In 1980 they moved to Vero Beach on Dixie Hwy and relocated to their present location in Royal Palm Pointe in 1991. This family run business handles estates and collections from Miami to Orlando. Inside the store you will find room after room crammed floor to ceiling with art, antiques, jewelry, collectibles, china, and furniture. You have to be careful as you maneuver because every surface contains a treasure. Prices were out of my budget but if you are looking for a certain item I am sure they have it. Their collection spans time as well as continents. I saw many items that I have only seen in museums like a German mustache cup. They have one they talk about on their tour at the St. Lucie Historical Society museum. It's a china cup with a built in lip to catch a gentleman mustache so it doesn't get wet when drinking coffee or tea. Even if you are only browsing it is like a museum in here. I loved my visit to Rennick's. You could easily get lost for hours. The staff was so sweet and welcoming too. If you have any interest in history or antiques then you will want to come here because this store is a wonderful place to time travel back to the finer things of the past.

When you find something you like, bring it up front. This store has a a bit of everything. There are rows upon rows of stalls filled with antique furniture, clothes, jewelry, accessories, books, textiles, ceramics, glass, lighting, home goods, vintage toys, holiday decorations, antiques, and more. A vintage elephant serving bowl and vintage Florida souvenirs caught my eye. They even had some of the vintage Pyrex that I love. I found a unique item for my collection of china and the people who checked me out were friendly. What makes this store special is the Florida centric art by the African American artists known as The Highwaymen. They were a group of artists around the Fort Pierce area who quickly created Florida folk art featuring landscapes from oil paints on Uppson board used as roof sheeting. From 1950-1980 they would anonymously sell the art out of the trunks of their cars on A1A and US 1 from Daytona to Miami. At the time the art could be purchased inexpensively but the paintings have grown significantly in value. I love the nature scenes which are the subject of the paintings. Many feature blazing red Royal Poinciana trees, sunsets, and native birds. I love seeing Florida through their eyes. Paintings were originally sold for $25. Now they go for hundreds. If you are in town, stop by. You never know what treasure you might discover.

The first thing I noticed about the shop is that glorious scent as soon as you enter the store. It is wonderful and never something that can be purchased because it is a combination of scents and fragrances. They do have a nice candle selection of candles beginning with the Yankee candles and the hard to find long stem candles which add a touch of elegance to any space. They even have candles that crackle when they burn and definitely remind you of fall and being close to the fireplace. They have lots of little "machines and things" that seamlessly fit into your décor and introduce wonderful scents into the air. If you like the scent of a candle without the flame, try the wax pottery. They have those special "Poo-Pourri sprays" that are great for keeping things fresh (if you know what I mean). You simply spray and go and all is right with the world. If you want to set an elegant holiday table, they have these miniature tree branches that light up and can easily be incorporated into a very nice centerpiece. The possibilities are endless! All of that aside, I was drawn to the beautiful cards that they have available. I think the specific companies are Blue Mountain and Mosaic. These are modern cards for modern times. They beautifully express my thoughts and feelings and I just love them. I like to just buy a few for times when I am missing friends or just want others to know how much I appreciate them.
