We have booked Vegas (twice), Cancun, Puerto Morelos (twice), Punta Cana (twice), Jamaica and Puerto Vallarta. Last time I called I worked with Shawn, and she was the best! I had a specific time for a vacation, a budget and higher expectations to satisfy a birthday trip. She checked all the boxes, all while having the upmost of patience with me while I whittled thru the possibilities. She is already looking for another trip for us for Christmas. Not the service I expected from a travel agency. I started booking with Vacation Superstore 6 months before our travel to Cancun at the end of May. I did not know that this agency does not book directly with the resort; they use a larger agency, Funjet Vacations, to book. In January, I called to ask how to access my reservation on the resort website so I could confirm my request for double beds and have our 4 rooms located close to each other. Barb was out of the office. John answered my phone call. He told me he would get back to me with the answer. Even after follow-up with him, he did not respond to my request. At 3:30 a.m. on the morning of travel we got an email notice that our flight out of Omaha was delayed 4 hours which meant we would not be able to make our connecting flight. I called the agency for help. The on-call agent told me that she called American Airline and was put on an 8-hour hold. She told me to go to the airport and work this out ourselves. There are 11 of us traveling. She did not help us look for other options. We looked online and could not find any flights for 11 people that day. I called American Airline and made travel arrangements myself. I was not on hold for 8 hours. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule flights for the next day. Will never use this company again. I purchased a family vacation plus the insurance that they had told me if anybody needed to cancel I would be 100% guaranteed my refund. We had two people cancel and this company is refusing to refund over $2000. Even after the first person had canceled I was made to continue to pay for her at the end knowing she was not going. I was assured by this company that I would get a refund once the entire vacation was paid off. Booked a trip through the owner he has zero personality first if all! Second our flight got cancelled called the 1-800 number at 12:30 am when we released our flight got cancelled got no notification from airline or agent and when I called she was less than helpful and rude! Next day had to call them 2hours after they opened no one thought to call and help our party of 7 to rebook I told Jack the agent was rude and he said how would you feel if someone called you at 12:30 um you offer the service!!! And I'm self employed if a client called me at whatever hour with a problem I'd be there and I told Jack that and he said yah sure you would!! He don't know me as I would!!!He never called to move our transportation they said oh you were supposed to be here yesterday as did our hotel so our rooms weren't together our vacation was ruined due to this travel agency!! I've booked several trips in the past few years with vacation superstore. I love their weekly emails with trip ideas and costs. The best way to get info is to call. They continually tell you there are so many factors in booking your trips, they need to go over with you and they are right! When I called Jack - he explained the different resorts in my budget - getting me a 4 star resort with-in my budget. The trip down to Playa Del Carmen for me and my friends (6 couples) went without a hitch. The return was a different story. Our flight had been cancelled, and Jack jumped into action getting us all home. The 24-hour call went right to him and he worked with the airline and us. I'm not sure what we would have done without them. What do people with the internet sites do? They have no one to help them in a situation like that? Recently returned from an amazing trip to Jamaica. I booked my trip through Kala. With only a few phone calls with Kala, she set up a package for us. We did an all inclusive, which included airfare, transfers and hotel. We are huge beach people and the 7 Mile Beach was amazing. More than words can say. A friend booked her destination through this travel agency and Kristine in particular. Worst decision ever. Through a series of mismanaged decisions we ended up at a different resort from the bride and groom. We never received a confirmation email prior to departure and ended up paying $100 for taxi to and from the resort even though it was already included in what we paid - again would have been great to get an email. Getting to the right resort cost $20 each way per taxi ride and $60 per person to get in. Kristine said she would get us at least one pass, probably two so we were set for the wedding. Didn't deliver on that. The bride and groom paid for everyone the day of the wedding and the guests paid the day before. As the best man I had to leave as soon as the reception was over. Wtf. So many problems with the planning and execution that I can not fathom what in gods name