I went to this Burlington this past week. It's in the same shopping center as Nordstrom Rack, so I decided to stop in before heading over there. This Burlington was cool. Nothing to really write home about, but I did see a few cute things. They had some inexpensive Christmas items compared to other places, and I ended up getting some wall art. There was one picture I really liked, but for some reason it didn't have hooks on the back, which was kind of weird. The price was good though, so I might go back and get it. When I got there, there were about five of us in line and only one cashier. I notice that a lot at Burlington, so I guess you just know what to expect when you shop here. I didn't see a ton of things, but I also wasn't really looking for anything specific. I went in with no expectations, and for what it was, it was cool. I'd definitely stop by again if I'm already in the area. There's plenty of parking, like plenty. If you're coming here, check out Burlington before you walk into Nordstrom Rack. You might save some money and find a cute outfit, cardigan, or a little home décor piece. But if you're going in looking for something super specific, I wouldn't recommend it. Although I had a look around, I did not purchase anything at Burlington on this visit. I stopped in to return a few items purchased over the holidays. The extremely long lines were not present. A sufficient number of registers were open to assist the customers who were ready to check out. I will continue to stop in Burlington when I can. I look forward to more amazing finds. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I waited in line for 45 minutes and watched the supervisor (Valerie) come out to help her one cashier and then go back in the back and not come back again for 30 minutes. Jordyn Bowels was the only cash here working adequately. She deserves a raise! read more

I love Burlington Coat Factory. Years ago, when I lived in Rochester, MN, I didn't find the store appealing at all when I visited the Twin Cities. These days, when I return to the States and visit any Burlington store, I tend to find at least one cool deal. I appreciate the store more these days. As always, I dragged my friend over to shop at Burlington. She knows how much I enjoy shopping. The last time we were at a Burlington store, we spent two hours there, from trying on clothes to browsing computer bags. We did a similar routine this time around. Charlotte does not have a Kipling outlet store. My original plan was to visit Macy's and see what Kipling items were there. Instead, I found a decent selection of Kipling purses here (Kipling is the brand with the cute gorilla ornaments dangling from them). I fell in love with a black crossbody purse. I ended up wearing it for most of my time at the store, to see how it felt. I asked my friend to remind me to pay for the purse and not walk out of the place with it strapped on me. I was thrilled with this purse. Regularly, it would have been $90. I got it for $30. Go, me! We were in the shoe department the longest. My friend picked up two pairs of comfortable sneakers. There were Skechers and Polo at dirt-cheap prices. I didn't do well in the women's size 11 section. However, I came across a pair of Puma purple suede sneakers in the men's section. They were a size 9, which is normally what I wear on the men's side. I tried them on, but they felt a bit tight. My friend sprung into action. She came back with a pair of men's size 9.5. They fit better. They were mine. Regularly, these shoes were $80. I got them for $30. She did quite a bit of damage. She ended up buying a number of cheery blouses. I tried on this cute pleather jacket. It felt good, but it was way too big on me. Oh, well. We both paid for our purchases. The cashier that helped check us both out was busy chatting with her colleagues. My friend asked if the cashier could snip off the plastic tags on both pairs of shoes. She stopped talking for a good fifteen seconds to do this task, and then resumed chatting. It's funny, but both my friend and I decided to break our new shoes in the car. I drove with them on just fine. I wore my purple sneakers for the rest of the day. I didn't get any blisters. My feet were comfy. Hers were, too. This Burlington is in a plaza with plenty of parking. It is next to TJ Maxx. These two stores are often together in Charlotte, although I saw an exception towards the end of my stay there. (125) read more

This location has been turned over so many times and vacant for so long, it's great to see something here that looks like it will stay a while. Though with TJ Maxx right next door, I wonder if it was the best choice. But hey, I'm no retail expert. What do I know. It's a very large shop and while the name is "Coat Factory" they sell all the usual department store stuff. Men's clothing, Women's clothing, kids, housewares. There is a very good selection of coats with a variety of styles and prices. I actually bought a nice coat for $40, but there were options as high as $200. Checkout was a little slow. Plenty of parking, but watch yourself here because the traffic moves fast. read more

