Appointments are quick to meet the needs of the clients. The office staff work with the parents to meet financial needs and to ease the stress of the parents. Not many places you would see the Executive Director sitting on the floor playing with the children, but you will see that at CTC. I have witnessed children carried through the doors and after getting Therapy at CTC, I have seen those same children WALK back out those doors! I have seen mothers cry because after sessions of Speech Therapy they heard their child the first time say "I love you mama". That's priceless and that's what CTC helps happen all the time!!

My daughter regressed during treatment & the team actually recommended cutting her treatment hours! The speech therapist decided she didn't want to work with my 2 year old anymore after we nicely requested she use a more play based approach rather than forcing our toddler to operate toys while crying, (how is that speech therapy?) These people are beyond unprofessional. When our older child received therapy here, there was some miscommunication w/ our insurance concerning coverage. They didn't realize this for months and we ended up accruing a sizable debt- which was no fault of ours. They hounded and harassed us to no end - although we were making regular payments. I would steer far away from this place. Their vision is great, but the way they are treating clients is horrible. In my experience with quite a few therapy centers this is the ONLY place we have ever been treated so badly. I makes me so sad that we wasted almost a year and half of my daughter's crucial early intervention period with this place. Never again

Amy is absolutely amazing with kids, parents, volunteers, students, horses, you name it! I have worked with Amy with multiple different clients and have seen so much progress and growth in all of them. I think that Amy does a great job connecting with parents and providing parent education before, during, and after sessions so parents are aware of how OT and hippotherapy are helping their child, and I've heard many grateful and positive feedback from parents and caregivers. Amy also makes OT fun for the clients! Clients enjoy playing games, making crafts, and learning horseback riding all while improving gross and visuomotor skills, fine motor skills, core strength, emotion regulation, body awareness, and executive functioning. Amy takes the time to make sure that I am learning constantly and getting the most out of my volunteer experience and really solidified my knowledge and passion in the field of occupational therapy. I enjoy coming back every week to connect with the kids and watch them grow. Two of my favorite moments were listening to a client excitedly tell Amy and me about all the progress he had made over the past week in between sessions and how he had applied his skills at school. Another moment was really heartwarming when we saw a client go out of his comfort zone and try a new food. Emily is amazing as well, and is a key part of the hippotherapy sessions. I really enjoy working with her and she is excellent in handling the horses, keeping the clients safe while riding, and emphasizing the importance of communicating respectfully before, during, and after riding

It's an amazing place to play, and even their private events are very affordable. The older tweens had a blast jumping, climbing, and running around the space. I highly recommend this resource for all kids--not just those with special needs. It would be a fantastic and budget-friendly option for a younger child's birthday party as well. They offer tables upstairs where you can set up cake and food, which makes hosting even easier. One thing to keep in mind is that the gym is designed for a smaller group, so their limit is around 10 kids or fewer. But overall, it's a wonderful place to let kids have fun, explore, and get their energy out!

She is very knowledgeable, sweet, and makes sure parents know what is going on with their kids. She has come to me with concerns about my daughter, and her milestones. I've seen her question parents about marks on their children (which is sad, but lets be honest, this is a low income program with not the best of parents). But, it shows she obviously cares. The program is great. It's very hands-on. I was honestly skeptical about a low income program, I thought it would not be very well funded, but I was wrong. The children have SO many great activities, and things to play with & learn with. There are three outdoor play areas, one with a great playground. The classrooms are all very clean & even have class pets :) (fish haha). They also bring in many different people such as nutritionists, speech therapists, etc. to make sure the children AS WELL AS PARENTS get everything they need. They have monthly parent meetings that inform parents about what they children are doing, as well as offering info such as healthy eating habits, how to successfully transition into Kindergarten, and many other programs. They offer a very hands on approach to learning. They have a 'subject' they study that changes every few months. Ex: first few weeks was all about clothing, they then put on a fashion show for all the parents. Second, was about Buildings. Now, they are learning about the Ocean & Fish. They work on writing, ABC's, Measurements, Colors, Shapes, etc. everyday. I've been in the most contact with Teacher Adriana, Teacher Amalia, and Teacher Cassie. My daughter & I both think they are all great!
