I really hate it when businesses go out of their way to avoid talking to customers directly. I know it is under the pretense of making it easier for the customer, but that is seldom the case when you have to listen through all the options and wonder if each specific one is the right one rather than just talking to a person from the start.

We have a clear 7 day cancellation window where a customer can get a full refund as we are a small business and a reserved seat is a missed opportunity for others and lost revenue to us if that seat is refunded without time to resell it. Jerry extorted our company under threat of spreading negative feedback about our company if we didn't abandon our policy and give him his money back. He used his company, Dream Vacations, under threat for his own personal gain. Suffice it to say, I believe this man has low moral standards and I would not trust him with my vacation experience based on my direct interaction with him. I did not know that this agency does not book directly with the resort; they use a larger agency, Funjet Vacations, to book. In January, I called to ask how to access my reservation on the resort website so I could confirm my request for double beds and have our 4 rooms located close to each other. Barb was out of the office. John answered my phone call. He told me he would get back to me with the answer. Even after follow-up with him, he did not respond to my request. At 3:30 a.m. on the morning of travel we got an email notice that our flight out of Omaha was delayed 4 hours which meant we would not be able to make our connecting flight. I called the agency for help. The on-call agent told me that she called American Airline and was put on an 8-hour hold. She told me to go to the airport and work this out ourselves. There are 11 of us traveling. She did not help us look for other options. We looked online and could not find any flights for 11 people that day. I called American Airline and made travel arrangements myself. I was not on hold for 8 hours. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule flights for the next day. Barb told me that because we changed flights without their help, they would no longer help us with the airline booking.
