After enjoying shopping here years ago, my past three - four drop ins have solidified that I am no longer going to bother with it. First, the parking lot there is always full of trash, buggies, and people in their cars blowing pot out the windows. Thankfully, they have lit up the lot with some additional, mobile lights because at dark, it's not safe in a lot of the lot. I came in after having past success with coats (once even after they dropped the "Coat Factory" from the name), but I guess they don't even bother with coats anymore. I also used to find great baby gifts and kids items. The store has cut off about half its space so it's a lot smaller than in past years. There really is no rhyme or reason to how the clothes are put on the racks. Yes, I know patrons put things out of place, but at least have some staff there to try to keep things neat. After finding no coats and not wanting to sort through the aisles of junky clothes or fight with all the people crowding them, I headed to housewares where I found a couple of items that I had been thinking of grabbing had I seen them. The kids area had clothes and things thrown everywhere. Shoes were in wrong size areas. The store smelled musty and really needs a deep clean. While looking through the aisles, I was privy to a colorful conversation between two employees who were not happy to be in that day. A few curse bombs thrown around about what they were doing was enough for me. I don't always like being at my job either, but to be so candid across aisles dropping s bombs and f bombs in front of so many just made me move on. I contemplated putting my items down and moving on, but I joined the line of about 30 people being handled by two registers (on a busy Saturday afternoon). It took 23 minutes to move through the line. The only plus was the family behind me who had apparently never heard of personal space left after about 5 minutes. The register staff were tired but sort of friendly, they did their best. When asked for my phone number for the frequent shopper program, I just told the girl, oh I won't be coming back. It is a shame because this used to be a place I enjoyed searching for deals at and finding gifts for people, but it's just not worth the experience anymore. read more

A negative reflection on Baton Rouge is that you are not allowed to use the shopping carts outside this establishment--I think this is a Baton Rouge issue and not Burlington. This place appears to be a little less organized and more cluttered than it competition however it accomplishes its goal of showing g and providing inventory to its customers and as such the favorable rating. read more

Store in disarray. ONE cashier working with 87 employees wandering around the store. You gotta recognize there are people in line trying to pay you! No excuse for this as there are plenty of staff to man these 9 registers. ONE open, 30 customers in line. read more

Walked up to the line after the last person was finished and the cashier said "I didn't call anybody yet, I'm still busy". Grosera ! The cashier we went to after was much friendlier but outside of her, everyone looked miserable. They wear it on their face. I don't want to shop in an environment where everyone looks miserable and makes you feel like an inconvenience. These days everyone is stressed and just trying to make it. Spending money when everything is already expensive is stressful enough without going to shop and deal with bad customer service. read more

Big and spacious, this Burlington Coat Factory seems to have it all with loads of variety in men's wear and an endless supply of ties, dress shoes. Service isn't the great here and I can't necessarily blame them. For a giant warehouse of a store, they can only employ so many people and if the customer base isn't really there (few people shopping even during the peak of holiday season) then there isn't a whole lot they can do. At least the place is secure, I got a nice little pat down from the security officer after I realized one of my clothes still had the button tag still attached. All in all, they have a good array of clothes here all of which are of decent quality and reasonable prices. Its worth coming out here for the latest deal, even if its mostly self-service. read more

Big & Tall section doesn't have a lot to choose from. Fitting rooms are ALWAYS closed. I live like 30 mins away and I kinda went out of my way to get to the store so I didn't want to buy something, have it not fit, then have to drive a half hour to return some $20 jeans. If anyone knows me, they know I find so many things at Burlington. I come here about once a week. I always leave with something lol. Sometimes cute clothing items, good baby deals and most recently home decor. I feel the home decor section has improved drastically over the last couple months. I find gems everytime now. I'm always excited to come back and see what's new. Everything is always really well priced too. The only reason for the 4 star is because I feel the mens section could use some improving. There is never any size small of anything. Pretty much the entire mens section is big and tall. Other than that, I love Burlington!! See ya next week read more

Huge compliments and thanks to the tailor - My husband has limited vision and we went in for a suit on a Saturday for a Monday morning funeral. She helped by measuring him, finding the right and matching pants and coat and shirt, and is able to get the alteration done same day (on Saturday we came in) for a Monday morning funeral. Wonderful, and my husband is happy because he wanted to be dressed right as a pall bearer. Plus the price was right, full suit ensemble with rush alteration was $130. Amazing. read more

