My friend was shopping for a wallet and what made this a five star review was the security guard at the entrance who let us in was very nice as we asked him where the wallets were. I will have to say that this particular Burlington Coat Factory is located inside of the Irving mall in Irving Texas! It has a whole lot of things in it and to be truthful everything is just kind of all over the place, but if you can find what you need it's a it's a deal. I went in looking for a comforter set and found an awesome deal on a really nice eight piece Bedroom set. It actually came out super nice! Return not too much longer later to pick up a couple of athletic items which they have a ton of that are priced super cheap. I was able to come away with a basketball and a few cones and I will be making another trip back to pick up some more cones if you are in the mood and looking for a place just to kind of walk around and gather items. This is the place for you. Everything that you need from home decor to just Every day household items is here. The checkout process is a little bit interesting I am not a fan of how you get checked out nor the customer service here it's kind of like they must treat their employees like just get here and get the line through! It's a lot of different things going on here to get in and get out you'll be greeted by security When you come in and security when you leave. The store is also very warm. I'm not sure why the AC is not on but each time I come into this location I do end up sweating a little bit, but I get in and get out! I do feel for the cashier that checked me out on my last visit who had a fan and a big thing of water beside him to stay cool I think something definitely needs to be done about that. read more

Want a sobering lesson in inequity to go with your next clothing purchase? Try Burlington in Irving Mall! The downtrodden shopping mall around you still contains both a Macy's and Victoria's Secret, which might lead you to believe that there is nothing horrible here to sniff out. But fear not, truth seekers! Reality looms gloomily for all who dare face it. From the entrance, Burlington looks very like a TJ Maxx, which made me optimistic about my chances of finding a dressy shirt for my niece's graduation: tidy rows of racks full of clothes organized by clothing type and size. The shirts seemed to be made from thinner fabric and the prices were lower than I would have expected at TJ Maxx, but I was able to find a white collared shirt with a grey pin stripe that seemed the right size. It said $40, but it ended up being $14. The other shirts I saw ranged from less than that to as little as $7.99. I found a group of registers, but when I approached one, the cashier shook his head. "There's a line," he mumbled, and gestured vaguely to his left. I was confused. What line? Even after the cashier gestured me in the direction, it took a minute to find it. He was right, there was a line. A long one, that folded back on itself! Why didn't I see it? Because it was hidden between a rectangle of uncharacteristically high shelves. And almost *all the people in the store* were in that line. Waiting. Once inside this shelf-maze, the shopper experience transformed abruptly: what was easy and quick became impossible, interminable. And worse, the sensible organization of the rest of the store was replaced by a dizzyingly random selection of products, many of them half out of their packages and just as many piled on the floor. Perhaps a Black Friday-style brawl had just ended, and nobody had gotten to cleaning up? But someone obviously had time to tidy the shop floor. The other participants in this depressing shelf-maze game were parents with kids, almost exclusively brown or black, many speaking Spanish. They weren't waiting here with their bored and fussy kids because it was fun or they had nothing else to do. Many looked tired. If they could instead have dashed off an order to Amazon.com or Walmart.com, I'm guessing they would have. They would have had to have a device, an internet connection and a credit card, though; and they would almost certainly have paid more in total. I have noticed the way people with less money tend to have to wait longer times for necessities: medical care, transportation, gasoline. It's sad enough. What medical clinics, busses and gas stations *don't do* is try to conceal from the rest of the world the way they are treating their patrons. Burlington *does* conceal it, deliberately or not, inside that high rectangle of shelves, with the patrons and mess visible only on the inside. And the larger mall may become a similar shield for those of us who shop online: if we don't go, we never see how the people without credit are treated by the decreasing number of retailers that still take cash. And the worse their dependence becomes -- the less the rest of us know -- the more those retailers will get away with. One more sad point: I expect that many of these folks know how to make their own clothes. But have you been to a fabric store lately? Fabric costs more than finished clothes -- especially clothes from Burlington. read more

