Wow. The management last summer was so much better. It is 100° in Dallas, TX. I reside at the Club at Riverchase and our pool has been closed for 6 months. I have asked about it several times and all I get in return is "they're doing upgrades" but passing by the pool everyday I have never seen one person working on it. Here are some pictures of the pool which people are STILL swimming it because it is so hot and it cannot be safe. Increasing rent, adding an internet service for 60$ a month that they expect you to set up yourself but you have no choice but to use it. If you try to talk to anyone there is absolutely no reasonable response. I just resigned my lease but if I would've known that this is how they are going to take care of the property i'm not sure I would have re signed it. read more

ZERO STARS! I've never lived here and I won't BUT my family member does. Ive witnessed in person, the way the front office at cypress waters (Coppel/Dallas) treats residents. HANDS OFF! Their usual response is send an email. Do they smile? No! A bunch of robots! I tried to explain something for my relative (as support) one day and was rudely interrupted by the manager who said "I'll be dealing with her- not you" or something to that effect. I've lived in a lot of Apartments in my lifetime, but I've never experienced walking into a front office and not be greeted with a smile or shows some type of caring or empathy to the residents when they experience problems. It's cold as ice in that camp. Oh, and when it comes to safety, you can forget about that too. Shame on them for putting on that one smile to reel you in during application process and then it's all downhill from there. For me to write this as "an observer" to the treatment my family member experienced says enough! Please do your homework, apartment management is very important when deciding where you want to live. They do not have a live person you can talk to EVER, it's all in email or text! It's the way they like it. Not dealing with people. I could barely find the management company for these apartments because that's how they want it. Do not rent from a Busboom property! They allow illegal activity and turn a blind eye when it affects another tenant. Calling the office is a joke as they want to be "virtual" yet have employees in the office who prefer not to talk to you in person. We were literally told they shouldn't be dealing with customers in office. Then there is corporate. Good luck with that! You can't talk to anyone there and they hide behind their office staff directing them on what to say to customers. read more

Busboom is TERRIBLE. I should have read the reviews before I decided to do business with them. Management is dismissive so much, condescending and disrespectful. They have a bunch of arbitrary fees they are constantly trying to charge resident. They literally told resident not to come to the office and use their text line. They want absolutely no interaction with residents. There's even a sign for new people to take self guided tours of homes because they only see residents as money and not real people. I would usually never make a bad review for any company. But, in this case as a renter it's my duty to make sure you know a few things about this company. The reason I am not writing a review on the actual apartment site is because they were pretty nice and easy to deal with. However, the problem is coming from their management team BUSBOOM GROUP. So, I put a $400 deposit down to hold a unit on an apartment while I was still actively searching for other apartment. In which, I advised the apartment about before I paid the $400. I asked would it be a problem if I do not take the apartment here and I was informed that I would just need to finish the application process and if things do not work out I could request for the refund. Fine, not even 4 days later I found another place so I reached out to the apartment about my refund. They then became very policy driven and told me that I need to finish the application process. Which is confusing? If I am not moving into the apartment what process needs to be finished? Signing the lease? So, they told me to email Busboom Group regarding cancellation/refund and this is where things went from miscommunication to complete unprofessional really fast. I am not the typical push over customer who will argue back and forth with anyone. So, during out correspondences I was sent several sections of the refund policy stating that if you cancel the application you will not receive a refund. Now you say this after I've paid? Why would I hand over $400 to just cancel a few days later and lose the money? To be honest, I was willing to take the loss until I had to deal with one their "business manager's" who was very dismissal and did not even attempt to assist me. So, now I am going to fight the dispute and make sure to leave as many reviews as possible. If you can read the email conversation I received from this "business manager"you would understand why I'm doing this. She was very rude and unprofessional. Totally agree with every other review on here - of course they are all 1 stars, solely because you can't leave 0 stars. Dishonest and unethical at every turn. I've never seen a management company so incompetent - do NOT rent any property from them - never leave a credit card on file in any way shape or form - and do not believe a word they ever tell you. So cheap they don't even change the locks on their apartments when tenants change... YES... the prior tenant has key copies and access to your apartment. Highly disappointed in the level of customer service received by the corporate office. I was told upon applying that I would have reserved parking and a washer and dryer in my unit. The washer and dryer was a make or break. Upon move in, I had neither. The reserved space, I let go because it was of little importance, but when I brought the matter to the leasing office, they told me I needed something in writing from the leasing agent (who had since been let go). I took the matter to the corporate office and they told me the same thing. In my years of being in the same industry, I have never experienced such poor resident care. Whether your consultant still works there or not, you should provide your residents what was promised to them. The lack of care from corporate is appalling. Telling me you simply cannot trust my 'word' is disgusting. I will already be moving once my lease is up and go back to a Windsor community where I know they consider their residents a priority. DON'T RENT FROM BUSBOOM!!! I wish there was a zero star... We tried to register our car with the apartment, were told to go on our portal and when that didn't work we tried to contact them. More than once we got no response. We had an emergency a day later (a miscarriage), they were closed Sunday and it was towed that day. Long story short we called them one of the 3 or 4 times and were told to "cool it" and "calm down" they said they wouldn't reimburse us and that the girl that told us that we could do it on our portal was so conveniently not with them anymore and they're sorry they can't help us... the gate to our community is never closed and the staff is very rude and nosy. I currently reside at a Busboom Group property in Denver and really enjoy my overall experience. My apartment is awesome! For the rent I pay, I have the best deal for some of the best city views in Denver. Seriously ya'll! :) The customer service I receive at Busboom is top notch. The maintenance team is very quick to respond, does a great job, and is very friendly. Kudos to you guys! Additionally, at the office, everyone is super helpful. Brittany rocks my socks off! She assists me with any issues, questions, or assistance I need. I am very impressed with Busboom, so much so that I recently renewed my lease. read more