This store is disgusting. It is dirty and the dressing rooms are NEVER open!!! We purchased a PAIR of shoes when we got home it was 2 right shoes!!! Upon returning to the store, the employees could not have cared less. I had to wait in a long line to return the purchase and there was only one register open! The store is dirty, the parking lot is dirty and there were people trying clothes on in the middle of the isle because the dressing rooms were closed. This place is kind of hit or miss for me. They do have things for discounted prices, but it's not always easy to find something. The junior section isn't very big at all. However the ladies section has a larger selection. I was able to find a cute shirt. This isn't a place I would choose to go to regularly and it always seems busy. It's not a bad place, just doesn't really suit me. read more

Love a Burlington! They have great deals. This one is large and pretty organized. Around the holidays checkout lines can be extremely long but they move smoothly. I always visit this location when I'm in Baton Rouge. Located in a nice shopping center with Marshalls next door along with many other shops. Worth your time for sure! read more

Love shopping at Burlington's. They're currently remodeling so there's s whole back section of the store where the coats use to be that completely empty no racks or anything. But they have more cute, inexpensive things now and a great baby section. I love it. Just don't like the long check out lines reminds me of Walmart with the 1 or 2 workers. read more

I swore this place off a long time ago because it was always a zoo and took 30 minutes to check out. They've changed checkout to a long line with automated voice to tell you which cashier to see (a la TJ MAXX), so that seams to be much better. Prices are cheap on socks ($2) but I've only worn a pair once so far...we'll see how they do after a wash. There's probably a lot of cool stuff here if you're patient enough to dig. I'm not. My experience wasn't bad and I found what I needed as fast as i could and left. That's how men shop. read more

Let me start off by saying that this isn't my kind of store. My mom used to come here and try to find a bargain back in the day. It was sooooooo disorganized and the wait to check out was absurd. I don't shop here personally. My son was doing a presentation at school and he had to dress up like somebody. Well he picked Henry Ford. He wore 3 piece pinstripe suits. I called Squires looking to rent one and the guy mentioned buying at Burlington would be cheaper. I walked into Burlington expecting it to be like what it was 3 years ago. It has been remodeled and is much more organized now. It was very easy to find what I needed. The checkout line runs nice and smooth unlike before. If you're looking for some reasonably priced clothing, give them a shot. read more

Year ago it was VERY disorganized, but its more organized now. However, be careful when getting some items because there are major flaws with some clothes, like HUGE rips and its like wow they still want money for THAT? The quality is not too great and it does not take long for the clothes to fall apart after buying them. Its cheaper than some places, but in some cases, just as high as others. I was just in this location, and as usual, I was in line for over 20 minutes. Once I reached the register, the cashier didn't greet me. She was talking to a coworker (who actually seemed to be a manager; she didn't greet me either). I was buying two pairs of shoes, a lunch bag, and a candle. As I was stepping away for a sec to place my basket away, they were mumbling amongst themselves. I return back within seconds and the coworker who isn't ringing me up is fondling with the sticker on one of my pairs of shoes. At this point I am just ready to insert my card and get my items and leave after being there in line for almost 30 minutes. Neither of them have said anything to me yet, and the cashier has stopped ringing my items so I ask what's the problem with the shoes, did someone alter the price tag? Perceived manager says yeah I think so....I then ask okay how much are they? Both of them say they don't know. All 3 of us just stand there for a minute and eventually I say well if you can't figure out the price, don't worry about it. They immediately say OKAY! (Yay neither of us has to actually leave away from our social setup and work and find the price for this customer!) Cashier removes the pair of shoes and then says "cash or card" never apologized for the inconvenience or offered to find the price, never told me my total. This store always provides an extreme melt underwhelming shopping experience and THEE ONLY reason to continue shopping here is for pricing an convenience. You will not receive good customer service and the store itself is always filthy. read more

Love the prices there. However the men's department is a absolute mess. Ties all over the place. Pants sizes are all mixed up making finding your size more of a chore than a pleasure. They really need more people to keep it organized. Felt like I was at bargain bin at times. They could also use more people at the cash registers. Don't go on Saturdays unless you have a magazine to read. Lines are long like walmart up in there. read more
