I was planning a surprise 30th birthday for my husband and long story short bury the hatchet in Matawan screwed me over. I already had all the invites out and got all the responses. I spoke to the manager at that location numerous times and did exactly what he told me to do. I even offered to put money down to reserve one or two lanes just to hold my spot and he said it wasn't necessary. Well I was just told today that a police fundraiser booked the night I was planning to and that there is no room for me to throw my husband his surprise party. I now need to explain to everyone I sent an invite to and say party is cancelled. I still haven't figured out how to tell my husband I now have nothing special planned for him. And now I also spent money on invites for apparently no reason. read more

Total experience was awesome. Called to make a booking for 10 people and lady gave me a promo code. We got to the place and were given a whole table + axe throwing cage. Our axe master Kevin was perfect. He was patient with our biligerent group and gave us all pointers. When it was time for Jenga, things got really competitive. Great place. Great staff. Really fun and interesting experience! My group went for two hours with another group and we did a few different types of matches and a tournament. It was a very safe and controlled environment and our instructor was very attentive and took a lot of time to help you and explain everything. Would definitely want to go again. read more

My brother and I had a blast throwing axes and racking up points in a bunch of fun games, thanks to the enthusiastic guidance than Nate. Nate showed us super cool trick shots and encouraged us to come up with new ones, all while keeping us safe. Attended a fundraiser at this location and was a first timer to hatchet throwing. Though the space is small and loud, our axe master Cameron was really great! My friends and i were skeptical about what kind of night we would have after i impulsively reserved a slot for bury the hatchet, none of us having been here before. We had such a fun time!!!!! Out axemaster Kevin was so thorough in his explanations and in helping to give us tips to throw better, which for a competitive group went a long way. We truly did have a very fun time, for it being our first time "throwing", and we are planning to come back.
