I would give this company a high review if it only involved the initial purchase. They were fair and did a good job. It is after the initial purchase were the unfortunate turn of events took place. My son took my car in to have the tires rotated after the usual 5,000 miles. He calls me when he is down there stating one of the guys came out and said one of my studs broke as they were taking off the wheel. I told my son to tell them they better fix it then because they are the ones who put the lug nut on so tight it won't come off. They told my son "Nope". Needless to say, I wasn't very happy. I took it to the dealer and had to pay them to repair Jones' mistake. I was even going to buy another set of tires for my other car from them. I still will buy a set of tires, just not from them. If they don't want to treat me like a valued customer and break parts off my car without accepting responsibility, then I can certainly find a different tire dealer. P.S. Since my review, the owner called me and has more than resolved what happened. I truly appreciate what he has done for me. See below for an addendum to the story. Okay, Kyle Jones (owner) called me and asked what happened. I proceeded to tell him my story. He offered to refund the money that was spent replacing the stud on the wheel. I told him my car was having a small issue and needed an alignment and maybe some other work done. He offered to make it right. I offered maybe instead of a refund, maybe we trade an alignment for the refund. I took my car in today and he did an alignment and diagnosed my car. I even have a credit with him as he told me an alignment wasn't as much as the cost of the stud replacement. When they couldn't definitively tell me what was wrong with my car (as another place couldn't as well), he told me to bring my car back when the issue was more apparent and they would take care of it. This doesn't happen very often where I give people a chance to redeem customer service, but I am glad I did with this one. I am truly impressed he would care enough to call me and take care of me like he did. He also apologized for the incident that happened before. Yesterday my son slid into a curb, bending the two tie rods. I managed to get it the mile or so over to Jones and was there waiting at 8am when they opened. Joel was very friendly and helpful. I dropped it off and Joel called me a while later with a quote. I had them do the work of replacing the tie rods, installing 4 new tires and doing the alignment. They called at 2pm telling me the car was ready. We were very pleased with the service and that they were able to get it fixed right away. read more

Great experience here. I was sad to see so many low/bad reviews for this place because it really is a great company with awesome employees. My car needed a new radiator to fix my A/C system and the guys here were able to get that done in good time. Joel was especially helpful throughout this whole process. We stopped here with a Subaru that was leaking antifreeze over the course of trying to drive it back across the country. It was a simple fix (replacing/reattaching the radiator hose), but difficult for us to perform on the road because we had no way of capturing the antifreeze. It ended up that they could tighten the hose clamp further on the hose and we would be on our way. They charged us $65- which we were sort of forced to pay. We used no new parts and bought our own antifreeze at the nearby Autozone, so $65 for a 10 minute fix was steep. They also told us we were leaking power steering fluid. We asked for them to show us, and they said they could in 10 minutes. What I presume happened is that they went in the back, poured power steering fluid on the connector, and showed us. We were told it would be $1000 or so to fix. We said no, and were on our way. We checked the power steering fluid levels since, no drops/no leakage. STAY AWAY- they will try to take advantage of you, particularly if you are not from town. read more

I've taken my Jeep here for all my service and repair needs for three years, and was always happy with their service ... until yesterday, when I left quite angry about the way I had been treated by one of the employees. My original post recapped that encounter, including my commitment to take my business elsewhere, but that's not important now. What is important is that the shop manager called me this morning. He saw my original complaint here, and took it seriously. What's more, to obtain my phone number, he must have searched his customer records for someone by my name who drives a Jeep, as these were the only clues included in the original post. We had a great conversation, and I felt like he understood my concern perfectly. I was also very happy to learn that the shop has not undergone a change in management, nor major personnel overturn, which is what I had originally suspected. Thanks to his "extra mile" effort to track me down, call me, and hear me out, this loyal customer will be back after all. read more

