Appointments are typically scheduled in advance - often in a series of sessions that span several weeks or months - to ensure continuity of care and steady progress. This consistency has been essential to my recovery. CLIENT / PATIENT CARE Physical therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience - it's a journey, and I'm still on mine. While I'm not fully recovered yet, I've come a long way, and that progress is thanks to the amazing team at Burger Physical Therapy - especially my Physical Therapist, Sam. Sam is absolutely incredible. She's compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply attuned to the needs of each person she works with. She meets you where you are, both physically and emotionally, and walks with you - step by step - toward where you need to be. No Bueno. First appointment was at 745 am, they didn't show up until 8:05 am. Next appointment at 1 oclock, they contacted me at 12:45 to say I needed to wait until 2 o'clock. Obviously they don't value your time and the secretary made it clear that it was just too bad...take it or leave it. I was very unimpressed with the office as it was very dingy and drab and not what you would expect a medical office to be. I also thought it did not seem very clean. This appointment was to be with an "assistant " not the physical therapist though I was going to be charged as if I was seeing the real physical therapist. I do not recommend Burger physical therapy in Grass Valley if you have a medical issue that you need help with. read more

This Location and staff are freaking awesome. I had a bad lower back injury that I got while at work and it wasn't a pleasant feeling at all. I could hardly sit or stand for long periods or lift anything or push anything heavier than 5-10lbs. But My Physical Therapist Kristi and her aides got me back to being functional enough to get back to a somewhat normal routine. Getting to 90% was a beat down but I stuck to the exercises that she had me do while there and at home. Now that I'll be going back to work soon...I will most definitely keep doing the things they had me doing and more because I plan to be 100% soon enough. I had to go to physical therapy after getting a pinched nerve in my back that also affected my neck and arm. There are two PTs here. Don is wonderful. When I told him the things I had trouble doing, he knew which muscles to address. He was able to find knots and tight spots I didn't know I had. He helped me figure out what was helpful to my recovery and what was not. I felt better after each visit with him. As for the other PT, she is less experienced and less helpful. read more

If I could rate less than 1, I would. They successfully billed my insurance company for services not rendered. I have a copy of their records and discovered they DID NOT provide occupational therapy - only physical therapy. But yet they billed my insurance company for occupational therapy. I informed my health insurance company but they won't believe me. In addition, the traveling therapist was horrible. I quit Burger and resumed my therapy with Pro Dynamics located in Granite Bay. The PT at Pro Dynamics was able to undo all of the damage (or should I say LACK of appropriate physical therapy) inflicted upon me by the traveling therapist at Burger. I was very happy with the hands-on physical therapy I received from Burger Physical Therapy. I previously went to my healthcare's physical therapy and while it was good, there were more hands-on therapies given at Burger, such as TENS, traction, and massage using a percussion device. Even though I'm high risk for COVID, I felt they were taking good precautions to keep me safe. I would highly recommend them. read more

