Oh boy, so here we are at the top of this complex. And if you were paying attention to the reviews prior, the further up we go, the messier it gets. If you walk into this store, you will definitely understand that. Actually, mess is an understatement for this place. You automatically feel tired when you walk in here. Maybe it is because you are overlooking what appears to be the whole store from a landing. Got bad knees? Take the ramp to the right. As you look out over the vast land...err, store, you then notice a set of escalators, that's right, there is two levels inside the location. And as you might have guessed, the second level is messier. If the mess doesn't bother you, trying to get a cart will. There are never any carts, or baskets for that matter, available to shop. So I hope you didn't come here with high hopes of filling up a cart of deals. Let's go back a bit here. While you're looking out on the store, don't let yourself get depressed by the dingy digs and bad fluorescent lighting. I mean this place can definitely change your mood when you come in here. Majority of the first floor of this place is clothing. Mostly women's with some men's and teens. Throw in a toy section (which is torn apart by the wild children let loose by the parents so they can shop) and some handbags and you get the jest of the first floor layout. If you happen to be looking for housewares, kitchen gadgets, infant and toddler clothing, head upstairs. While riding the escalators keep arms and legs inside the moving stairs at all times. No, for real, please do this. Last time I was there, and I pray that they cleaned this, there was what appeared to be a chocolate milkshake thrown against the walls going up the escalators. Yeah, please keep your hands in at all times. Upstairs was wild. Try to avoid the infant and toddler clothing and make your way to the hodgepodge that they call housewares and kitchen gadgets. If you want to think that you are in the 80s kids game show 'Finders Keepers' then by all means start tearing things up like everyone else did before you. Maybe, just maybe, you will find the one item still in the package and unbroken. May the odds be ever in your favor if you so choose to shop here. Because you never know what you may stumble across. I do mean stumble, be sure to watch where you are walking because there are items everywhere. Although they have a good selection of clothing. I cannot give this place five stars only because their lines are extremely long especially on weekends. They are way understaffed! Also the last two times I was in there, their fitting rooms were closed due to cleaning. And they did not anticipate reopening anytime soon, which was very inconvenient for shoppers. I was not able to try on any clothes so basically I had to buy my items, try them on at home and then go back the next day to return the clothes that didn't fit properly. Very disappointing. A while back I also remember changing in their fitting rooms - I guess I changed in the handicap fitting room by accident and then the female manager peeked inside while I was changing questioning me why I was changing in the handicapped fitting room! I've totally been sleepin' on this location! I came in once many moons ago and never came back....well until this week. I've been on a hunt for a blue suit for my dad and I've been to several locations around the area. I love finding good deals and love to bargain shop! I checked in here and was surprised at how well stocked this place was! I didn't even remember it was a two level store! The service was good and the employees helpful. The key here is to get there early on an off peak day. The lines here are usually long. And by usually I mean ALWAYS. I've waited a total of 10 minutes before in line and that's when the line was moving well because they had a sufficient amount of cashiers working. If you walk in and see a long line and only three cashiers working just go ahead and save yourself some time and turn around. Besides the above, I am usually able to find whatever it is i'm looking for. I usually come looking athletic attire. I have a few particular brands I like to look for and usually i'm able to find the leggings i'm looking for and/or the top i'm looking for. Burlington is particularly good for athleisure. I like wear Adidas tops causally and i'm usually able to find them here. Also, i've found some Tahari jewelry pieces such as a brooch and earring sets. The regular price in Tahari may have been $35 but I only paid $10, sounds like a win to me! I like perusing the home goods upstairs also, cause there's usually something good I can use to spruce up my place. The key here is to pack your patience and come with an idea of what you may be looking for but not super specific. Happy shopping! read more

I'm not sure if I should be concerned that there are so many blank spaces on the shelves every time I come here. And I don't think it's because sales are so great that inventory is just flying off the shelves. I normally come here for small things like housewares and decorative elements (namely candles and potpourri), but as I browse through the aisles, I always noticed that there are large, empty spaces among the shelves in various different sections of the store. Every now and then, I'll find something great, but for the most part, most of the stuff I find in this store falls under the categories of trinkets and junk. The coats are monochromatic and often not worth a second look. The displays contain broken/damaged items. I only really come in here if I'm looking for something specific. It's also notable that, no matter what time of day or night I come in, there's only two people on the registers. Hmmmm. read more

I love this place its where i go for random household items, its a pretty huge store and divided into sections upstairs and first floor. One thing to point out is its all the way on the fourth floor and taking the elevators is the answer. Most stuff in the store seems to be cheapper then other store. read more

This place doesn't believe in customer service! I purchased a pair of shoes from them and within 2 weeks the shoes had damaged my heels that it left a burning mark. I located the receipt and wanted a exchange for a larger size, they denied my request. And I understand the policy about "item muat be in new condition" but how can they predict the shoes would leave a scar in my heel after wearing them for a week? I've included pics od the receipt as well. And they have lost another customer because they chose to not make an exception for the pain the shoe caused me. The store officially closes at 9, but the upper level closes at 8:30 so you can bring purchases down to check out on lower level. Cashiers say they need time to clean. That's fine, but so does every other store. It doesn't matter what time they close, they need to be up front about it. Close at 8, no one cares, just make it match the hours posted. Don't close one level before the other. It's ridiculous. Most stores close at 9 or whenever and then clean at that time, and adjust employee hours accordingly. If the store closes at 9, it doesn't mean employees work until 9. The closing shift should be 1-10, not 12-9. This is not good customer service. They should also have a directory of what is on which floor. Toys and kids clothes are on lower level, baby stuff and baby clothes, along with housewares, luggage, pets, etc. are on upper floor. Almost every other store puts all baby, kids, toys, etc. together so they aren't on separate floors. if they need to do this for space reasons fine, but put a directory at the bottom of the escalator like almost every other store with multiple floors does. Also they seriously need to post their hours on the door when they are closed, not just when they are open. It's not helpful to arrive at 7 PM on a Sunday to find it closed with no idea of what time they closed. Every other store in the mall posts its hours at the entrance. The shopping and working experience are horrible at this location. Employees are soulless and just don't have good customer service. Hardly anyone scheduled to accommodate for the checkout process. The men's and women's departments are always a disaster, the fitting rooms are disgusting along with the restrooms. Customers/ Staff will have bowel movements and practically destroy the toilets, you're better off just going to the bathroom on yourself than using the ones at this location. If you're shopping here, make sure you use the bathroom long before you arrive and, if you're working here... why?! read more