During the Texas blizzard my unit flooded due to a poorly insulated pipe in the exterior wall of my townhome in parsons green. I called mainiantence three times as water continued to flood my unit, ultimately totaling 6" of water throughout the entire first floor. I have contacted the front office everyday for a week informing them I have respiratory issues ( lung issues and bronchitis) and that I can not be in the presence of mold not to mention living in a mold filled unit in the middle of the COVID -19 pandemic. I've filed multiple certified notices with the management and leasing offices with no response. I am now approaching a week of living in this condition which is a violation of my leasing agreement due to Texas Property Code 92.506 under the "Responsibilities of Owner and resident - sub section 31.2." I have asked about a credit considering i am indeed three months ahead on my rent and the fact i've been without water for almost a week as well as the fact the plumbing contractor left a giant hole in my kitchen (where the leak was) and has not returned to fix the drywall. As it was a flood, (6") all drywall from 1' above the finished floor is at high risk for mold and as temperatures continue to rise, the mold will accelerate. I love this community and the amenities and I wish not to pursue legal action however the rent is entirely too high for no credit or action to be taken regarding this issue, especially considering that after 7 days of notice it is a violation to Texas law. I do not recommend ever renting an apartment with Busboom Group. The Cypress Waters"The District apartments". They treat their tenants like shit. The hallways, elevators, parking areas, the upkeep of the complex is nasty and not worth the money. They also treat their employees bad too. We lived at one of the properties for 2yrs, when Busboom took it over it was terrible, poop stands were not emptied, spots all over the cement where they drag trash, don't think they screened people, the people upstairs sat on the patio and smoked pot, we complained but nothing was ever done. The apartments are only a few years old, the bldg we were in had to be releveled already, Rhonda is the manager not friendly at all, they charged us $75.00 for cleaning the carpet which we cleaned when we moved out, when we moved in the apartment I cleaned it for 4 hours was very dirty,I complained to Busboom about things being very dirty and people smoking pot, they did not care ,nothing was resolved. I've lived in this property since August of 2020, and I'll have to agree with the others that stated that they're all about money. I had an issue with a neighbor and was given the option to move to a unit two doors down with a transfer fee, a new deposit, increase in rent and to sign a new 15 month lease - and this issue with my neighbor was no fault of mine. I declined on this because why would I move to a new unit two doors down, the exact same as mine for more money?? I decided to stay and remedy the issue as much as I could on my own. Now just the other day my compressor goes out on my AC unit and I was without it for (5) days and the most that they could deduct from my rent was a "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We understand that it's hot in Texas but we can't offer you anything off of your rent". I was only able to utilize the 3rd floor where they put a portable unit. This company is all about money and I would advise anybody looking to move here to think twice because they're shady and greedy and you have to go to every other extent to get them to do the right thing. I've never been late on my rent and or asked for any favors regarding I can't pay or anything like that. I paid on time or before it was due and this slimy place could do nothing but offer an apology. Also if you move to the townhomes near the dumpster still expect to pay a valet fee even if you don't use this because it makes no sense to do this when the dumpster is 10 feet away from you. "This review also applies to the Del Prado apartments: If you love paying too much money for ****** apartments plus an extra arm and a leg for all of the utilities, you should rent from busboom management group. If you also love the unexpected company of their managers or maintenance men: on a regular basis, without knocking and without any request from you, again, you should rent from busboom management group. We were trying to do what our lease said by registering a vehicle with the staff and we called our leasing office on Thursday the 11th of June to register a new vehicle of ours. The office staff at Equinox on the Park told us inaccurate information. We believed it, and tried to do what they told us to no avail. We called back the next day and texted the next day with no answer. Our car was towed on Sunday the 14th because it was not registered with the complex, who wouldn't get back with us. I tried talking to our leasing agent who somehow couldn't find the recorded phone call when we called in, and ended up reaching out to corporate. After a couple emails to my wife from corporate I decided to call Stacy Dusha on my cell. The end of the phone call she told me she would get back with me when she did a little more research. I called a couple hours later and got voicemail so I called back and left a voicemail. I called her three hours later because I had still not heard back and it was approaching 5pm. She told me to "calm down" "cool it" and "quit calling so much". They told us to go get our car from the tow lot so we would have it and that they would get back with us by noon today with their response. After finding out we got our car back this morning we got an email from Stacy at corporate saying we were stuck. I tried calling her boss Amy Cox, but she was out of the office and I was given a number to call. No answer at that property so I tried to call Stacy back and got no answer. OH BOY do I have some words to say about this management company. Two nights ago there was a leak from my water heater into the apartment below me, and, being an emergency situation, maintenance came and busted into my apartment at 9:30pm. Not only did they NOT fix the leak, they had to shut my water off all night. The next day, management said they would have the part by noon and would immediately be installed to fix the leak and get my water back on. I get an update two hours later that the part wont be in until the following morning...aka THIRTY SIX HOURS without water. But thats not all! The next day, when I get home from work the water is STILL NOT ON and the leak is STILL NOT FIXED. this is going on 48 hours people. I went in to talk to management and they said that "this is what renters insurance is for" when, in fact, this is not what renters insurance is for since the leak is not in my apartment and has done no damage to my belongings. Management did nothing to help me or make this situation a priority. read more
