Instead we waited another hour and a half with no pop ins by the waitress before I finally flagged down someone to inquire where in the world our food was. We decided we would just leave out of frustration when she came out all frantic with our food. It wasn't even that good and our waitress literally never checked in even after all that. After returning home this is the only bad meal / food experience we had while in England. I paid close to $70 pounds to be incredibly disappointed. I deserve a refund and an apology.

They offer both takeaway and restaurant facilities, though I'd imagine due to its location, most customers sit in. The décor/floor plan doesn't seem to have really changed in years, but its normally clean and tidy enough and there's plenty of space to sit and have your meal. The last time we went in, was before going to see a film at the nearby cinema and the restaurant was empty other than another couple. We came armed with a printed voucher, entitling us to a decent sized percentage off our meal. I'm not sure if this effected the level of service we were to be given or if this has gone downhill of late, but we found ourselves waiting a long time for the opportunity to order more drinks rather than being offered. In the past the staff have always been really attentive, so this was a bit of a surprise.

Similar process, look at the menu, saunter up to the register, place your order, get your drinks, and saunter back to your table... without spilling your drinks. I ordered the Avocado and Bacon Burger and a side of chips. It didn't take too long before I received my order. The food looked good... the burger was ok. It was messy, but with none of the satisfaction that a good messy burger brings. The avocado looked a bit old, some dark brown bits that were not hidden by all of the mashing and tasted a bit old too. The bacon was more fatty bits than meaty bits and when you bite into a burger, it comes straight out of the bun, pulling the mashed avocado and other toppings out onto the plate and you are left with the entire piece of bacon dangling out of your mouth. The chips were a bit on the soggy side. It isn't the worst meal I have ever had, but it didn't quite hit the spot, just refueled me to go do more shopping.

Staff are always enthusiastic and friendly the food is great but be warned portions are very big!!! They do some great cocktails too. Childrens meals are good too - My older daughter who is very fussy loved the chicken pieces and our younger daughter who we'd gotten the jumbo hotdog for didn't know where to start as they really weren't kidding when they said jumbo hotdog!! It must have been a foot long. They do goodie bags for younger visitors too which includes a colouring in book and some colouring in sticks (3 pencils, 3 crayons), a sticker book and a helium filled baloon to put the stickers on. Sometimes they also offer a deck of cards to entertain slightly older kids. Soft drinks with your meals are bottomless, so you pay one price and can top up as often as you want to. highly recommended.
