We have booked Vegas (twice), Cancun, Puerto Morelos (twice), Punta Cana (twice), Jamaica and Puerto Vallarta. Last time I called I worked with Shawn, and she was the best! I had a specific time for a vacation, a budget and higher expectations to satisfy a birthday trip. She checked all the boxes, all while having the upmost of patience with me while I whittled thru the possibilities. She is already looking for another trip for us for Christmas. We have referred friends to work with The Vacation Superstore and I forward the weekly emails to all my friends looking for a vacation. The service Shawn provides is top notch! Not the service I expected from a travel agency. I started booking with Vacation Superstore 6…read moremonths before our travel to Cancun at the end of May. I did not know that this agency does not book directly with the resort; they use a larger agency, Funjet Vacations, to book. In January, I called to ask how to access my reservation on the resort website so I could confirm my request for double beds and have our 4 rooms located close to each other. Barb was out of the office. John answered my phone call. He told me he would get back to me with the answer. Even after follow-up with him, he did not respond to my request. At 3:30 a.m. on the morning of travel we got an email notice that our flight out of Omaha was delayed 4 hours which meant we would not be able to make our connecting flight. I called the agency for help. The on-call agent told me that she called American Airline and was put on an 8-hour hold. She told me to go to the airport and work this out ourselves. There are 11 of us traveling. She did not help us look for other options. We looked online and could not find any flights for 11 people that day. I called American Airline and made travel arrangements myself. I was not on hold for 8 hours. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule flights for the next day. Barb told me that because we changed flights without their help, they would no longer help us with the airline booking.

The closest choice was Travel, so I chose that. WRONG CHOICE! That gave you a few options, none of which were applicable to me. I thought there might be a "push 0 to talk with the operator". NOPE!. Hung up, thought about it, called again, this time pushed # 3 to Add Members. Someone actually answered at the store, and told me the information I was requesting. I really hate it when businesses go out of their way to avoid talking to customers directly. I know it is under the pretense of making it easier for the customer, but that is seldom the case when you have to listen through all the options and wonder if each specific one is the right one rather than just talking to a person from the start.

He got all the information on the trip we wanted to take and said he would call with details in 4 days. Didn't hear from him on the fourth day and was excited to get the information, so I called him. I got his answering machine, asked him to call me back. No call from him, so I called him, machine again. Left him one more message, then gave up. The last time I called, I did not call his direct number, I told my sad story of not getting called back to the person who answered and I said I hope nothing has happened to Corey, and she said "No, he's here..I'll transfer you. He lost out on a $10,000+ trip for 4 people that we booked with another company.
