I have used Bush Home Services for a while now, and they seemed to do an alright job initially. However, I am currently paying $131, and they can't even seem to kill the weeds. When I called to address this issue, they had the owner call me back. Instead of offering a real solution, he just brushed me off and claimed the St. Augustine grass would eventually overcome it. Today, I looked over my yard and the spurge weeds have completely doubled, growing right over the top of the grass, plus there are probably 3 or 4 other types of weeds taking over. For the owner of a company to call a client and brush them off like that--without even sending someone out to look at the lawn--is totally unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this company at all. I imagine they have a lot of satisfied customers, but once you start having actual issues like mine, expect to get the same song and dance. I feel they should refund the money I paid them for that month of weed control. Other companies, like TruGreen, charge a lot less and will actually come out at no charge to respray if the weeds aren't taken care of. As far as I'm concerned, Bush is overcharging for poor service. A Quick Tip on Spurge Spurge is notoriously aggressive in Florida heat once it gets a foothold, especially if a lawn service misses a treatment window or uses a weak blanket spray. Since it spreads via a thick taproot and throws out thousands of seeds, it rarely just "gets choked out" by St. Augustine on its own without a proper post-emergent herbicide (like Fahrenheit or a high-quality atrazine blend) applied at the right temperature. read more

Well, over a month ago someone came out to assess what we needed (paver repair and landscaping) and said that he would get back to us with in a week. A week has come and gone and I have called the office and the contact person who came out and sent him an email and he has not gotten back to us. I'm sure that the company is good in other areas because I see that several people use them for other services and maybe it is just this one guy, but I will never call them again. At least if he had responded to my calls and explained why he was not able to do the job or whatever, but he has never responded. Very discouraging. read more

Hired them to inspect for rats and other rodents before buying a home. The inspector said home only had signs of OLD droppings but NO CURRENT pests. I purchased home only to find out there were 4 rats living in the attic. Bush could not get rid of them so I had to call another company do get rid of them and they were great. Bush Home Services office staff said they do not go on the roof. How can you inspect a home without going on the roof. Complete waste of money--- don't waste your time with this company read more

This is an irresponsible company. We own a 10 foot verbenium hedge that we planted 8 years ago. We planted it not on the property line but well within our property knowing that it would grow. It was done for privacy and as a noise buffer. This company is employed by the neighbors next door, who paid them extra to Cut Back our hedge that was on their side without asking our permissioon or discussing their intention to touch our property. They cut our hedge in half. It has been butchered. They cut our beautiful verbenium so far back our sprinker heads are exposed. I spoke to the people at Bush and all they could say was that they were sorry. When you run a business such as this it is your responsibillity to make sure you are not invading others domain or as in this case destroying anothers property. They offered no other compensation so we are now left to listen to our neighbors airconditioner the minute we walk out of our door. I have heard other complaints about them and this situation just confirms the attitude that they can do what they want and get away with it. read more

I do not recommend doing business with Bush. They typically do not meet their own work schedule. Follow thru on problems is very poor and they are also poor at returning phone calls when a customer has a question or a problem. They appear to be unable to meet their commitments in a timely manner. Not a good company to deal with anymore. read more
