My wife ordered their chop salad, but they'd run out of that, so she got a house salad instead - and yes, the server did inform us of the switch and made a cost adjustment without being asked. A high point of Ellwood is an above-average wine list. We tried a new cabernet which was good. The wine bottle was opened by the server without it touching the table - nicely done! The steak was cooked properly, and was oh so tender. Very nicely seasoned. The sautéed spinach was perfect - plenty of garlic. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her dish. Dinner was so good, any thoughts of dessert were abandoned. We had wine left over, so they put that in the right sealed bag with a receipt so it could be legally transported.
