Been coming to this store for years. This location is very busy and they do provide security and police person at the door for safety. Place has been recently upgraded with a little revamp which was much needed. Always pleased with all Items purchased here especially Home goods, menswear and woman's apparel. Lines can be long but most definitely worth the wait. I am a T.J.Maxx reward member so every purchase made goes to points to receive new rewards. Always come pre season to get the best deals available prices do matter and they have great items with low prices if you only take the time to look. read more

I'm on a line with about 50 people and there only two registers open. This is a regular problem at this store location

It's been a while since I've entered a name store that was in such bad shape. The sales floor had empty boxes strewn about, racks with merchandise in the aisles so you could not get through them, and product thrown everywhere. I was number 8 in the cashier line and it took me 20 minutes to get to a register. Only 2 cashiers open, taking their time, and laughing with one another. Where was the manager? Why did the salesclerk standing behind them not help out? Probably because they are not the least bit helpful or knowledgeable about their business. When I left there were 18 people in the checkout line, it now spilled out of the long queue and into the aisle outside it. None cared. No one cared about how crappy the store looked. This store should be closed, or new management should be put in placed to whip it into shape. Never again. And That will probably carry over to every other TJ Maxx because I don't need the aggravation. read more

T.J. Maxx is my pick over Marshalls. Although the same concept and they are family. Marshalls is just slower, and the employees are never friendly or helpful. I like the Maxx better, the team seems to be more professional. I find more things I like, and this location is always less messier and they move way faster. If your in this area stop and find a gem. I always do, and I never have a problem returning anything, cant say the same for Marshall. read more

This does not reflect T.J.Maxx as a company, as I think it's a wonderful concept with a great selection and an even greater price point. It always takes some digging, but you'll walk out with more than you expected/were looking for. That is why I am giving out 2 stars. But this location, based on their staff, receives a -1 star. And don't get me wrong. I don't come here expecting amazing service, but I've frequently visit the one located on the Upper West Side, and they at least smile and say hello. The workers here are horrible. If you hate your job, you can be found here. And listen, no one reaaaaallllly likes their job. But damn. There is constant rolling of the eyes, sucking of the teeth, nasty attitudes. You name it. Today, instead of hitting the buzzer that tells you what register to go to. I was welcomed by a warm "c'mon, you comin or not?" Which while ringing up my items, turned to her co-worker and stated "hang in there. we got 10 minutes left before we leave this dump." And who seemed to appear to be the manager or supervisor clearly does not care either. As he showed up behind the registers and chuckled as he said "damn girl, I can here you from across the store," to which she replied "I'm glad you can hear because these customers can't." Real professional. If you want cheap, but great finds, come to T.J.Maxx. And if you're having a bad day, and want a pick me up, come check out these employees who hate their lives. read more

I am a big fan of TJMaxx in general and am always debating which one to go to. I am giving this one 5-stars because I feel like it has had the best selection so far. I moved into a new apartment and needed several things...in one visit I was able to get everything I needed. Great selection of home goods! I was able to find curtains, curtain rod, mattress cover, etc in one visit. I also had a positive experience doing an online return- some stores have no clue what they are doing or make it seem like it is an inconvenience. The cashiers seemed familiar with the process and I was refunded the correct amount. This should seem like a no-brainer but online returns have been stressful at other locations. Having this new TJ is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because I love TJ. And a curse because I love TJ and therefore half of my paycheck goes to them. This location is new, so it's clean, bright, and fairly well-organized. I haven't left empty-handed yet. I find their purse, wallet, and jewelry selections to be superb. I'm not entirely sure how many wallets one person should own, but I feel I may have exceeded that limit. Haven't had much luck in the clothing department, but that won't stop me from looking. Sometimes I find customer service lacking in establishments in this neighborhood, especially the chains, but so far, this TJ is an exception. I had great experiences with both the checkout & fitting room staff yesterday. Security guards are posted at the door but are always VERY friendly. All in all - definitely worth a visit. I've been to several TJ Maxx locations, and this has quickly become my new favorite one. The customer service here is superb, I'm never hesitant to approach store employees - they are so warm. While here recently trying to buy clothes for my sister, I was helped by a young man named Keeran. He was such a helping hand; he really seemed to care about the customers and ensured I found an outfit true to size. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Started out as a great store. Now it's an absolute mess. Items block the aisles and there is disorganization everywhere. It seems as if this store doesn't have enough employees or are not being scheduled to pick up after designated areas throughout the day. I would be embarrassed if I were corporate. read more

It's bright, organized, and warm. I love their baby section, although it's petite. I enjoy their clothes and kitchen section best. The one male cashier I encountered tried to guilt me for not taking a TJ Maxx credit card, which I didn't appreciate. He said, "Well, I guess you don't like to save..." My favorite TJ Maxx! The lines are super fast even when they're long. The staff is super helpful. The store is always STOCKED UP! I love it!

I went there yesterday and had the worst store experience trying to exchange a pair of pants. Tania, the Assistant Manger was unprofessional and dishonest. I asked to speak to the Manager and instead, she sent a store associate to deliver her message. The associate said that I could not return the item because every store sells different brands and that I had to go back to the original store of purchase (this is unheard of!). I asked to speak with her directly again and she finally decides to speak with me. She also tells me that the item is in terrible condition in which it was not because I never used the item. She continues to make up all these excuses as to why she can't exchange the item. She then says she can't find the item on the scanner. She tells me to come back on Monday to speak with Kiana, the Manager to see if she could do something. I work on weekdays and was determined to get this solved as Tania is NOT a problem solver. I called Peter, the manager from the Ridge HIll store of where it was purchased and pass the phone to Tania. Tania gives him the wrong number of the item and Peter tells me that the item is old, when in fact it was purchased only weeks ago. I then decide to travel to the Ridgehill myself to speak with Peter and he scanned the item and found the item immediately and took 2 minutes to make my exchange! He said he didn't understand why Tania was giving me such a hard time and he also confirmed that he got the wrong item numbers on the phone. A whole day wasted trying to make a simple exchange. AWFUL! I will never go this store again... their exchange policy is a DISGRACE!!!! AND I WILL ALSO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU FOR THEIR TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND UNSKILLED MANAGER!!!!!! read more
