I just finished my meal and had to share how incredible this spot is. I'm only here for a day, but when Burger Naan popped up, i fawned over the menu. I got here at 2, so the tranquil music immediately put me in a sweet place. The staff is so dang friendly and make you feel special. I got the butter chicken sando and poutine. Both truly hit the spot. I even got an extra side of sauce for both, which took the meal over the top. I wish I could stay in town longer simply to try more of the fun menu. read more

Best food in our area hands down. My husband and I have been there twice and their service is excellent, and the Ambulance is also really nice. The food is so full of flavour and you can tell that they make every dish with love. My tandoori chicken fried rice was just amazingly seasoned and it tastes right out of this world. The TCB sandwich is all my husband will get because he is so in love with it. Overall, I recommend this place to everybody, try it at least once, you won't be disappointed! read more

wow people in dekalb are truly strange.. this place has almost a 5 star rating i was super excited to try this i got the bison burger.. A 14.00 dry regular burger nothing special about it ...the toppings were nice but the burger for 14.00 was way overpriced, the onion ring ..ok no breading and greasy, and the veggie mosa ...holy cow super super hot.. and you only get one imagine an egg roll for 2.50 again over priced 25.00 for 1 person this reminded me of 5 guys but they in my opinion have a better taste..on the positive note love the indian culture and the people super kind. read more

This place is amazing! The food was very good, hot and fresh. I had the Chicken Biryani and the Garlic Naan. One of the best I've had. Service was quick, the cashier was very helpful and friendly, I believe he was the owner. My daughter had the Paneer Masala, it was very good as well. I really enjoyed my meal at Burger Naan after moving my daughter in at NIU. The manager (owner?) was so hospitable, he really wanted to make sure everything was right. We ordered a couple entrees (chicken masala and butter chicken quesadilla) and a side dish, which turned out to be about 5 meals with the leftovers, the portions were very generous. He even went around and gave everyone in the restaurant a sample of their mango lassi, which was delicious! I would definitely go again. read more

Burger Naan recently opened, my first time there today with friends who raved about it from previously being there. The food is fantastic and inexpensive. Order at the counter, and they bring it to your table. The ambience is pleasant and conversation friendly. Nicely re-modeled (location it's where the former Hillside restaurant was). My tandoori chicken burger was filling, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. As was the naan (they brought over extra at no charge)! A nice variety of options for lunch (they open at 1 pm) or dinner. The staff was friendly, and the chef (yes, an actual chef) was fun to talk to. It's a great addition to DeKalb's choice of restaurants and above those compared to similar Chicago restaurants. I'd had Indian food in a few other places over the years. I am exploring different cultural foods near university campuses in my area. This fusion restaurant seemed a good place to start my quest. The restaurant is nestled in the downtown area, in an opposite direction from the string of national fast food chain restaurants on Lincoln Highway. I tried out a special today: chicken curry with naan and rice. The flavors were rich and warming, though oil globules were easy to see throughout the sauce. Garlic naan? Delicious. The rice likewise was a tasty accent to the curry. Thanks to the helpful and efficient staff for getting my order out quickly, while orienting me to the varied menu. The restaurant's decor and vibe resonate well with how you feel with a good meal. I hope NIU students are finding this place, especially the CSD students. Good job, Burger Naan. read more

A million times yes. Their butter chicken mac and cheese is a new comfort food along with their poutine. The beef shish kebabs are the right amount of spice with a bed of rice that's sweet and almost has a floral taste. Everyone there was super sweet and even offered a dessert on the house. Nassir, the owner and chef treats everyone like family, explaining the flavors of his Indian dishes to those who are unfamiliar with the cuisine. We tried a number of dishes. All were well received, but the butter chicken Mac and cheese was a standout--full of flavor with the creaminess of Mac and cheese. We tried two types of naan, the butter and garlic and we liked both. Made in a hot clay tandoor oven, the crisp but tender flatbread was a perfect complement to the richness of the mac and cheese. Many people were coming in for the wings. I can't wait to try them on my next visit! Burger Naan also offers traditional fare for the American palate. The owner could not be nicer. The atmosphere is OK (they only just opened and are still making improvements), but the hospitality is second to none.
