This place replaced the old Cookies uniform about a couple of years ago. Located in the busy Fordham Road shopping strip. Parking's meter. A variety of clothes and shoes mostly outerwear for women, men and children. I gave it 2 stars due to the half hour long wait just to pay for my purchases. There are only 7 registers and they're all on the main floor. That means 7 cashiers have to process all shoppers that shopped on 3 different floors. There are elevators available. They need to supply customers with more registers/cashiers on all 3 floors. read more

100% agree with previous reviewers. It really sucks coming here because the deals you can find are BOMB. However, the staff is pretty terrible. I mean I try to be nice but these people are awful at their job. Moving at a snail's pace when there's a long line of exhausted and angry customers waiting for you. I don't understand it! They have registers on all 3 floors minus the basement (the top floor is supposed to be just for layaway but they take regular purchases there as well), and there is never anyone on the second floor. This leads to the line being insanely long on the main floor. Why not send some people up to the second floor and expedite the process for everyone? I don't know, man. The employees must hate working there for obvious reasons (people being complete a-holes and leaving several items all over the store in different sections, opening packages of food and eating things..), but that doesn't excuse laziness or bad customer service. I definitely recommend shopping here, but prepare yourself for a very long wait! read more

Customer service is the worst. I can't believe I went there today and the line was long to the entrance and there were no express lines for 2 items. I only needed baby bottles for my 5 days old baby, so I went to ask the manager if I could pay for those two items. He said yes but went talking to his co workers about how I am lying or something. This really made me feel bad but as I am not strong enough. Even if some people lie about these things, there should at least have an express lines and I obviously had baby bottles. I went back and told them if I had any other choice I wasn't gonna buy the bottles. I hope next time the manager feel real sympathy for others and not just assume everyone is lying. read more

Holy cow this is a hugely dissapointing Burlington Coat Factory. I decided to spin by thinking that they would have the same selection as the Atlantic Center Location. I had no idea how wrong I was. The store is unorganized to a sad point, and there was NOTHING in my size - while the Atlantic Center one is literally my exclusive location for clothes my size. In all honesty I would rate zero stars or a negative if it were possible. My husband and I went in to buy a pair of shoes last week for a new job I was starting the next day. I tried on the shoes downstairs, waited on line, took them to the register, and my husband paid for them with cash and we even donated money to a heart cause. The clerk/girl who rang us up took down our phone number in case we needed to make a return. So a few days later my husband and I took the shoes back with the receipt to return them as they turned out to not be right for my job. Shoes were in brand new condition still and even had their stores size stickers inside the shoes. So we get to the register and present the shoes and receipt to the clerk for a return. She can't find the item number to put them in the system properly for return so another worker is called to help. She also cannot find the sku number so she gets on the telephone and says she's waiting for the manager. At this point were told to please stand to the side and a manager will be right there to help us with the return. 1.2.3.4.5.6.about 15 minutes later as were still waiting a very large man approaches us and asks us to please come with him into the back room or office. At this point were confused my husband and I are looking at each other like what the neck?? So this loss prevention specialist named TONE..lol..as he referred to himself told my husband and I that you both are banned from this location from here further and you know why! We said no actually we don't.? We bought these shoes here the other day and just want to return them. Well he says this receipt you gave us isn't for shoes. Well that's the receipt your cashier gave us when I purchased them with cash the other day. So he says I'm going to show you something..I'm going to show you something..meaning on the cameras.. He never showed us anything and actually asked us if we examined our receipt??.. Lol.. Yes after I purchased the shoes I studied the receipt before putting it in the bag. So he is treating us like we were criminals at this point. He asked us what color our cashier was when we bought them?? Were they white, black, Spanish, Asian.?? What did that have to do anything? So after all we waited for over a half hour to be treated like criminals!! Accused of thievery and lying about buying the shoes there. TONE claimed that they don't sell those shoes there and that we were trying to scam them for $20.. RIDICULOUS!! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!! If they bothered to actually look at the cameras they would have seen us pick out, try on, and purchase the shoes with cash. So their own employee the cashier obviously did something wrong but instead of thinking that was the case it was better practice and better for business to treat 2 paying customers, a young married couple as if they were thieves or common street thugs. We were treated with utter disrespect and zero manners especially by loss prevention specialist TONE. He should be ashamed of himself and the entire company and organization should do their homework and know the facts before treating good law abiding citizens/customers like criminals and complete shit!! The experience left such s bad taste in our mouths I'm going back there tomorrow on my day off to speak to the senior manager and complain about just how poorly and terribly we were treated. I hope and pray that no one else need go through the ridiculous and absurd experience we did. There is absolutely zero zero excuse or reasonable excuse or explanation as to how we were treated by TONE and other Burlington Coat Factory employees. Shame on Them!! read more

Burlington had such great selections for reasonable prices. I was on line and once I was going to pay a lovely young women named Monica helped me(plus her red hair looked amazing). She was really nice and kept a conversation with me and my little sister even though the line was long. Really great customer service truly. read more

i stopped by burlington coat factory on webster ave in the fordham section of the bronx and it's a mess with long lines and cashiers who are slow but and a big but i was able to find some nice gifts for family and friends at rock bottom prices . the 3 level store which was once a cookies kids clothing store needs a few roaming workers who can yell at the slobbish customers to stop throwing coats and other clothing around with no care or respect.the selection of coats and clothing for ladies , men's and kids is better then average with prices that can not be beat but it's the other items like toys , simple electronics , housewares , , etc is my reason for visiting . a comforter king size for 20 bucks and a knapsack from eddie bauer for 30 clams is a ok in my book. i still prefer the yonkers location overall for customer service but if you take your time browsing each level i am pretty sure you will find something you can use for yourself or to give as gifts . p.s. the parking situation can be a time consuming process . read more

This place is the worst I brought my nieces two christmas gifts last yr. putt it on layawayy and they were stolen by a staff worker they could not locate my items. Another time I purchased some ladies underwear and they had dust mites in them ..the ladies underwear section is awful everything is on the floor.. very unsanitized place. The lines are extremely slow they move like turtles..the staff is very unprofessional in greeting customers..there are two security guards that racial profile blk ppl I have witnessed it numerous times..very unpleasant place of business. I love the one on 157th st. In the Gateway Mall they are much.. muchhh better..much cleaner..they staff is customer friendly..they greet you when you walk threw their doors. They have a huge selection..section of everything..great bargains..their cookies..candies..etc. are not stale they are fresh. Very Pleasant place too shop!!!!!