I want to report this store for racist and boast behavior! I attempted to enter this store after 4pm today Saturday 6/6/2020 and was stopped by a worker saying they were already closed. I asked him at what time. He then looks at his watch and replies I can't hear you. I repeat and he says 3:30pm. Mind you there is a whole group of customers at least 20 still shopping in the store in the department sections. If they closed 30 minutes ago why are people still allowed to shop and roam the store? So I asked him why they were closed he said "well do you know what's going on in Dallas?" ...mind you I walked the entire mall afterwards, Macy's Dillard's, every shoe store including the jewelry kiosks are all open! And no one is being screened at the doors or told to go away! UPDATE: After 20 minutes of walking around the mall I come back and still a store full of customers shopping. I ask for the manager and Jeff comes to tell me they are allowed to gauge how long customers can linger in the store. So I asked him if you closed at 3:30 why are customer allowed to linger for 45 minutes still in the aisles and I point out people at the entrance as proof. He says that hey are allowed to do that. I reply to him Ive worked retail and if are supposed to be closed there are certain protocols for closing your registers on time and closing the store by end of business to make sure employees are not clocked in more than they should. It all doesn't make sense. read more

I'm only giving this location 2 stars for organization and cleanliness. I purchased a Disney wall decor piece for my niece and there were black skid marks on the side of it. When talking to the cashier he said he had to get the manager to come do the discount. We overhear the manager say to the other cashier "you called me all the way over here and you could've just done it". So she already had a shi*y attitude upon speaking to me. She told me "it's not torn so no discount can be given", so I was like but this was the last one and there's marks all down the side and she proceeded to say "it's at the managers discretion", so I just cut her off from saying anything else to me because I was trying to remain polite and get out of the store ASAP. Hopefully I can get ahold of the corporate office to make a complaint because I didn't deserve that type of customer service, or lack there of. read more

This is one of those stores you wish you could hate. Do you know what I mean? Like, it is located in a shady part of town, the store is cluttered, and the place is packed with customers. I mean, PACKED. The wait time for the registers is beyond ridiculous. But, in spite of all of that, I love shopping here! I wouldn't go to just browse through the racks, but I do go with some things in mind and pray for a lot of patience. A few days ago, I hit gold on some household items. One thing about me, I am a cheapie. Frugal. Bargain-shopper. Whatever you want to call me, but I love to find low, discounted prices. I make a bee-line to the clearance sections and then take my time. It is amazing some of the things you can find there! The patience definitely will come in handy while waiting on the slow-ass lines. Customers will bump into, kids run wild like their parents are no where in sight (which is probably true) and you will have to bite your tongue when you see some rude people butting in line. It is all worth it when you see that final low price on the receipt, I promise!! read more

When this place was in Euless it was pretty nice and had a very good selection.but since they moved to the Irving mall they went ghetto.very dirty un organized and the place is just a mess.can't really find anything in that place.I'm really not sure what happened to burlington or what happened to the Irving mall?back in the day it was a pretty nice mall but I guess those days are over because it turned ghetto too. read more

This is one of my go to spots if I need a tie or dress shirt. What they lack in customer service they make up for in price. Be prepared to wait in line for some time. Be prepared to spend time finding the right size. They usually have something that I can buy. I am always satisfied with my purchase. read more

Was just walking through Irving Mall and decided to stop in Burlington to look for a shower curtain rod. The store is pretty big and well organized. The store was clean not many employees around to ask any questions. I didn't buy anything this time, but the prices seemed pretty gois. read more

I Purchased a set of suspenders to wear with a suit. They did not fit. I took them back to return them and they would not except them since the tags have been removed. I never wore them, only tried them on and they did not fit. #Not a happy customer read more

Ok so this mall is not the nicest in the area, but this store seems to have pretty good deals if you keep your eyes open. I found a $90 pair of shoes for $30. Found some other pretty good things here. Decent selection of baby things. read more

They are extremely lacking in customer service. Found what I was looking for but not in my size. There's no one there to assist you. I went to the customer service desk and they were very indifferent when I asked if someone could possibly check to see if they had my size. The rep pretty much blew me off. The prices were good like all Burlington's. I found the merchandise I purchased to be in bad condition once I got it home. Wonderful work blouse section. Almost always sure to find something to mix & match. If you keep your head on, and remember you are in a Burlington, and not an upscale couture salon, you are sure to be pleased with the bargains you find. Prices are good, and the merchandise great.
