Wow this place was cracking on a Saturday afternoon! Downtown Placerville has quiet the ecentric places to visit but burning barrel brewing was a must stop. They have so many choices from IPAs to Sours plus an in house kitchen for your snacking needs. We both opted for different sours and they were good but more fruit beer than really sour. We like our sours that really punch you in the taste buds. We also shared the huge pretzel. The beer cheese comes cold which was a little disappointing but omg the mustard was phenomenal, the horseradish kick is my favorite part and paired really nice with the buttery salty pretzel.

I wish I took more photos. Traveled to Placerville for the weekend and wanted to try Barrel Brewing. Glad we did! The beers were very delicious! The bartender was very kind to have us sample a few IPA's and they were all good! Then we got food! We ordered the classic chicken sando and asked it to be spicy, roasted broccoli plate and miso Caesar salad. Gosh, they were all so good! Everything was prepared so well, props to the chef! We love the way the place looks! Felt so clean and really the wood cabin feeling. In fact, we love it so much, we're attempting to contact the manager so we can host our wedding rehearsal at Burning Barrel! Highly recommend them!

Stopped by this brewery over the weekend and loved it. The flight was a lot of fun and only $22! They have an awesome selection of beers and they were all so good. My favorites were definitely the paradise pulp, desert nectar, and mojito maul. Extra scoop is also good. I wish I would've found this place sooner!

This has been one of my favorite places around:)) Not only is it a beautiful venue, but I have also always had a positive experience at this place with amazing food, beverages, and service from personable, attentive staff. I would like to make a specific mention to one of their employees, Kayla, as she has always showed me an excellent time with quick service and great recommendations, and she has also been so nice and kept my preferences in mind for multiple visits going above and beyond to make me feel welcome every time:) I highly recommend this place for everything it offers, and this time in particular I got the Bavarian Charcuterie Pretzel that looks AMAZING! Thank you, Kayla, and thank you Burning Barrel!!

Driving back from Apple hill. Decided to check this place out. We walked in and the place was nicely decorated. If you sit at a table you have to order at the counter so we decide to sit at the bar. They also have a nice outside seating area. The lady at the bar was very nice and polite. On the drink menu they have different verity's of beers and spirits to drink. They have a nice variety of food to order as well. The lady at the bar was nice and friendly with great customer service. We ordered a few beers with the steak salad and the hummus plater. The steak salad was delicious with plenty of steak and a yummy dressing to complement it. The hummus plater of just as delicious as the steak salad. If your in the area go check this place out.

Great little brewery & cocktail bar, with good food options, beer flavors and cocktail variety. I took one star off because I was confused at the overall tone of the bar. They said they wouldn't change the ingredients of their cocktails, didn't get much of a reason but I'm assuming it's due to quality. That would make sense however they clearly didn't put quality into the details of the overall experience. For example; we were sitting at the bar, however we didn't get refills of water or another round of drinks asked until we requested them. The cocktail napkins were clearly cheap and fell apart with each drink, and we weren't given a new one with a new drink (a standard at high quality bars). Lastly, the bathroom needed work. The toilet paper was out (and we were there first thing after opening) and the paper towels were so cheap they fell apart in your hands, like the cocktail napkins. Overall a nicely little place but they need to be consistent in their brand.

This place is pretty good if you want fresh handmade cocktails or beer. They have a good menu although the prices are a little on the higher side for food and cocktails. The beer is priced similarly to their brewery in rancho. Service was excellent and they were very accommodating and helpful. I dig the downtown placerville area but it's just too far for me to regularly visit so I probably won't be back unless I'm already in the area. Definitely worth a try though.

    korean crack wings.

The his place has gone so downhill this last year. What a joke of a kitchen. We have been here so many times and it is getting worse every new menu. New flash you guys are NOT a high end French restaurant with a set tasting menu. So when someone orders a sandwich and asks for no sauce it is ridiculous to say no " all menu items served as is! No exceptions " especially when your food - like most of your cocktails - lacks balance and is overly acidic. I don't need to keep giving my money to a place that gives me attitude for the way I order my BAR FOOD. We won't be back. I had such high hops the first time we came. We have come weekly for the last year and watched the decline of service, food quality, and the cocktails, almost always disappoint.

Service was fast. Espresso Martini was not the best. Korean Crack wings were huge, perfectly cooked and had great flavor.

This was a great find in Placerville. I enjoy their Sacramento location and this one was even better. Love the interior, there's an awesome mural. The beer selection is great as always but the cocktails really standout! The ingredients are so fresh. My fave is the Thai me up, which uses their gin spirit. They change up their their menu regularly. There will a tiki theme in Feb. The salad was plenty and fresh. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. We got a 4-pack to go. Note that there is no mix and match like the Sacramento location. Might be our regular stop when passing by Placerville!

We are regulars of the Rancho location so we had to come check this place out! The food was great and those fries were amazing!!! The staff were super friendly. We will definitely be back :)

I understand he was upset probably because we took a table away from his potential tips, but to treat us the way he did is inexcusable. I asked if him if the food hadn't been made if we could cancel our order. He left and appeared to speak to the kitchen staff. He came back and cleared the table next to us and did not communicate anything to us. I asked, is that a yes or no? Without looking at us he said hold on. He finished clearing the table and walked away. He came back 10 minutes later and without saying a word he placed the bill on our table and left. Luckily we had the cash to cover it and a tip. As we walked away he rushed over, likely to make sure we weren't skipping out since he had been so rude. Will we go back? Uh no. This could have been handled much differently leaving us wanting to try them again.

We were seated quickly by the waitress and served water. It must have been short staffed that day because it took a while to get our drink and food orders in. I'll give benefit of the doubt that it was slow season and staffing might be lean. My wife and I ordered Baja fish tacos and the fish n chips plate, I though the texture and execution of the dishes was spot on, very crispy and appetizing looking dishes, the tacos had cotija cheese on top of the fried fish, diced peppers with pico, and the side was a creative play on street corn (corn, mayo, cheese, spices) served with chips. The only critique I'll give is everything needed more salt, but that's better than being salty. My drinks were amazing, blood orange IPA and the clear water lager (award winning). I had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend!

The food itself is completely mediocre. We ordered the nachos and the ramen. The nachos were just okay (we got them with beef), but the ramen broth was way too salty. The real shocker came when the bill arrived. They charged $38 bucks for a single bowl of ramen that only had two pieces of pork belly in it, and honestly, the pork tasted more like regular fried bacon. On top of that, the nachos were over $30. I totally get that tourist areas are bound to be pricey, but these prices are just excessive for what you actually get. People really need to know what they're getting into before they choose to eat here. Definitely won't be back.