I would rate these guys a five star but then you wouldn't believe me. I have 2 older cars that they have worked on and I have never been let down by these guys. They tell me straight what they see is or will be a problem and when they recommend I fix this now or can get to it later, I believe them. BEWARE. Stay away, they don't know what they're doing! I brought my 2007 Mazda6 here that no longer has the AC working. They told me the AC would be $600+ to fix. Well we also have an older Chevy truck that stopped running and would only start by being jumped. I brought it into Anderson Auto, the staff is friendly but don't let this fool you. They told us that to have the truck up and running that it would only cost $590, we said great and decided to have this fixed instead of the AC in my other car. I drove my truck FOR A SINGLE DAY, and it broke down in the middle of Antelope Dr. on the bridge over I-15 at 5pm. (Probably one of the worst times and places you could break down at.) My husband and I had to pay for a tow back to this auto shop, they apologized, but said it was going to be ANOTHER $700 to fix. For some reason we agreed, drove it only FOUR blocks away and the truck broke down AGAIN. We waited 2 hours in 95 degree weather for them to come and tow the truck back, and the staff was incredibly rude and didn't say anything to us when they started towing. We get back to the shop and they told us someone didn't correctly install these new parts, and said he was surprised we even made it that far! They told us a head gasket had blown and that we needed a new engine, costing us another $1900. All in all, we threw $1,300 at these people for a truck that doesn't even run. read more

My friend was on a road trip and her Jeep died in Layton. She pulled the codes, and called me, her mechanic back home. The code was for a CPS, and all the symptoms said CPS (crank position sensor). I hate to diagnose things over the phone, but was certain that was it. She had it towed to this garage and asked to have the CPS replaced. Instead they did some shady diagnostics and started poking around her fuse box with a power probe. I know this because the tech told me over the phone. They insisted it was the computer and tried to charge her $1100 to fix it! In all my years of building Jeeps, I've never seen a bad computer. She had it towed back to her hotel, called a mobile mechanic to come change the CPS, and wouldn't you know, it worked! Bad CPS. An $80 part I can swap in 15 minutes. These guys are either not very good, or a total scam. They cost her 2 extra days in a hotel and I almost had to drive 16 hours to go save her. Update: I did call and speak with a service manager and then the tech. I determined over the phone they didn't know what they were talking about, and their diagnosis was wrong. Like I said before, she had it towed out, had a mobile mechanic replace what I thought was, and problem was solved. It was the CPS and not an $1100 computer. read more

I have to give a HUGE shout out to Jones Complete Auto Care in Clearfield! We bought tires for my husband's car in December and were so impressed with that process we went back and got tires for my van a couple weeks ago! They were nothing short of amazing during the entire process!! They were fast, efficient, knowledgeable, honest, and even filled out our rebate form for us, put it in an envelope AND added a stamp! Yesterday, as my husband was driving home his tire hit a HUGE rock laying in the freeway. His tire has a massive hole in it and the rim is bent I called Jones Auto today and spoke to Gentry, he looked up our hazard warranty and he is sending the tire to their location from Salt Lake so they can fix it TODAY! I told them the rim was bent and my concerns about how much time it would take to fix and he asked me to text a picture of the tire to his personal phone so he could assess the damage BEFORE we got there to save me some time waiting in their shop. Who does that these days? We have been so incredibly impressed by everyone there and their incredible customer service! I texted my husband and told him about my experience and his comments back to me were "everyone I have dealt with there has been awesome!" Thank you Jones! After having my vehicle for a day Anderson Tire called and said the tires would not fit and it would cost $120.00 more for the right tire. Then they had to keep my vehicle for a second straight day because the alignment machine wouldn't work. Finally get my vehicle back and get an immediate flat due to the valve stem not installed properly. Will not be returning to Anderson Tire in Clearfield any time soon. read more

I purchased new tires for my Volvo in April 2013 from Anderson Tire in Clearfield, the tires were warranted at 40,000 miles. I only put 25,000 miles on the tires and they already need to be replaced. I went back to them requesting compensation for early wear/replacement. They wouldn't stand behind the tire and gave me the best option of providing 4 brand new tires at cost. I will not be going back to Anderson Tires AGAIN. read more

Have always had good luck here. The guys at the front desk are very knowledgeable, and are not trying to rip you off. Just like anywhere else you go, they will point out other things that need repair on your vehicle, but are not pushy about it. They have also been very helpful when I have asked them about fixing something myself. Their labor rates are on the higher side, but they are generally quick. read more
