This Burger King on Main Street in Oshkosh continues to live up to its bad reputation. I went through the drive-through to grab a quick lunch on my way to pick up my daughter from school. Part of my order needed to be made fresh, so I was asked to pull around front and wait for someone to bring it out. I waited 20 minutes with no update and no food. Because I was on a strict time limit, I finally had to go inside to ask what was going on. Instead of help, I was immediately met with attitude from who I assume was the manager. That's when I was told my food had been given to the wrong car. Rather than apologizing and remaking the order, she became defensive about my tone and simply refunded my money. At that point, I was completely out of time and couldn't go anywhere else. I missed my opportunity to eat lunch entirely due to this restaurant's negligence. The manager tried to blame it on "training," but this isn't a one-off issue, this location is consistently disorganized, and this wasn't my first bad experience here. At some point, it stops being a training problem and becomes a management problem. Poor communication, poor accountability, and even worse customer service. I won't be back. read more

Absolutely horrible service. I stood at the counter for 5 mins with workers all around not 1 person asked me to hold on/be right with you/sorry we are super busy.. Literally ignored. Then I decided to ask if it would be easier i go through drive-thru? The lady told me "no I have a line" she took 3 ordered while I was standing there. Very disappointed. This place is pathetic. They can't even hire enough people to keep the dining room open. 1st order, stood at the drive-thru window for like five minutes, nobody comes to the window and can't get in the door so had to call them on the phone to come to the window. 2nd order, same thing except they wouldn't even answer the phone, then came to the window and were rude telling me they were closed despite my order being placed and PAID for while they still had 15 minutes. Leaving bad reviews here on Yelp, Google reviews, and the pissed consumer website. Now have nothing to eat tonight. Thier service sucks. read more

Ordered my food through their BK app at 6:37 pm. Sent the husband to go get the food through drive through about 10 minutes later. Husband was told they didn't receive our order on time so they closed already. They sent my husband to a different BK on the other side of town. He got there and was told the same shit. BK worker told him to just tell our credit card company to refund us. Yeah ok because its that simple. You're telling me it takes more than 20 minutes to cook a burger? So if a customer pulled up at 6:50pm, you would tell the customer, "Sorry, we're closed?" when your store states closing time as 7:00 pm not 6:50 pm? Never ordering from BK again. Terrible service. People waiting in the drive thru for over ten minutes to have their orders taken and the place is not even busy.

The first thing you'll notice is that the door handles are shaped like spatulas. Whether this is a good, bad, or neutral thing is really a matter of preference. For me, it's not great. That said, this is a perfectly adequate Burger King restaurant. Once in a while you'll end up with less-than-fresh fries (also applies to chicken fries) but that's just the short end of the fast food stick, I think. I don't eat in here much, but it always seems pretty clean and well-maintained inside. They've got one of those nice touchscreen soda machines so you can do horrible things like orange raspberry Coca-Cola if you hate yourself. Me, I like Sprite. Plain Sprite. The people who work at this Burger King are always nice. Sometimes they seem a little stressed out, probably because they are. That's okay sometimes. I still think they mean it when they tell me to have a nice day. If you are in downtown Oshkosh and would like a Whopper or long chicken sandwich, this is the place. And it's not bad. read more

I stopped by this location on occasion for coffee on my way to the store. That is a habit I am taking out of my schedule. I don't know who is teaching people how oil works here, but they are severely mistaken in their technique. Severely. Like something out of a cartoon, my first bite into a chicken sandwich squirted a pure stream of oil onto the table. I had to drop the food from my mouth before I chewed a second time, as the first coated my mouth in oil. I squeezed my sandwich and oil came gushing out. The patty was so hilariously oil-logged that putting pressure on it made it shoot oil in every direction. How they've managed to sponge up that much in a single patty is just... Beyond me. I assume that the fryers are not just set too low, but are cool enough to stick your hands into. There is no way they could be this wet and be at the proper frying temp. This isn't just the chicken sandwich; If it touches oil in that location, you can bet that the grease factor will be jaw-dropping, rendering your food inedible. I'm usually up for working things out in the store by explaining what exactly is wrong with food and how they can remedy it. I have not approached the counter on this issue the three times it came up with three different foods. I would be unsure of how to converse on the issue-- Problems this shockingly, fundamentally wrong only lead to discussions that get into abstract ideas of what "food" is, and I just can't do that at a Burger King counter with someone who does not care THIS much. I had such a wonderful time some weeks ago on a Sunday night... I left a bar on Main St, and just needed to eat something before a not too long, but not insignificant drive back to my apartment. So I went into its drive thru, and, even though the restaurant was shutting down, the gentleman was so kind in offering food that was available, and even gave me a discount because probably the food was going to be thrown away. I thanked him and he was very polite in return. It helped make that night very memorable than most ... and the double burger was great too!! read more

Chicken nuggets and double quarter pounder weren't what I thought they were going to be

It is, what it is...fast food hopefully done right. I work in the downtown area and have frequented this location hundreds of times in the past twenty some years. It's gone from a cheezy 70's and 80's carbon copy fast food joint to a fairly attractive coffee house looking place. Manager has been in this location for over 20 years and seems to attract an eclectic and interesting crew. One lady in particular has been there practically since day one can run the drive thru to perfection with speed and total accuracy. Burger King in general has a bigger better product than most "fast food" places therefore is a bit more pricey, but like they say, you get what you pay for. In my opinion the chocolate shakes are among the best of the quick service chains. So if you want to have it your way, stop down, maybe pick up a crown, a Whopper and a Coke or any one of the hundreds of flavors available through the Coca Cola Freestyle machine, you'll be, there is a taste for everyone. read more

There is an employee named Jimmy that deserves a raise or at the vary least needs to be recognized for his wonderful personality. Every time we are there he is so pleasant. He puts a smile on our face every time. This is very rare in the fast food industry. They are either busy fooling around with each other or seem like they hate their job. Now that I think about it, I don't think I ever met one that actually is as pleasant as this kid. So please acknowledge him in one way or another. read more