Burlington Coat factory is hit or miss. I've been here a handful of times and it's been a miss until today. Today I scored big! I found my $14.99 conditioner on clearance for $1.49. I bought every single bottle. Sadly though, they didn't have the shampoo but that's ok. I'll take whatever savings I can get. They have a small section of mis matched scrubs that you can find great deals on. They even have some grey's anatomy brand scrubs but it's hard to find a matching set. I don't have children but I'd imagine it's a great place to go for children's clothes and toys. Large selection of children's clothing. I actually really like their jewelry section too. I hate when I found costume jewelry I like but it's way overpriced considering it's fake. This isn't a problem at Burlington Coat Factory! Their cosmetic section is also hit or miss. Today they had a large selection of Bebe cosmetics. I just pop in every once in a while to see what they have in stock. Their stock changes daily. I've never taken the time to sort through their clothes though because it's just very disorganized and frustrates my OCD brain. read more

I mean... it's a chain. It's a Burlington Coat Factory. It's a surplus store. They're big, and generic, and have tons of stuff at reasonable prices. You'll never go and have a unique experience (unless you have a truly remarkably bad one, which I never have). The selection of all sorts of random surplus or rejected things from other retailers is mindboggling. On my visit last night though, a lot of the shelves and racks seemed empty or scant, at best. The large aisles that used to have linens and housewares seem gone. So, I am not sure if they're re-stocking or going out of business. One of the things I truly go here for, as a male, is their 5 for $10 dress socks deal. Can't beat that! Whether you like casual, dressy, or wild socks, they have it all! I had the worst experience at this branch of Burlington. I was shopping for a while and had a cart full of clothes and after waiting in line for over 30 minutes I told the cashier I wanted to do 3 separate transactions (mind you I had everything sorted and ready just needed to scan and take of sensors) and then another associate standing on the side (not doing anything) commented I could not do 3 separate transactions. I told her I work in retail and I know you can do it even with a line. So as I am doing my first transaction she goes down and talks to her manager and then the manager comes and tells me I can't do 3 transactions and to be mindful of the line. Of course I am confused at how they are acting and tell them it does not make sense, you should accommodate customers and just do my transactions because I am not waiting another 30 minutes in line its ridiculous. Also in the time they argued with me they could have checked out other people and be done with it. In the end I only did 1transaction and as I was walking out they were yelling at me to get out and leave...rude and then she did not even give me my recipt and I had to go back in for it and the cashier literally digged it out of the trash and gave it to me. If I can give this place negative stars I would and I hope to get compensated for my time and this embarrasment. read more

I'm not a huge fan of Burlington coat factory. They just seem to be a little more "messy" than some of their competitors. However, you can definitely find some good deals here. Parking is usually easy and being right next to TJmaxx you can hit them both up at the same time. read more

Poor management. Short staff or not you should still try your best to assist customers in a timely fashion. Line to the back of the store and store manager is unpack boxes instead of getting the line down ! read more

This place is awful. Inventory is pretty much nonexistent. Everything looks old and used. There's at least 20 people in line but only 2 cashiers. The AC doesn't work so it's also miserably hot. I will never shop here again! read more

This place is huge. As a male yelper, I wish that stores like this would focus more on equality in choices. You walk in and the men's section is in the left corner, while the women's section takes more than half of the building. It is just sometimes hard to find your sizes. This is place is more like a new clothes only thrift story and you have to get lucky to find something in your size that you like. The kitchen section is awesome. I am a huge fan of cheap kitchen gadgets and bakeware. read more

Burlington Coat factory is easily one of my favorite places to shop but I've been disappointed with them lately. However, this one is a very nice Burlington with a large variety. The store is very clean and organized which is hard to do in stores like this. The employees are extremely friendly and very personable and that always makes for a great shopping experience. Great Deals, cashiers need to be a little more polite.

This new location is just wonderful. It's a lot cleaner than the other Burlington stores and the customer service is excellent! I was looking for a suit for my friend, and the staff there walked me through sizing and styling for men's formal wear. They even went as far as modeling the clothes for me up and down the aisles! Terrible!! Standing in line for 15 min!! Staff out on the floor did not care that there was only one register open.

The line here is always insane and they're painfully slow. I don't think I've ever shopped here and waited less than 30 minutes in line.
