Poor guy, he was so depressed. All of that changed when he started going to Schelastic Academy. What a positive, safe environment it was for him. He worked hard, he persevere and grew into a wonderful young man. This school works with the kids so they feel loved and accepted. And their education programs thru the computer is self paced, but they do need to keep on top of their studies. I have enjoyed and love this school for my grandson. It will be a wonderful school to watch your child grow and achieve and grasp everything they can through Schelastic Academy.

There are plenty of kids here who deserve a better education from respectable staff. And I​ state firmly the staff here does maintain true respect and responsibility. The glamor is only skin deep. A polite smile. I believe some staff deserve to be legally held accountable. Luckily the poor kids at the office cover all that up. If only most of the money didnt go into a poor building that leans. If only the staff wneren't needing strong words that are not used very often. I find it grotesque to even think of. Poor leadership affects all of our governments and neighborhoods. In fact the routine of wearing a uniform actually helped with his organization skills. We could not be any happier. The student to teacher ratio is ideal; on average, there are about 10 kids in each class. His previous school had 800 students in his whole class. At Newman, he has about 60 students in his entire class. Newman really is private school experience without the expense. Teachers are very genuine; it's really about the kids. My son's GPA went from 2.3 to a 3.4. He is involved in sports just as he was at his previous school with the exception that he is actually being coached. It's refreshing.

It was remodeled internally yet still has an external appearance of the grocery store. This AISD school is a place that can actually help students understand the importance of following the rules and regulations of the school they previously attended. For many students it is a wake up call that puts them on track to a successful high school education. The principal, teachers and staff do an excellent job. The students are treated with respect and dignity as long as they follow the more stringent rules expected of them. We feel that our child's experience at this school helped him improve his grades and made him realize the importance of following rules and guidelines.