this woman did to justify whatever her fee was. Again wtf? Avoid at all costs. We purchased the travel insurance for our trip to be able to cancel at anytime. One person in our party had to cancel so when I called and talked to my agent she said she would call the resort and see what the best way to do it was. She called back and said they said to pay for the entire trip then the next day we could cancel the one persons trip. I asked if this would increase the price of my trip since it would be 1 person in the room now and if it would I would share a room with 2 other people in our party. She assured me it wouldn't and this was the best way to do it. 6 weeks later when my refund came thru it was less than half the trip!!! When I asked about it I was told that thru refunded the flight portion, that my trip increased for only being 1 person. After telling her this isn't what we discussed she said she would check with the vendor. That was a month ago I have since e-mailed 2 times with no reply. I even have the owner Jack on the e-mails and still nothing. Poor customer service and they don't do what they promise. Would not recommend any more!!! Update: We have now booked four tours through Jack at eTravel Omaha. There have been some minor problems with the prior three, but I am lowering my rating based on our recent trip to Dominican Republic. When I tried to check in online for our flights, I found I didn't have the appropriate confirmation number. I contacted the airline representative who was able to retrieve our reservation using our names and flight numbers. When I successfully logged on, I found our passport information had not been added even though I had given that information to eTravel when we booked the trip. When we arrived at Punta Cana, there was no one to meet us. We hadn't been given the name of the local company nor a voucher for the transportation to the resort. I wrote Jack about our experience. No apology. First his excuse was that I had somehow lost the email they had sent me with the pertinent information. Then it was the airline vacation club that had erred in not sending out the information directly to me. At any rate...no apology. Just passing the blame. After reading other Yelp reviews, this appears to be the standard operating procedure for this company. So be forewarned: if booking through eTravel, be prepared to follow up on the details. We used this company to book a trip to the Dominican Republic for 5 separate couples. One of the couples in the group recommended this agency due to the offer of $50 back per couple of we used them. The agent (Jack) has in his email that they will beat any other company's price - including Orbitz, Travelocity, etc. this gave us comfort in the use of a travel agent. He also said that if the price were to go down (after we booked with him), he'd refund the difference. Well, the initially quoted prices were NOT cheaper than the online sites. So when we asked the agent about it, his response was "Oh ... Well it just went down. That's the price I can give you." So we still booked through the agent. After the 5th couple booked, we started to inquire about the $50 back (a total of $250 to our group, that just gave them $14,000 worth of business). The agent has now said "Well, I'm not going to give you the $50 anymore because you are already getting a good deal." Say what? Wtf does that mean? His email says that their prices can't be beat, and that they will give us a minor amount of money back if a bunch of people use them. We followed through with our end of the bargain - yet he won't now. What a crock. We would have gotten some "Orbitz points" (cash back) if we would have used Orbitz - so this agency ends up being more expensive due to his lies / failing to deliver on his promises. Will never use this agency again. Their prices were worse than the online sites, and he kept pressuring to "book now." I have no confidence that our airline seats will be close to one another, no confidence that they would match/honor future price decreases, or anything else. Horrible service. read more

If i could give zero stars i would. Ronna Howell and her supposed manager Jenny, are completely unprofessional. I have tried for over 6 months to get a wedding booked for 10 rooms and flights. 6 months! and they still cant get it correct. Charged us for incorrect amounts, put wrong couples together, overcharged everyone, delayed refunds after they screwed up for a second time. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. they have added unimaginable stress to the process when i could have done this myself in one day. the only reason I used them is because they assured me they could save money. We have used this service for a few of our trips. A few years ago, a every affordable Vegas trip with my girl friends, and later a family trip to San Diego. We had no problems what so ever. I visited with them most recently regarding a last minute trip with my family. While they did not have any services they could offer (an RV trip), the agent stayed on the phone with me and helped direct me to services and web sites that would help me plan our own trip. I booked a vacation April 6th around 12pm, for September 6th through the 12th, with Vicky, who was not very friendly to begin with nor informative at all. I put a $400 deposit turning down insurance because I figured it was only to do with flying coverage; lost baggage. Vicky informed me it could be added later so I wasn't too worried it and never mentioned anything about the insurance also covering cancelation. My husband and I are not big on traveling, we were just getting started. This was going to be our second vacation with etravelomaha as we were extremely satisfied with their first services last year, 2017, for our honey moon. Anyway, Vicky never sent me confirmation paperwork and I waited till the end of business day. I wasn't able to call back and request my paperwork till the next day, Saturday as Vicky informed me they closed at 5pm Friday. When I called on Saturday and spoke to someone else, she sent me my verification paperwork at 9:43am. I was at work during this time so didn't look at it till after 6pm with my husband. We were extremely excited. on Tuesday, April 10th, we found out we were pregnant and had to cancel our trip because my Dr. demmed my pregnancy as high risk due to medical conditions. When I called Vicky back, she stated the $400 would be non-refundable. This was the first time I heard about it. Again, we don't travel much and were not sure of the rules behind, plus looking at the timeline Vicky did not send our confirmation information and me calling the next day to request it, we did not have enough time, 24hrs, to even consider asking about cancelation policies. It's also not okay that Vicky told me the insurance could be added at any time. Vicky stated she would check with American Airlines and see if they would refund. She never called me back, I had to call and see what happened. Vicky told me they would not refund. I ended up asking for a manager, and was transferred to Jack. I left him a v-mail, but he never called me back. I had to call again till I got him on the phone and he pretty much said there was nothing he could do, didn't take ownership that Vicky failed to inform me the $400 would be non-refundable if we decided to cancel, failed to send me verification paperwork where it actually gave that information, and that I didn't even have time to review it till after 6pm with my husband. I informed Jack that I wasn't able to travel because my pregnancy was classified as high risk and my Dr. did not allow for me to travel. I have a Dr.'s note stating I cannot travel, but all he said was to email American Airlines and they may be able to help. It sickens me that neither Vicky, and especially Jack, a supposed manager, showed any sort of empathy about how the whole interaction was handled. I blame Vicky, etravelomaha, for not being clear about the cancellation policy and then telling me I could add the insurance later, which was was a lie. I wanted to continue doing business with this company because we loved our last vacation and everything was handled well. We are young and just now starting to travel. I cannot travel because of a medical condition, but what really pisses me off and makes me see this company as dishonest, is that they failed to explain all rules and processes within a timely manner. They told me to figure it out and go through American Airlines to dispute. I reached out to American Airlines and they did nothing. I had no knowledge the tickets were nonrefundable because Vicky failed to mention that. Now I can't travel because of a medical condition and cannot get my $400 back. read more

Don't be fooled!! No price match guarantee! We will not use this agency again. We will be telling all of our family and friends. Vacation Superstore advertises-Lowest prices, and price match guarantee on their emails and web pages. The prices ARE NOT the lowest and they do not stand behind their guarantee. We were traveling as a group. As we were booking I brought up the price difference to our agent who ignored me and pressured my friend to "book now" knowing we found a cheaper rate. Since I was aware of the guarantee policy and the agent was ignoring my communications by phone and email, I also booked directly with the resort within minutes of my friend saying she had already booked for us all. This is within the 24hours price match guarantee. The difference in savings was significant. The communication from this business was rude and the customer service was less then stellar. If traveling as a group- don't let them have one person pay. Use the "email" specials they send out and go and book your own trip as I'm certain other travel agents would value your business and additionally they offer the same offerings! IF your not well versed in booking vacations I'm certain there are other agencies that would be honest, fair, and value your business all the while being helpful in assisting you plan a great vacation . Just got back from a trip we booked with them to Jamaica. When we booked my #1 request was that this