I found that Burger Physical Therapy is great... when you can get in. They are severely understaffed and as such you are lucky to be seen once a month (assuming your condition is not top priority). They are also not the best at active rescheduling. If you miss a visit or they cancel on you, good luck! Don is truly the best but has since left. Dan cured me of a very disturbing dizziness caused by the little crystals in your ear canals being dislodged from where they are supposed to be. This causes your eyes to go back and forth really fast and makes you feel nauseous. I had this condition for 2 month until I started going to Dan who after 3 visits cured me! I was so happy because I hated having this condition. He was very professional, explaining everything clearly and was watchful to make sure he wasn't pushing me too far with the maneuvers that can cure it. My therapist is Priya and she is absolutely amazing. My neck pain is almost completely resolved and I'm 72 years young. Also, she has given me physical therapy for my right shoulder. Cannot say enough great things about Don Tran! He is amazing! This is the second time I see him. I somehow slightly dislocated my left hipbone without knowing it. I was hurting badly and my doctor recommended physical therapy. I did my research and came to see Don. He immediately pointed out the underlying cause of the pain when he saw me walking into the room(!) and within minutes he aligned my hipbone! My pain was instantly gone! This time I twisted my ankle and he did a thorough assessment and came up with a very feasible plan. I'm excited that we have a treatment plan knowing that with Don this problem will be fixed too! Steve is the most fantastic Physical Therapist and he really makes you work hard so you can progress and get better. All the front desk staff are terrific too. I had a Trimalleolar ankle fracture and Steve did wonders to work my Achilles heal back into shape and to build strength and range of motion. Sarah is an absolute miracle worker. After living with a painful shoulder injury ("bootcamp" at the gym) and realizing it wasn't getting better on its own, I consulted my physician who suggested trying to rehab my shoulder prior to making a decision for surgery. Within a month, my range of motion is nearly back to 100% and the pain is down from a constant 9 to an occasional 2. Everyone in this place is friendly. The way they all work together as a team makes every visit a pleasure. Home exercises and stretches are well explained and easy to follow. Making appointments is supereasy and flexible for my crazy work hours and travel schedule. They took care of all the insurance mumbo jumbo too which I truly appreciate. Convenient location, parking...well....physical therapy right? You would think that they would have parking specifically for the patient, mainly because most of the people that come here have been injured therefor require physical therapy, my husband broke his ankle and he has to walk quite a distance to get into the office, and lets just say people in the parking lot are not gracious when waiting for him to cross the "street" The office is nice, the equipment is clean and for being a smaller physical therapy office they have plenty of equipment, My husband has seen four different physical therapist which I personally do not like, continuity of care is very important, especially during the healing process, each time my husband sees someone new he has to re-explain himself. The first time he really liked the person he seen, he said that they were very approachable and they listened to him and didn't push him to hard to fast, the second person he has seen the most, he does not like him, he said that he makes him feel as if he is not trying/does not want to get better, which could be further from the truth every evening I help my husband exercise so he can heal faster. He said that he tries to explain things to him and he is arrogant and listens but will dismiss everything my husband had said, after each session with this particular therapist my husbands ankle swells up pretty bad and he is in pain the following day, (we have read and researched that when bones are healing you should never over work yourself for this reason.) my husband has told the therapist about his pain and swelling and his response: "you want to get walking right?" SERIOUSLY? He seen another guy who was covering and my husband really liked him, he said he listened to his concerned even did a massage that loosened a tendon that had restricted him from moving his foot, he was super happy about that, he even showed me some exercises I could help him with at home. Yesterday my husband again seen someone new, which my husband liked he said he was a little rough but, he gave him useful tips and enjoyed conversing with him. I work in the medical field and I pay attention to everything, so a few side notes, the furniture is not cleaned regularly (waiting area) the receptionist is constantly on her phone, very sweet and helpful, but phones should be put away out of patient view...Or maybe I'm just old school?? Magazines are scattered and old, and it is extremely hot in the waiting area. The bathroom never has toilet paper, soap or paper towels, luckily Bel Air is right next store so I'm able to get groceries and use the bathroom if needed! Finally, billing, We have still yet to get a bill, he has had 2 sessions a week for the last 2 months and not one bill?? Not looking forward to that, Oh yeah it was our (patient's) responsibility to find out what our coverage was?? I guess there is a first time for everything, any medical, dental, optometrist, dermatologist I have ever been to has always had a financial coordinator which will explain your benefits to you. I've asked my husband if he would like me to find somewhere else for him to go he said no it is fine, he's a guy... go figure, so I guess it is not that bad, the location again is very convenient and most of the physical therapist have been awesome, listen and are helpful. I really would give 2 1/2 but I don't have that option, So I will give two, perhaps if we seen the more helpful physical therapist the whole time my rating would be three stars, and again I work in the medical field so my standards are much more higher! read more

