    This review is for the service department. I've been using GMC Service department for quite some time now to keep up the vehicle maintenance since I purchased it there years ago(Oil changes, Tire Rotation etc.) It appears that nearly every visit you have to hold your breath and hope that the Service Advisor doesn't inform you of additional maintenance needed. You can walk in this place with just a request for oil change then be told you need $500-$6,000 worth of work done to your vehicle. Last visit for a oil change and tire rotation, I changed my engine and cabin air filters a hour prior to arriving to the service area and also washed my vehicle at the car wash up the block. Also, before the visit to the service area I had no alert light on my dash, no engine light, no over heating or any other problems with my vehicle. My vehicle is garage parked with no signs of leaks on the floor. My vehicle runs quite smoothly on the road didn't give me any issues. The service advisors who appears to be new there informs me that my car needed all types of work like "I have a leak in my radiator, leak in a shock and they advise me to change the ENGINE AND CABIN FILTER - Repairs adding up to more than $5k. That let's me know, they never checked it out). I also know that when the Service Advisors are not giving you BS, they are charging nearly double for the GM Parts and that these Service Advisors are receiving a commission when they get you to agree to these extra services. So, if you're looking forward to dig deeper into your pockets just for a polite conversation with a pleasant service advisor, this is the place for you. You will be rolling the dice if you visit this service area for a inspection and expect to walkout passing without paying any extra, your vehicle would have to be brand new. It appears management is training the new service advisors to go for it all. The regular advisors whom been there for a while are familiar with certain customers and already know who not to BS. I have included a photos of the engine and cabin filters I changed a hour before the visit to the service station. I took these photos just to see if they were going to say they needed changing. THIS GMC DOES NOT SUPPLY YOU WITH A LOANER AS ADVERTISED AND MENTIONED TO YOU BY THE FINANCIAL PERSONAL WHO HANDLES THE LOAN. IF YOUR VEHICLE NEEDS TO STAY FOR VEHICLE REPAIR, THEY WILL TAKE YOU TO THE CAR RENTAL PLACE WHERE YOU WILL HAVE TO COME OUT YOUR POCKET.

    Work was done expertly. However, 6 hours for Oil Change, Tire rotation, Rotor replacement and 1 new caliper seems quite excessive.

I also asked for an oil change and inspection plus diagnosis/estimate for the camera, left wheel buttons, and steering wheel heat (all broken for 4-5 years). I sat there from 2pm to 5:15pm and went ouside to see my car on the riser, all wheels off, and the mechanic was stumped as to why the brakes were not working now. They charged me $800 to fix that and they said fixing ebrake was just cables and would be another $800 but I had to pre-pay parts ($400). They gave me a loaner then called at 10am next day saying they brakes just needed to be bled more and its ready. I brought it back for ebrake and Paul brought me a photo of the wheel base I think showing a 6-7" open crack and said they needed to replace both rear ones plus other things (I didnt get a written format of this assessment or quote or that photo and wish I had). They gave me a loaner to take home for a couple days while they fixed this. I picked it up, but they forgot to do the oil change and inspection so I made another appointment for the following Saturday (this past Saturday). Last Tuesday my AC/heat went off. It has been turning off since last year, but I usually get it back on by manually turning ac clutch with hand, pulling out/in the ac clutch fuse and another related fuse, then reset Uconnect and it has always come back on... not this time. I changed my appointment to Friday 8am and took PTO to get this done plus have longer weekend due to rain coming all Sat/Sun. I sat there for 4 bloody hours... around hour 3 they said its $625 for resistor replacement. I say okay... still waiting. Hour 4 I insist on answer and he says the resistor didnt fix it so they pulled that and dont know whats wrong. They said they have to escalate to engineering which will take a few days total, but Id hear from them next day (Saturday 5/23). Ive heard nothing and have no AC or heat. Im not a native here in PA and have been everywhere in the Milford area with no luck finding anyone competent and fair. I dont have evidence that photo was my Jeep, but Ill never know and now Ive used $3100 of money to move so I can have a room for my terminal brother who is in adv. heart failure to live with me. It took forever to save that and now I am so depressed and mad thinking they just scammed me out of thousands I didnt have to spare. I also take my ESA dog with me everywhere... I cant go anywhere without him when its hot now so we will be stranded on those days.

Big mistake. I should have stuck with Towne Hyundai in Denville, NJ. I worked with Dylan Pincus at Kelly Hyundai. I told him I wanted a vehicle similar to my totaled one. I needed automatic lift tailgate, electric and heated seats because I have spinal stenosis. I also told him I liked dark gray or green. The only thing I received was heated seats. When he showed me the Venue in blue I told him I did not like the color. His response was "I knew you were going to say that." He tried to convince me the trunk area was spacious, it is not. I came back three days later and told him the seats were hurting my back because I could not adjust them correctly and the hatch was hard to close. The seatbelt was too close to my throat and I absolutely hated the color. He did not respond to the seats or hatchback, He told me I could by seatbelt adjusters and that I didn't have to see the color of the car because I was on the inside. I returned because of the 30 day guarantee promotion. with no luck. I felt insulted, offended and my physical needs were unheard. Mike Young (one of the managers) quickly sent me a detailed offer and answered my questions immediately and honestly. I filled out some paperwork (remotely) on Friday, and picked up the car on Saturday (today). Wayne Davy was very helpful as well today, getting us set up on the app, handling paperwork, etc. The finance team was efficient and personable. They gave the best pitch I have heard for an extended warranty (though I still didn't buy it). Also.... The price Abeloff offered me was much better than my local dealer; Abeloff's doc fees are reasonable; and they didn't try to stick me with a bunch of extras I didn't want. Overall this was an excellent experience. Although I live more than an hour away (in NJ) it was worth the trip. (For NJ residents - they seamlessly handle registration, taxes etc. for NJ). This was a much better experience than my local dealer, who wanted more for the car, were not forthright about the size of current financing rebates, charge an exorbitant doc fee, and insist on adding "extras" that the customer doesn't want.

I brought my car in for a recall service, and while I was waiting inside the dealership, one of the Halterman's Toyota employees hit my car while driving it on the dealership property. The last thing you expect is for your car to be damaged at a REPUTABLE Toyota dealership where you should feel confident your vehicle is in good hands. This was completely unacceptable and extremely disappointing. After the incident, I refused to have the repair done there because I no longer trust the dealership or the way I was treated. Their response and attitude after the accident were unprofessional and unacceptable. As of today, my car is still not repaired, and this situation is now being pursued through legal channels. I will never return to Halterman's Toyota, will never use their services again, and cannot recommend this dealership to anyone. This situation would never have happened if the Toyota dealership employee had taken full responsibility and treated their customer the way they are supposed to. Instead, after the accident, they acted as if nothing had happened and made no effort to find a fair solution in my favor. They even lied and treated me disrespectfully, going so far as to tell me that they "didn't like me" after they damaged my car.
