My now-husband & I…read morebooked them for our October 2024 wedding for both photography & videography (this review is long overdue, I know) From the initial consultation all the way to when they delivered the final pictures/film --- they were an absolute dream to work with. Our package came with a free engagement shoot but since we already had our engagement shoot, we invited them to come a day early (only if they could) & capture our rehearsal. They didn't miss a beat - they were there during our rehearsal run-through at our venue and were able to get a lay of the land prior to the big day. After our rehearsal, it was golden hour so of course, Adam took a couple shots of my husband & I (took not even 10 min) & let me tell you, from the previews he sent me THAT night --- I was so blown away with how beautiful they turned out. He definitely has an eye for it! FYI - Our package also came with an additional photographer & videographer. So when it came to the day of, they introduced us to James (from StateFarm, lol) & Laura. This completed the DREAM TEAM! Cannot stress how amazing it was to work with these 4, A. MA. ZING! Being the Type-A bride that I was, I provided Mooncrest with a Shot List on request & they delivered on that. They made sure to get the shots we wanted & even some bonuses that we didn't think about. This is why we leave it up to the professionals :) They were professionals but it also felt like we were surrounded by friends. I know they probably get this all the time, but they were hella cool & tbh, if we lived closer - they'd be awesome to hangout with. We received our final edited photos right before Christmas so it served as an early Christmas present to finally see pictures from our wedding & WOW, they turned out so beautiful! From the edits to the stolen (candid) shots - AMAZING (using that word for the millionth time in this review). When we received our Teaser Film, they also provided a "Message from your guests" video, which was a complete surprise for us & a wonderful surprise at that. It was so cool to see our friends and families wishing us well, behind-the-scenes style. Such a great bonus! Once we received our full wedding video, they provided a Documentary Edit so that we can relive the moments in real time - First look, private vows, ceremony, & speeches. So, something to make note of - during the initial consultation --- my husband only had one request, he wanted to make sure all the speeches were recorded. So I am guessing this led to them providing the Documentary Edit & we are soooo thankful for this. It's something we can watch over & over again & relive the key moments. Our final wedding film took the cake! Adam & his edits, geeez louis! This man has got the eye and talent. His edits were impeccable & we couldn't have dreamed of a better way of capturing one of the most important days of our lives. From the songs he chose (which he used our friend's cover who performed during our cocktail hour) to the cuts/transitions -- *chef's freakin' kiss! The day of our wedding went by in a blur but the photos and film captured, we will forever cherish. Mooncrest helped us remember things that happened during the day that we don't even recall because it went by so fast. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone. If you want pictures that look like they're out of a magazine and videos give you the feels - BOOK MOONCREST! You will not regret it!

We barely know where to start. On a scale of 1-10, Peer goes to 11!…read moreHe helped us manage the time and types of photos so well and captured so many great moments, we don't believe anyone could have done better. Peer has a great eye and seemed to be right where he needed to be to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments just as they happened throughout the day. He was able to get through family photos so quickly after the ceremony and keep everyone in line. He pays attention to little details as well, like making sure everyone took off their sunglasses. He came to the rehearsal the night before to meet everyone and give input on where people should stand and when to pause for photos to get the best shots. We did not pay for a videographer and with all the wonderful photos, we did not need one. He was able to capture the day so perfectly that we will be able to relive our perfect wedding day forever. He was there from getting ready in the morning, to the final dance at the end of the night. There is also the added bonus with Peer of the cost - we received quotes from several photographers so we know that he should absolutely charge more than he does (though we are happy he doesn't, haha!) In the future, we would (and hopefully will) rehire Peer again. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone without hesitation! We ended up with over 1200 incredible photos, and he sent them to us only a week and a half after the wedding. We were still on our honeymoon, looking through our wedding photos. We were very disappointed. The bride's three little girls (8, 5, 3) were in the wedding party…read more Peer never learned their names; never encouraged them to smile; did not work with them at all! They are just standing there in most of the photos. Also, a ton of the photos are just of people standing around talking. Nothing you would want on a photo frame or printed. Also, the bride wanted photos on the beach. The wedding was on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Peer wanted to take photos under a tree because the lighting would be better. (Is he a professional or not?) Well, the ocean is bleached out white in the photos! After the tree photos he agreed, after the mother insisted, to meet us down the short walkway at the beach after the bride used the restroom. He never showed up. We waited 40 minutes. The mother took photos with her phone and the bride and groom thought they were the best photos of the day. The point of the story: Someone can do with a phone camera what this guy did as "a professional." And probably most importantly, Peer didn't even remove the glare on the groom's glasses in the photos! We are all very disappointed in the photos. Why he received 2 stars: He was on time (at least at the beginning of the day.) He was mostly nice. ( The mother didn't appreciate the GLARE she received from Peer when she suggested the groomsmen line up like the bridesmaids on either side of the couple rather than the guys in a triangle and the girls in a line on either side of them.) First of all, I want to be her best friend. She's so kind, super funny, she matched our banter well and we had so much fun with her. I have never been a fan of being in photos, and when I opened ours I actually cried with how happy I was this them. To make me feel so happy, to capture our little family and our love so well when we're both awkward people, is something so beyond talent, hard work, experience and skill. First of all, I totally forgot about engagement photos. She followed up a little bit after booking with her, and we set a date that was a ways out as my fiance was injured and wanted to wear shoes rather than a rehab boot Then, she asked if I need outfit help. I work a job with a uniform, and have two t-shirts and one pair of jeans that double whammy as my work jeans and nice jeans, so the answer was yes. She asked a few follow up questions to determine what our style is. Within an hour she had made a Pinterest board for us with over 50 pins of outfits for the both of us. It was perfect and thanks to her shopping for this photo session was a breeze. Then the time came for us to be in front of the camera. Kirsten learned very quickly that we avoid cameras But within minutes, thanks to her coaching and prompting, we were able to let our guard down, be silly, have fun and have some wonderfully intimate looking photos. She went above and beyond walking our property, finding nice spots, getting us to loosen up and be comfortable, and she included our pup Maggie in everything she could! When we tried a photo I thought would be cute but wasn't working because the puppy was being a puppy, Kirsten said let me try something, and was able to photoshop the shot for me. So silly but something so kind and considerate of her to do. Can't recommend her enough for her skills and her personality, and I am so excited to have her on our wedding day and will be a loyal customer throughout our life.
