This little motel offers everything a traveller to this scenic area of Cape Breton needs, but no more. It's very clean and functional, well-priced, and the owners are very outgoing. However, for us, we couldn't give it full marks because of the little things - no tea towels or pot scrubbers in the kitchen, no salad bowl, no kitchen grater.
And this one other little detail... We were offered a cooked lobster for dinner months ago and verified this by phone a few weeks before our arrival, and we were most excited about this! Upon our arrival, we were informed that due to a storm days before, the lobster hadn't come in. No problem, but we would have appreciated either a quick phone call or an e-mail alerting us of this beforehand so we could have picked something up along the way. We were fortunate to make it to the village co-op store minutes before they closed, or we wouldn't have had dinner. Best to come prepared to Bay St. Lawrence...