I went there for a couple of years for back and jaw pain, only because that's the only PT place that's covered by my insurance. Cons: 1. Dipauli (therapist) is rude and did not care to help me. Instead of finishing with my treatment plan (~6 sessions), she cut me off and said we should stop since I wasn't progressing enough for her liking. Such determination! Sorry Dipauli, but 15 years of chronic back pain is not going to improve in a few sessions, especially when you spend half of that time forcing me to do ridiculous warm ups on the stationary bike and then checking yourself out in the mirror while you're supposed to be concentrating on talking to me about physical therapy. 2. When I complained about my Dipauli experience to the manager, Tim (and I followed up as well), he promised twice to follow up with me on the outcome of his discussion with Dipauli, and promised to forward my complaint to a higher manager who would contact me, but I was never contacted by either party. Shows how seriously they took my complaint. 3. Maya (receptionist) lacks customer service etiquette. Never smiles or says thank you during payments, appt bookings, etc. 4. Despite dozens of visits, money and time spent and practicing the techniques I learned at home, neither my back nor jaw pain has improved. Pro: Steve (therapist) & Emily? (receptionist) are the only good aspects about this place- they're nice and try their best to help. read more

I went to Burger through a referral by my attending physician. Not only did they waste my time, there was exactly zero improvement. I attended from Feb 18 until March 3 of 2016. On top of that i was billed over a period of four months. First on April 22 then again on June 15. Worse than that when i called to inquire about the bill a woman whose English was unintelligible could not explain why i had a duplicate bill and i was billed for the same services twice. She did not offer me a resolution until i brought up the insurance commissioner's office. She didn't even know what insurance carrier i have. Nice job Burger, fail, fail FAIL! Burger Physical Therapy are awesome! I went in with a problematic hip and numbing leg that was causing pain. When I went to a specialist, he told me that it was runners knee that was affecting my leg and hip and suggested I could either get a shot or physical therapy. I'm so glad I chose therapy. The first thing Don, the physical therapist, told me when he ran stretch/strength tests was that my problem was my back and posture, not runners knee. After our first session I noticed a difference. I met with Don on a weekly basis and he introduce me to new strength tests and stretching poses that I had to follow and build on throughout the duration of my recovery. Each session would end by the assistant giving me a printout of our workouts. Don was never pushy and he would always listen to my concerns and feedback which made for comfortable visits and discussions. I've never had much luck with Dr.'s or chiropractors because they never really solved any problems. They'd either guess what the problem was or just prescribe pills. I'd usually just half recover by simply resting or living with the pain. yes, this place is not helpful. I already see a wonderful therapist in Folsom but since I LIVE in Natomas I was going to give this place a try. First call, spoke with Mya who flat out told me I would have to get ANOTHER referral from my doctor or else it would cost me $150.00 plus $75.00 outside of my insurance. She was not helpful and quite condescending. I guess this place is one of those places that doesn't strive on getting and retaining new customers. I will make the drive to Folsom so that I get the professionalism that I expect. Thanks for nothing Burger - I guess the other bad reviews are correct. read more

I just got finished Salinas post and honestly she must be from another planet. There's a spot to drop off people (like me) that have trouble walking right in front of the office. Obviously she wasn't smart enough to see it. I've been going to Burger for over 6 months and they're awesome. The facility is cleaned several times a day, it's cool inside, and I'm on a first name basis with most people in there. None of what Salina said is true. All the therapist are familiar with each patients case and you can't expect people to work 7 days a week Salina. Everyone has a day off. Anyways this is by far the best facility in Natomas. I have no idea why this location rates only 3 stars overall. I've been treated here over the last couple months for a ruptured tricep tendon (post op). I have been primarily treated by Don, being assisted by Raina, and Alma, but on occasion Depali, Steve, and the other techs have provided therapy as well. The entire staff have been patient, respectful, and encouraging. Don took the time to properly assess my injury, condition, and abilities from the beginning. Don steadily added exercises, and stretches not only helping my arm, but payed close attention to my body movement overall, working on areas I have been using to compensate for the loss of my dominant arm. My arm is getting stronger every day, and I have been genuinely optimistic about this recovery. This has been my second surgery on the same tendon, and the first go around didn't go as well to say the least. I can only assume some of the less than stellar reviews were made by individuals that have had no experience with other physical therapy locations, and/or have unreasonable expectations.
