She took our order with care, including documenting and filling my wife's order while taking care to meet her food allergy needs. My wife is gluten intolerant, so she couldn't have the bun. Her roast beef wasn't just slopped into a container. It was set on a garnishment of kale and packaged neatly. The lobby was clean as it could be. The sauce bar was appropriately stocked, clean and in functioning order. The beverage bar was in the same clean functioning condition. The floor in the lobby was clean, and while we were there, Cortney spot checked the floor with a hand sweeper. She also emptied all the trash cans. Her diligence upon our entry was evident, and I struck up a conversation with her. She is a manager, and her passion for her store and her customers was clearly reflected in our dining experience. The dining room has large windows. A setting sun was shining through the windows and even they were clean and clear. Bathrooms were clean. Parking is plenty and access is easy. There was nothing about this dining experience that was negative. Clearly, this manager and her crew have a heart for customer service. They should be commended for a job well done.

I stopped in memorial day weekend, on Saturday night at 11:00 P.M., to get myself a Goldrush Chicken Sandwich and some pickles after a long night of driving on the turnpike. I went to the register and no one was there. I waited for a few minutes and noticed that the lady who was supposed to be working the register was over at a booth eating and reading a book. I was fine with this, but it took a while for her to notice me. I placed my order for the Goldrush sandwich and also asked for a small plastic cup for my condiments. She gave me my food, took my money and immediately went back to her meal and book. I moved to the condiments station and opened up the foil on my sandwich in order to garnish it with lettuce, pickles, onion and mayo. I opened the sandwich up (touching the buns and meat) and realized that I had been given a burger by mistake. I let the lady know that I had been given the wrong item and she started blaming the kitchen and went back and yelled at the cook. After a few minutes, she returned with a chicken sandwich. She approached me, put the chicken sandwich behind her back and said I need to take the burger from you first. Surprised I responded: "If it's just the same to you, and I'm assuming that your just going to throw the burger away, could I have them both." She started flipping out accusing me of trying to get away with something....implying that I somehow had something to do with being given the wrong item in the first place. She implied that I had somehow screwed up my order on purpose so that I could get free food. I'm not the one who screwed up. I ordered chicken (my receipt says chicken)....you screwed up! I absolutely hate waste. I hate it when people waste food. I gave her the burger and she gave me the chicken sandwich. The reason I'm giving this establishment a bad review isn't because they are over priced or have bad customer service. It's because after I took that burger apart with my bare hands...she wrapped it back up and threw it back under the heat lab for the next customer. Gross....at least she didn't waste it.
