By Sunday, while driving around town, we became increasingly concerned that something was wrong with the front end of our Tahoe. Monday morning, with a 10-hour drive home ahead of us, we started calling nearby shops. The first mechanic we stopped at couldn't fit us in, and we were honestly starting to panic. Thankfully, we found Extreme Auto Group nearby -- and they were amazing. Even though we were not local customers, they made time for us, got our Tahoe looked at quickly, identified the issue, and worked incredibly fast to get us safely back on the road. When I started the car to drive away, it sounded terrible, like the muffler was broken. I took the car back and told them something was broken. They said the exhaust pipe was broken and blamed the age of the car and disclaimed all responsibility. I took it to another mechanic. He said Gill's broke the exhaust pipe when they hoisted the car up to check the alignment. I would never go back to Gills.

What I heard is that when Mr Gill took over, he fired everybody and hired other people, probably for less money. I have had a few experiences with Cole's now and it is safe to say that they have earned a five…read morestar review from me. At first it was difficult to get on their schedule (which I believe is a good sign for an auto repair specialist). Recently I had been to a local mechanic who did not put the correct oil in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. After driving a couple thousand miles, I decided to get on the schedule at Cole's to have them look things over and change the oil again. Also, I had an annoying check engine light that would come on and then go off right before I was able to get in to have it checked. This time the light was still on at the time of my appointment. I dropped my car off when they first opened at 9:30 am. I heard from them again around lunch time after they were able to run the diagnostics and change the oil. One thing I love about Cole's is they will send you a text with a link to a report. The report includes their necessary and recommended services based on the diagnostics and it includes relevant pictures so you can see for yourself what is being discussed. They found my check engine issue and my car was ready to pick up the same day. A couple months down the road, they sent me a follow up text reminding me of some of the recommendations that I didn't have done before. I had them replace my rear suspension which was noticeably warn while driving. Again, I was in and out the same day. With each visit I have felt their pricing to be more than fair and did not feel pressured to do anything they recommended. On my way out I was explained their warranty which I thought was nice, but hoped I wouldn't need it. The next day I started hearing some noises in the rear suspension that were not there before they worked on it. I called and got back on the schedule. They could not replicate the sound I was hearing at first so I went back in and went on a drive with Brandon. A few yards outside of their parking lot the sound came back and Brandon agreed it was not right. They ordered a new replacement strut for me, got me back in a day or two later and fixed the sound under warranty for me. I don't know of any other auto repair place in town that offers that kind of service and peace of mind. I will be back for sure and I will not hesitate to recommend Cole's to my friends and family.

After giving them the long list of things I wanted done they gave the car a full inspection before starting any service. They emailed me a breakdown of everything that needed to be done with pictures and explanations on why. After the work began they didn't quite have it finished by the end of the day as they had estimated. I wasn't surprised considering they were changing the timing belt, flushing all fluids, doing a tune up, plus some other stuff. It was a ton of work. They ended up staying late and extra hour and a half to finish the car that night. Sadly, I was unable to pick it up that late and had to wait until the next day anyway. The cost is right in line with what I expected. But I don't want cheap, if it's cheap they're taking shortcuts or trying to scam you. I also don't want to pay a premium. I think Cole's has hit the right balance. I'm very impressed with the overall service and will be going back.

man today was a hell hole, went to autozone to pick up a filter for a 2012 mazda three with the…read more2.3L I4, got my filter and oil and went home to change it, put the filter on, fit good, filled up the oil, and as soon as i started it the filter blew off blowing oil all over my brand new garage floor, called the autozone, went back, the guy gave me the wrong filter, he had the AUDACITY to ask me if i "seriously didn't realize it was the wrong one" i told him, "i work at hillside tire and service in sandy, i do this every day and i have NEVER gotten a filter wrong in my career there". Autozone do us all a favor and pick better employees, he was VERY rude about HIM giving me the wrong filter, and i appreciate the big apology from the older guy, he was much nicer than him and apologized over and over again, give yourself employees more training!!!

I went in for emissions and a tire rotation. Because I've had issues here before, I actually…read morenumbered each of my tires before bringing the vehicle in so I could verify that the rotation was done. Sure enough, when I got the vehicle back, **the tires were still in the exact same positions. They were not rotated. This is now the **THIRD time** I've had this happen at this shop. My tires cost me roughly $2,000, so rotating them properly matters. I shouldn't have to mark my tires beforehand just to make sure a basic service I requested was actually performed. What bothers me most is the loss of trust. If something as simple and easily verifiable as a tire rotation isn't getting done, it makes me question what other requested work customers may assume was completed. I'll probably still use this shop for certain things because the location is convenient for me, **but convenience is the only reason. I clearly cannot trust that requested work has actually been completed without checking it myself. Three times is enough of a pattern. **If you bring your vehicle here, verify the work yourself before you leave because they simply don't care.**