was a beach vacation and we were on the beach. Get to Jamaica and we were supposed to have complementary shuttle to and from hotel. NOPE. $225.00 We get to hotel and we are not on beach we are across highway and not only that we requested double beds and we get kings. The 2nd day there hotel does moved us for add $1240.00. I had no idea that the travel place had a 24hour assistants that would of been nice to know as this was my 3rd time booking a trip with them. When we got back I did talk to agent and I might be able to get a portions of my $225.00 back. I used eTravelOmaha to book my honeymoon to Costa Rica. Our agent was friendly, response, very knowledgeable, responded very quickly to e-mail and phone, and answered all of our questions. They also booked excursions for us through our hotel (RIU Palace Costa Rica) before we arrived, and knew that they hotel was no longer accepting reservations for dinners (first come, first served). They explained exactly what would happen when we arrived, told us to book our return trip home upon arrival with our tour company, and prepared us for all the other travel details. The package deal was amazing, saving us hundreds of dollars over booking online ourselves or through the hotel directly. I would recommend using eTravelOmaha to anyone! read more

Customer service was terrible. After we paid for our trip-- most questions were answered with a referral back to our itinerary. We went through an agent to get advice - we did not get this. We spent a lot of money on this trip and it took a good 2 full days to get over the lack of so much at the resort!! Jack was called when we returned and that was a complete waste of time - "oh yeah that has happened to me before -- oh yeah that's how things are sometimes" well.. oh yeah - THAT'S why we went through what we thought was a knowledgeable agent - to find these things out BEFORE we went. I had never been to Las Vegas and I was forwarded and email about a Vegas trip that Vacation Superstore had advertised. I was skeptical of the details but booked and went on the trip. Everything was exactly as they said and Jack was very helpful with suggestions for things to do while there, including shows and restaurants. We even rented a car and were able to see some great sights! We stayed at the MGM and the package price was great and they made everything very easy for a novice traveler. I have now forwarded the emails on, and a few of my friends have had great trips though these guys too! read more

Have used this travel agency to book at least 9 trips, although I don't know why we kept going back. We have never had a positive experience here and have worked with multiple agents, including the owner Jack, who treated us as though we were inconveniencing him when we booked two trips in one summer. The last trip we booked, the agent asked "Have you booked with us before?" There is no recognition for customer loyalty and they are not helpful in finding resorts based on your preferences. I have always had to do the leg work to find a resort that fit our needs, and they really try to push Mexico ( which we've been to multiple times and loved it until the last trip when we felt uncomfortable due to police coming onto the resort beach looking for local peddlers and had a very scary experience which I will not detail, but will not be going back to Mexico any time soon). Also, on our last trip to DR, on our second flight from Atlanta to DR, my husband and I were not seated together on the plane (booked 4 months in advance). When I asked Jean to try to get us seats together, she said we'd have to ask the airline to try to move us once we arrived at the airport. We take two trips per year, usually out of US, and will likely be traveling even more now that our kids are out of the house. We will be using a different travel agency with hopes of better customer service (don't think we could do worse). read more

I used this company for our honeymoon in Hawaii and it was an OK experience. The agent got us a pretty good price, but that's about all she did. Since we booked so far in advance, the airline schedule changed to the point that it would have delayed our arrival time to the Big Island for the final leg of our trip. That would have cut into the only day we had on the Big Island. To her credit, the agent did find another flight that got us to the Big Island at a reasonable time. However, the agency provided absolutely *zero* help with the other problem, in which we got bumped off our return flight and placed onto another flight, which resulted in my wife and I being assigned separate seats....even though we booked about 5 months in advance. In spite of their promises to help me, I had to spend an hour on the phone with the airline to get it straightened out...on the last day of our honeymoon! The company was supposed to do this on my behalf, and someone was supposed to call me on the last day of our trip, but they didn't follow through on their promise. My other interaction with them was today - I decided to get a quote for a specific Alaska cruise. This was