I explained that of course would pay for the inspection myself. I was told that this was NOT permitted. This is a big red flag as any dealership selling pre-owned cars should have no issue with a customer getting a pre-purchase inspection done. In fact, most dealerships I've spoken with recently welcome and encourage it. Not East Penn Auto though.

We pointed out we had a Car Fax print out!! The owner was well aware thus was my daughter's first care; she had just received her license!! That did not matter!!
