I went here after Christmas to get some food that was not part of the casino. The place opens at 10:30am and it does get packed around 11am. It is a sit down place and you can do drive in if you want. I got a burger and fries for $13 dollars and the service was great that I ended up over tipping. The burger itself was very juicy and delicious. I also ate all of the fries. They give you quite a bit for what you pay and really were good. We simply adore the food at Burgerland. This time I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and hubby ordered the hamburger and both were outstanding. The burger patties are very flavorful and of course, those french fries!!!!! They are really just about the best. We split an order of the fries and still had enough to bring home....hello there, air fryer!!!! The service is VERY attentive and you never have to ask for refills and they stay on top of the orders even when there are many many to go orders going out at the same time. This place has the coolest setting and I love how they leave the old look. I saw on the wall a picture of the building back in the beginning and it was the cutest old Dairy Queen. This is by far smaller than any modern Dairy Queen but we really enjoy the diner style with the stools at the counter. Don't be surprised if someone sitting nearby strikes up a conversation. If you are driving through Paris, Texas, make sure to stop here for the French fries alone. The burgers were fine, but the fries were the real star of the show. I loved the authentic old-time diner vibe at this place. We had to wait for counter seats at lunch since the only other option was outside, and no thanks to that on a 90-degree day. If you can hit it just after the lunch rush at noon, you'll probably be fine. Hubby had the patty melt, which was actually better than the burger. One item on the menu really caught my eye that a local was chowing down on, though I forget the name. It looked like a chicken breast topped with onions or chilis and served with Texas toast. Whatever it was, it looked delicious. But back to the fries. I honestly cannot remember a better batch I've had. They were almost crispy, golden, REAL potato-y, and addictive!!! The cook/chef is a fast, accurate cooking machine of a person (what a show). Prices are reasonable. The word "ambiance" is too fancy of a word for this tiny diner (get to know your neighbor next to you place). There is some overflow seating outside but I prefer inside. She recommended the regular burger with cheese, all the veggies, mayo, and mustard, plus a side of fries. Excellent choice. They might not win a beauty contest, but they were crunchy, addictive, and seasoned with a house blend that made them unforgettable. Stopped here for lunch when passing through Paris on a Thursday. This is a tiny burger joint with a lot of seats around a bar, and also covered area with picnic tables outside. The menu consists of burgers , fries and dogs of different varieties. I had the patty melt, hubby had the cheese burger, we shared fries. People working there are very efficient and we were seated and our orders were taken right away. Service is great, food is terrific! It was fun to watch the guy at the grill.
