I've been in multiple times for either cleaning or repair. The workers are super friendly and nice. It's always quick whether you're dropping off or picking up your items. Only have had one time where something wasn't ready when it stated and it was when I needed an item fixed. read more

I took a Bridemaids dress to be cleaned. When I went to pick it up, there were 2 large snags down the front of the dress. While I waited, the employee called another store to find out what to do. I was told that they would have someone look at the dress and get in touch with me in a few days. 10 days later and no call. I called the main location and was told that they were unaware of the DAMAGED dress. Now I am told it could take 2-3 weeks for claims department to hand it. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Our terrible experience with Burke Cleaners (Spruce Hills Drive) suggests that it is a company that operates devoid of ethics. Burke ruined a very costly dress due to what we later learned is their inability to properly clean formal wear. Rather than call to inform us of this important detail and give us a choice to take the garment elsewhere, they chose to simply wash it in a machine that subsequently damaged it. When we took the dress back to complain, the 'manager' was highly unprofessional and proceeded to blame us while acknowledging they didn't know what to do so they 'threw' it in the machine. She was informed that Burke needed to take responsibility. She refused to apologize and took the dress stating that management will have to examine it. Over a week later (and void of communication in the meantime), this woman called for us to pick up the dress. When asked about resolution, she refused to talk other than to say that there was a 'note' attached to it. When asked what the note said, she responded very rudely and with a heightened tone "I don't know, just read the note!" The note was nonsensical, this time blaming the manufacturer. I attempted to contact the manager of the 'review' department and she chose to not return my call. I called and spoke with the owner of Burke; he too refused to take ownership for Burke's gross incompetence, to offer an apology, or to solve the problem caused by his company. We agreed to have a subsequent phone conversation to try to resolve the problem and he refused to return my call. Suffice it to say, Burke has successfully driven our business away through their shameful business practice. Burke's sheer incompetence and inability to provide a minimal level of customer service is disgraceful; their brazen lack of professionalism surreal. Had I researched prior on-line reviews we could have saved ourselves from this mess as there appears to be a pattern of such behavior and negligence with Burke Cleaners. Hopefully this review will save even one person from making the same mistake. read more
