I have been putting off writing this for quite some time because I genuinely enjoy the care I…read morereceive from the hygienists and the dentist. They are the reason I have continued coming to this practice. I also understand that this office chooses to remain out-of-network with Delta Dental. That means I pay approximately $120 out of pocket for my routine cleanings, receive reimbursement directly from Delta, and then personally bring the insurance check back to the office. While this process is certainly less convenient than visiting an in-network provider where I wouldn't have to pay upfront, it has been my choice to continue my care here because I value the clinical team. Unfortunately, my experiences with the front office staff have become increasingly frustrating and have made me question whether I should continue as a patient. Over the years, my employer has gone through several mergers and acquisitions, which has resulted in my dental insurance changing multiple times. During one visit, the insurance coordinator asked me in front of other patients in the waiting room, "Your coverage is changing again?" That felt unnecessary and embarrassing. Insurance changes are often outside a patient's control, and verifying coverage is part of the administrative process. Another recurring issue is that I am repeatedly reminded--often multiple times during a single visit or phone call--that I need to bring in my Delta reimbursement check and pay my balance. I have been a patient for years and have always paid my bill. I routinely drive 30 minutes to deliver the insurance check once I receive it. Being reminded over and over, often within earshot of other patients, makes me feel as though I am not trusted, despite my consistent payment history. I have also found that whenever I question or seek clarification about insurance information, the front office staff immediately become defensive. Rather than working collaboratively to resolve the issue, I am often reminded of their job title or told they are correct. At this point, the interactions feel dismissive and, frankly, targeted. Whenever I need treatment beyond a routine cleaning, it becomes an exhausting back-and-forth between the office and Delta Dental. Delta tells me the office has submitted something incorrectly, while the office tells me Delta is wrong. As the patient, I am left in the middle trying to sort out issues that should ideally be resolved between the provider and the insurance company. Even something as simple as calling to schedule an appointment results in being reminded two or three times that I will need to pay. Again, I have been a loyal patient for years and have never failed to meet my financial responsibility. These repeated reminders have become unnecessary and make me feel like I am being treated differently than other patients. I wanted to share this feedback because I truly appreciate the excellent care I receive from the hygienists and the dentist. My concern is not with the quality of dental care--it is with how I have repeatedly been treated by the front office. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe every patient deserves to be treated with professionalism, respect, and discretion. I have made the decision to transfer my care back to Chapel Hill even though it's a significate longer drive.

We have been going here since Dr D came to Burington and it is like visiting friends when we go in. They always make sure we are ok. The WORST experience EVER…read more I was referred to TiC- Mebane and had my first appointment in January, 2025. January They asked me if I could come in an hour earlier because they had a cancelation, I agreed. I showed up an hour earlier than my original appointment. I sat there for over an hour waiting to be called back for my appointment. They reason they gave was that they didn't have my x-rays from my Dentist. They knew I was coming for a month, and they didn't request them until I got there for my appointment. NOTE: my Dentist had only taken two small xrays. The referral was for one extraction and to check another tooth. Dr. Park came in and told me he was going to pull two teeth. I told him NO that the referral was for one tooth. He NEVER looked in my mouth and based everything on the two small xrays and the referral. He was with me less than 5 minutes and this was the ONLY time he spoke to me. February I had an appointment for late February to have the tooth pulled. Unfortunately, I went to the hospital for a preexistence in early February. I contacted them to let them know. They told me they spoke to the anesthesiologist and he said I needed a release from the doctor, and we would have to delay the visit. March I obtained a release from my doctor and submitted it to them. I got a call that their electricity went out and we would have to reschedule. April I had to cancel my appointment due to a conflict with my work schedule. May I come in for the extraction. I didn't bring my phone since I was there for them to extract the tooth. My son came with me because they said someone had to drive me home. I got called back and sat in the chair. Since I was having anesthesia, she put leads on my chest and back so they could monitor my vitals. I spoke with her about the reason we canceled my appointment in February. She seemed surprised. After sitting there waiting for two hours, the anesthesiologist came in and told me he needed test results in addition to the release. He apologized and gave me a piece of paper to have my doctor fill out and returned to them. He told me they would schedule me quickly as soon as they got the paperwork back. I saw my Doctor on the 24th and gave them the paperwork and they faxed it before I left their office. I finally heard back from them in LATE June. They scheduled me for July 3rd. July Again, they called and asked if I could come an hour earlier because they had a cancelation. The waiting room was FULL. It felt like an assembly line-even more so once I got in the back. The nurse took me back and got me started. After an hour, the anesthesiologist came in had put in the IV. What he didn't tell me was that he also put in some medication to relax me. Every other time I have had anesthesia; they inform me of every step along the way. NOT here. So, he gave me the sleeping medication and I was out. Dr. Park stood in the back of the room until I was under. He never spoke to me. He DID pull two teeth instead of the one identified by my Dentist. He was not there - that I can recall - when I woke up. It took him less than 30 minutes to pull my teeth. They woke me up and started steering me out of the office. They gave me one pack of gauze and a number to text if I had any questions. I was still out of it when they took me out of the chair. There were people on each of my elbows holding me up and guiding me to my son's truck. They didn't give me any instructions on how to care for the open wounds in my mouth. I did send one text that was never answered. There is no follow up appointment or even a call to see if you are okay. Two weeks later my jaw was still swollen and bruised. On the third week I pulled out a piece of my tooth that had broken off during his extraction. DO NOT GO TO THE TRIANGLE IMPLANT CENTER IN MEBANE.

Dr Park said he would give me a discount on removing it I just had it removed cost me $2,200 plus 3%, because using a credit card came to $2266. For removal and Bone draft to fill in the hole.
