Too many of the same clothes.....
    Kitten J.

I decided to give this new location 4 stars although in reality it probably rates 3.5 stars. The extra half star is for the great customer service, which included the security officer (Sterling) who greeted me as I entered and left. And, also the friendly, patient young adults who helped me check out my purchases and effortlessly took care of my layaway. Now, for the good stuff........ The store is brighter, newer, and much more customer friendly than before. They have an okay selection of costume jewelry. The handbag are stocked well, with a variety for everyone's taste. The shoe department needs alittle help, especially the larger sizes for women. The intimate apparel was on fire. I was able to buy ten, well known named bras at half the cost in a larger size, that is usually impossible to find unless you go to the main stream dept stores. They have a very good men's and women coat selection and the children clothing area looked alittle sub par. It needs some more choices. Home ware is also an area that looked vacant and empty in comparison to other Burlington's. I was disappointed with what was left. They need more furniture, pictures, pillows etc. It was a serious let down, but of course I managed to find a few hidden treasures. Women's dresses are in the center of the store. Not as expansive or nice as I expected. A lot of cheap, party dresses. And, too many duplicates. It wasn't anything to write home about. Plus sizes only has a very small section, which is a shame. Please consider the demographics of the area. They needed more size "large" and sizes above "10". The most exciting and surprising part of my visit was the men's section. Wow, fully stocked with sizes and styles for everyone. The men's clothing section was excellent. They have a suit section that had great offerings....pants, vests and blazers. I found socks 12-15 which is usually difficult to come across. Many solid choices for men of every size.....a plus. The bathrooms only have 3 stalls, they are new. But, they definitely needed some end of the night attention. Layaway was effortless. You basically pay 20 percent down and have 3 months to get it out. I would suggest everyone put your Christmas items in layaway now. Unfortunately, I foresee this location running out of merchandise and unable to keep up with the demand of the customer very quickly. I have no idea why they don't see the benefit of FULLY stocking certain stores. The lack of merchandise is frustrating and it makes the store look empty and sad. It's still worth a visit.

At first glance, I was ready to spin on my heels and head for the door. The fashion wasn't my "speed" (style), but I wanted to do a quick spin around the store to see what's up. It's definitely a place I'll check out again, especially when I want to stock up on gift sets, socks, toiletry items, and quirky sunglasses at affordable prices -- like Bed Bath and Beyond, only wayyy cheaper. Lots of Betsey Johnson (my all-time favorite fashion designer!), Juicy Couture, Steve Madden, cute luggage sets, and other hidden gems. I even saw some nice Members Only jackets (apparently, that's a thing again...) in the men's section. I scored a Bed Head heating brush for $20 (retail: $46+), so that was a treat. __ I thrift. @DCthriftish I eat. @f.hux

This store itself is wonderful! A lot of the clothes are cheaper than a thrift store and sometimes…read moreyou can find really cute stuff here! My complaint is the employees! I swear whoever the owner is must have went out and found the grumpiest people and put them to work at Citi Trends. If they even greet me when I walk in, it's usually in monotone. Anyone who has been here could tell you that all the staff is rude especially the old woman. And the last time I was there (which I haven't been back since) I had a terrible experience. To start, I know the 2 salty employees there recognized me because I always stop in to see what they have and I always buy a bunch of stuff. I had about 3pcs of clothing that I wanted to try on and asked to go in a fitting room. They JUST let my friend go in one. So she tells me no because the fitting room is closed. The time was 8:44 and they close at 9? I told her I just want to try these on so I can decide if I want to buy them or not. It would take me 2 min at the most to try 3 pcs on. She refused. So naturally when my friend got out of the fitting room I went in to try on my clothes. You would think I was in there tearing the place apart by the way they reacted. Shouting from outside of the door that I get out of the fitting room because they are closing. My friend had to remind them of the time and tell them to chill out. I realize that you close at 9. But the time is 8:45. Calm down. I tried on my stuff and obviously by the way I was treated i wasn't going to spend my money but either way I was out by 8:50. I won't be returning.

It is jam packed with items that we all come to expect from a TJ Maxx. I immediately went to the home goods section as I was looking for some gadgets and storage. I need to up my game when it comes to prepping and cooking. I went through everything they had to offer. I was half tempted to buy several items, but I brough myself back to my senses because I knew now was not the time to do so. Although, I'm kicking myself over this, because I doubt I will what I saw at the same price any time soon. I mulled over a few items, picked them up and walked around with them. I eventually talked myself out of the items. I will be back here at some point, I know I will end up with those items.

They just stand there and wait for you to move OR they just try to slide the item onto the rack like you're not looking through the items in front of you. No one is dressed like they are at work. The cashiers never talk directly to the customer. They go get the manager just to say "your total is $22.50." There's no way there is a new cashier every time I come here. They ask the manager questions. And today I asked the manager a question, why did she ask the team member if it was possible and she said no but the service I requested I have done before. Absolutely nonsense. Completely unrelated but why on earth did they have a gucci iPhone 6 Plus case for sale for $150? Who in their right mind is purchasing that? I don't care that it's gucci. That's ridiculous.
