, I had to try a milkshake...and it hit the spot! The Oreo creme milkshake was thick, creamy, and wonderful! It was a perfect balance between Oreo and vanilla and they used so much whipped cream on top. It was splendid! Burger patty's are small for the price but good. The burgers are cooked done so if you are a med rare person you will not see any pink, but be assured the burgers are not dry. The Fresh cut fries are a treat. The burger add on's such as mushrooms, sauces are free. If you are hungry I suggest you get the big burger (double patty). It might seem strange that I am giving a "fast food" restaurant 5 stars, but in its particular category, it's about as close to perfect as it gets. Still, for what it is, it is the best. Decor: Not a whole lot to say. A bunch of tables and chairs in a semi-cafeteria style seating. There is also "bar" seating with stools by the exit glass wall. Service: Friendly. Helpful. Generally positive attitude. About as good as you can expect for this sort of establishment. Food: Your options are limited. You can get burgers or hot dogs and fries. I've never seen anyone go for the hot dogs, so it's basically a one pattie or two pattie burger with a huge selection of possible toppings (from cheese and bacon to jalapeño and mushrooms). And all the toppings are free, except for the cheese and bacon. Fries are normal or cajun-style. And everything is huge here! Still, what they lack in variety, they make up in quality--their burgers are some of the best burgers I've ever had. Even better than more expensive "sit down" restaurants like TGI Friday's. Certainly the best in the fast-food category (admittedly, I haven't tried In-And-Out Burger yet). Big, juicy, flavorful, they hit the spot! The fries are also pretty good, especially the cajun-style which has a hint of spice to it. Sodas are the standard fountain fare (self-serve refills), but they offer an endless supply of complimentary peanuts to snack on while you wait for your food. It's burger heaven! read more

A wonderful little fast-food chain with some really great burgers! My husband and I had stopped in at this particular location for a meetup group we are participants in. My first impression was that for a Wednesday night, it seemed very busy. The place was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly taking our order. Make sure you realize that if you are only wanting ONE burger on your bun, to ask for a small, because otherwise you get a ton of meat! I do love that I can customize my meal here, and just simply kill a burger craving in no time. Five Guy's burgers are like eating a steak that has been conveniently chopped up for me and smothered in all kinds of goodness. Add to that a week's worth of greasy fries and I am a happy man. Now they also make hand made milk shakes which is just like having ice cream!!! If you have read any of my reviews, than you will know I love steak and ice cream, so for me this is a win win situation. I have to admit the only reason I've been to this Five Guys is because of a monthly geocaching event. That said, they do a good job with the hamburger, especially when I get it with everything, plus jalapenos, peppers, onions, and hot sauce for the extra kick! Of course, the endless peanuts are a plus too. You can never go wrong with Five Guys. Huge portions for both the burger patty and fries. I usually just order the Little Bacon Burger which is about the size of a normal McDonald's burger. Also, an order of fries can be good for 2-3 people already. And of course, the free peanuts are always a nice appetizer while waiting. read more

Giving 5 stars for the friendly and professional staff in Toms River location and the $4 milkshake. The flavors are great and you can add as many different flavors as you want in each shake. Chocolate/coffee is my favorite and my husband loves the peanut butter shake.The size of the shake is decent; it will definitely fill you up so don't have it too close to meal time. The French fries, hot dogs and burgers are nothing special and are EXTREMELY overpriced! Minus 2 stars. I would only recommend you go there for dessert. We went to 5 Guys today for lunch, my wife and myself. We have been long time customers here. When we walked in, we were greeted very well( just checking to see if there was indoor dining). I looked at the menu, and couldn't believe my eyes. Everything was just about double.all of a sudden a bacon cheeseburger was now $9.85...everything else seemed to double as well.