not a great experience at all. I had to call them three times, and submit a request for a quote online, before anybody called me back (2 days later). By the time they finally called and gave me a quote, I had already got quotes from other travel agencies. The lady I dealt with at etravelOmaha was named Vicky. She was very cagey about giving out any itemized pricing. This company likes giving out one flat number without describing how the costs are broken down and what's included. To me, that is a red flag. If I am going to give you thousands of dollars, you damn well better be able to account for what I am paying for. When I finally got a price for the cruise out of her, I learned it was higher than other quotes I received and didn't include gratuities or any onboard credits. When I asked if she could match the other offer, she said no. I can understand if they won't match prices, but their website says this: "We guarantee we will not be beat by anyone!" Clearly, that is a lie. If you aren't going to stand behind your guarantee, than what good is it? read more

This was our first time using a travel agent to book a trip. We are going to Mexico for our anniversary and wanted help with flights and the hotel stay. In the beginning the process was seamless with booking our travel, but after trying to reach the travel agent multiple times with questions and never getting a response we started to quickly change our opinion. We were also told by our travel agent that she was going to get our travel package upgraded (at no cost to us...) for our anniversary. Then after speaking with another travel agent at a different agency who reviewed our itinerary we found out she not only lied about upgrading our travel package she also booked our flights incorrectly. When this was brought to her attention she was non-apologetic and dismissive of our complaints. When we asked how she was going to rectify the situation we were given a $4 parking pass to put towards our parking at the airport. (Thanks, ;-) ) Sadly, this company and some of their employees do not care about having a negative reputation or giving poor customer service. They only care about their bottom line and making money off their customers. This was not the customer service I expected from a travel agency. I just booked my honeymoon with them. The agent assisted and looked up 2 different resorts in a location that I found a resort I had mentioned but did not go above and beyond by offering any personal experience or fun suggestions. She quoted us $1500 per person and a week later when we went to buy she tried to charge us $1650, They honored the price originally given to us since we had the email for proof. Then they offered travel insurance for $60 a person and said we had a few days to decide. We called back the next business day to purchase and the price went up to $113 per person. My fiance called and she had input our quote wrong and it was now $90. When asking what it covered she said she didn't know specifically just that it covered sickness. I'm glad I called the actual insurance company. My trip was $1509 per person, but by covering my trip for $1500 I only pay $71 per person for insurance. If covering $1509 it would be $90ish. These are things a travel agent should know about a product they offer. She could have saved me $20x2. They are also not very timely on responses to emails or voice mails. I wouldn't recommend them to a friend and I think it was more work trying to contact them and figure things out between us than it would have been to just go through travelocity or bookit myself. read more

I contacted this company to book a flight and spoke with Vicky. I told her I needed a flight to the Bahamas. Mentioned I was looking online and suddenly most of the flights were gone and I decided to book with an agent instead. She set me up and I mentioned to her that I could never once find any of the flights she booked us on. She told me she has access into the airlines system and sees more than I would. That should have been my first clue that something was wrong. I will take complete ownership in my part of not looking over the flight she booked. Yes, that is my fault as she booked our flights to Nassua and not George Town. There are several parts I have a problem with. When I called her to tell her what I noticed she immediately told me I told her Nassau. I wouldn't have done that as I was never looking at Nassua, always George Town. I may have said I need a flight to the Bahamas but after telling her where we were staying and her being a travel agent she should have then asked me if I wanted George Town or Nassua. Nope, she just told me I said Nassua, which I didn't. Again, I take the ownership that I didn't look at the exact itinerary, I assumed. Never once did Vicky say sorry or try to come up with a solution to help me. She got very short and rude. I asked her what I could do and I was also looking on priceline for flights. I found a flight I needed and told her what it was. She couldn't find the same flight. I finally had to tell her to cancel my tickets