The customer service at this location is horrible. There were literally 35 people in line with only 2 cashiers. When asked if they could call for help the response was " the managers are on a conference call"! Those poor ladies did the best they could. I finally called another store to get the CORPORATE phone number and told that manager what was going on. He said HE would call the managers at this location. Within 2 minutes of HIS call, 5 people showed up to help. I was on hold for the Corp office for almost 50 MINUTES!!! I finally hung up. The ONLY reason I didn't walk out as others did was because I needed to buy a pair of shoes for my granddaughter and None of the other stores in the mall had her size. This location always has like 1/2 the lights burned out, especially near the elevator. This makes the store really dark which is not ideal when you're shopping for clothes. Also it is 2 stories and the store is supposed to close at 9, but the upper level with all the housewares and baby clothes closes at 8:30 and the lower level closes at 9. There is no sign indicating this, just verbal announcements. They say the need time to clean up. Well so does every other store on the planet, they just clean up after the store closes. If you need more time then officially close the whole store at 8:30, problem solved. No one cares what time you close as long as it's posted. They are often out of carts. There is no sign indicating what is on 1st level and what is on 2nd level. If they made sure all the lights were working and had signs indicating what is on the 1st and second level and closed both levels at the same time even if that time is 8 instead of 9 it would be a much better experience. read more

It was the grand re-opening from the corona virus pandemic and I was itchy to do some frugal shopping, after an hour of shopping I found out how long the line was. Long story short, I was in line for almost 3 hours until I saw a cashier. My cashier was Alexis C. and she provided such great service, I was very pleased with the help she provided and the way she rung my items up. Due to the high amount of discounts that were available on so many items, she rung everything up quickly and efficiently and made sure we saw how much was discount on each item. They did some improvements visual speaking and that's good. However, the makeup/bag/shoe/dresses areas are ALWAYS MESSY! Makes me feel ashamed whenever I get dragged in there. I saw little kids opening the makeup palettes there and I was waiting for an employee to see that and say something to the kid and their guardians.. I was going to before getting dragged away. The lines are AWFUL! Even on a Monday, I will spend more time in the lines than the entire shopping center! Last time I was there, there were only 2 people working on a Friday evening! I called the store while I was in line and asked why there were only two people on the register when the line goes as far as a whole aisle! That's 20+ people! They said they were understaffed, giving me the thought that management must be HORRIBLE and the employees are not considerate of their JOBS! There needs to be someone constantly walking through the store, making sure everything is right and that the customers are happy. One of the better Burlington's that I've been to. I haven't been here in a few months, so I was pleasantly surprised when I went upstairs and found the home depot completely organized and shop able. A few months back it was mad chaos up there; broken decor, tight aisles and no kind of order. Although I didn't find what I came for, I did leave out with a cute top, skirt and necklace for $25, so winners circle for me baby!!! Giving this location 4 stars instead of 5, for the habitually long wait in line. Seriously, hire more people for the registers! Also, no fault of the store, but I had to park on the 7th floor today! Convenient, at the top floor of Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring. This is a large Burlington with 2 floors of clothes, shoes, bags, accessories. Usually well stocked and this is a good place if one is in need of a gift. The lines can take a while though and the register availability notifier doesn't always work. The restrooms are clean and easy to find. I like how there is security at the door, makes me feel safe and the detectors will remind me if the cashier forgets to take off the security tags off. read more

I come to this Burlington like once a week since it's so close to my apartment. I am able to find things in this store my only complaint is the line time at any given time of the day or can take you 45 minutes to an hour to get out of the store due to the line. They will have about 3/4 people behind the register not working and 2 on the register with like 20 people in line. They have other people on the floor and I do understand that they have other jobs they need to be doing - I worked in retail for a while and honestly the customer is supposed to be the most important. Just wish they would care more about customers time and try to get them out the door faster. read more

I was shopping here when I was disrespected by the store manager Linda. She is black woman with short red hair. I waited in line for over 30 mins to check out at closing time.She never once helped her cashiers out with the line of customers. Once I approach her about it she walked away from me while I was talking to her. That's where she made her biggest mistake at. I wanted to punch her in the face and knock some sense into her! When I asked who the store manger was she said her name is Linda and she's not here now. Keep in mind at this point I didn't know that the manager I was speaking to was the store manager herself. What a horrible example to set for your team! The cashier proceed to ring me up and asked me if I was ok i replied no this is horrible service! Of course the store manager heard me, so she yelled across told the cashier who is ringing me up to tell me to do the survey about my visit. I told her don't ever yell across the room like that! I'm a customer learn how to treat us right we pay your bills. I will never shop here ever again Linda was very rude and need her ass to be beat!!!
