Not only that, their "credit notice" specifies where you'd need to fly to use it and mine had a country that wasn't either the original destination nor a country I ever mentioned as intended travel point. We didn't find out about the schedule change until we tried to check in on-line the day before our flight which was on a Sunday. We tried to call FWC but to no avail. They claimed later that they had sent an email notifying us of the schedule change. We never received it, and we certainly never approved it. As we had already scheduled our flight to Chicago on Monday morning and a birthday party for that evening, we were obviously not going to be able to travel on the earlier Air Ethiopia flight. We were able to contact FWC when we arrived in Chicago and were told that it would be possible to change to the Tuesday night TK flight but it would cost $1,190 extra. We asked why we weren't moved to the Tuesday night flight in the first place? They advised us that we had to take that issue up with TK. All in all we are out of pocket $1,190 additional airfare, $500 for hotels and meals in Chicago and $300 for one prepaid night in Nairobi. We have requested reimbursement but have been given the run around and have finally taken them to small claims court. Be advised. These folks are all smiles when taking your money, but disappear when problems arise.

They actually care about their customers (as opposed to other travel agencies who merely want your money). Once I was traveling to Florida from San Francisco with my wife and 2 kids in a very snowy December. We landed in Denver, unsure if we would be able to take off due to the bad snowstorms. My Travel Design agent, Shekar, called my cell phone during our layover just to make sure we were OK. He let me know that if our flight was cancelled he would find another way for us to join our family reunion for Christmas. Turns out, our flight was OK and we got out of DIA without any problems, but the fact that Shekar took the time to check on us and reassure me that we would have a fine vacation really impressed me. Travel Design also knows my travel profile and they get me the other stuff I need, like cars, hotels, meals, and discounts, without my having to ask for it. I love these guys!!! She is excellent in booking complicated itinerary which we are not able to do online; she also make excellent recommendations for alternatives (but not pushy) which can save us lots of $$ and hassles. She has good connections with various tour companies and airlines, very effective in chasing after wait-listed openings / airline seats which is so helpful. She is very busy most of the time, therefore the conversations are usually quick and to the point, not much into chitchat. I enjoy working with Heidi and her travel agency a lot, have recommended to friends and others.

The driver showed up without a car seat and it wasn't his fault. Even if this wasn't a website problem and it was all completely my fault, customer service NEVER emailed me back even though I wrote them multiple times. The driver also called the driver phone line and she lied to me saying that she would email me and never did. Instead they charged me 50% for a ride that we couldn't take and we were stranded. Avoid this service at all costs. Use Kidmoto.