and I would book on priceline, which had a 24 hour cancellation. After booking on priceline I calmed down a bit and started looking at options. I called the initial airline that I had booked and asked them questions. I asked if I could book just a one way and not completely lose the ticket, yet still pay a penalty. They said I could and they started to make the change. However, since I booked through a third party I had to make them do the change or I would incur an additional $100 penalty. I'm out enough already at this point due to mistake that was made (that Vicky still hasn't owned her part in). So I call Vicky back and explain the situation. Again, she was short and rude and said she would look into it and get back to me. She never got back to me before close of business so I emailed her and explained I only had a 24 hour window to cancel one leg of my priceline trip. Luckily I was already sensing she wasn't willilng to help so I told her I needed to hear back from her and have this fixed by 10:00 a.m. By 9:00 a.m. I was getting worried so I called. She said she would look into but she had others in front of me. I do understand there are other customers but when a mistake like this was made and a resolution needed to be made in a short time frame I would have thought she might be willing to help, but no. As it was the 10:00 a.m. deadline came and went and still nothing. Finally around 10:45 I hear from her. I have to explain everything again as to what I need her to do. I told her I needed to know when she was doing this so I could cancel the priceline ticket I had. I didn't hear a word so at 11:06 I emailed her asking if I should cancel the ticket. This time it only took her 6 minutes to respond and she actually said sorry, yes go ahead. That is the first sorry I got from her. So I wait to get an updated confirmation or paperwork or itinerary and I get nothing. At 12:48 p.m. yesterday I emailed her to ask if she got everything switched and I got no response, and she still hasn't responded as of this writing. I had to call American Airlines and hunt down the change. The airline was said something wasn't right and they couldn't find it. They finally did and they tied it to my award account, which is another Vicky didn't do. In all of this I'm totally amazed that not once did Vicky acknowledge any part of the mistake and said I told her Nassau. I own my part in this and would expect her to as well or maybe even show a little sympathy and maybe a little help. She never once offered up any suggestions to correct the mistake. Her only option was to get us a flight from Nassau to George Town for $300 more and get there late at night and ruin an entire day at an all inclusive. Not a great option. I'm the one that had to come up with other options and to not lose an additional $100 I had to have her do it. In the end I wish I would have just eaten that additional $100. Not sure if everyone at this business provides this type of customer service but I can guarantee I will never use them again. Wish I would have read the yelp reviews before using them. As with anything, there are good reviews and bad reviews. Unfortunately I'm on the side of the bad one here. read more

My experience with this travel agency was terrible. Mother nature did not help any with the weather closing dallas, which was my connection to Cozumel. When I finally did get thru to an agent, they did not help at all. I had to drive to the airport and handle finding another flight on my own. I arrived to the resort 3 days late (which I still had to pay for) with no luggage for another 2 days (which was Delta's fault to be fair). I had purchased travel insurance through eTravel Omaha, but when I tried to get assistance with the needed paperwork, the agents at eTravel Omaha were non-cooperative, would offer no assistance except to contact the airlines and resorts myself....no help....nothing. To say the least, I LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. I would not use this agency again for any reason. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because the website will not allow zero stars. read more

As a group of 10, 5 couples, we used this agency for a trip to Cancun. Jack rescheduled flights for one couple, didn't bother to tell them it was just for them and didn't change everyones flight. When we called to complain, to see what the deal was, his reply " what do you want me to do, build a plane" I mean, seriously. On the flight home he had this same couple on SEPARATE flights back. RIDICULOUS. The 4 star resort, with 'top shelf' liquor and 'all the seafood' we could ask for- definitely was not. The resort did their best considering it was hurricane season and we had a great time when it hit by hanging out in the bar, but it was by far NOT a 4 star, 2.5 at best. We tried using this company for a Hawaii trip but couldn't get them to find us a reasonable hotel that was on the beach that had it's own pool.....really?? An island and they couldn't get us both?? RE-THINK using this travel agency, UNLESS, it's just for flights. read more
