Just returned home from a flight I booked with wholesale flights. Ticketing nightmare. I booked my flight to Athens, Greece back in november with Leslie who was very nice and helpful. Immediately after booking, i looked on line for how much my flight would have cost and IT WAS CHEAPER through American Airlines website, $400 cheaper. So i called Leslie back and they refunded the $400 to my acount. Done and done, right? Nope. I get and email 3 days before my flight with my conformation. Theres only one leg of the flight listed. I didnt think anything of it until the day of the flight when I didnt get my usual reminder from the airline to check in for my flight. So i go back on line and it still says im only going to London and theres nothing about Athens. I call British airlines, they said I have to call american who in turn said I need to call British. No answers, no flight to Athens. I decide to go to the airport 4 hours early hoping it will be easier to figure this out in person. For 1 hour, I haggled with the lovely British airways concierge lady, who was perplexed because she saw both legs for the return flight but only one for the arriving flight. I had a printed copy of my itinerary that showed i purchased my flight so it was honored and she found me a different flight. Apparently, the 2nd leg of my flight was canceled and I never heard anything from Wholesale flights or the airline. It was just canceled and I was left in limbo. I fly a LOT and this has never happened. Moral of my long winded story, just buy your tickets through the airline directly. You will save time and money and so much stress. I can't tell if this is a real business or not. They're also under the name Business Class Guru. What I really don't like about this business is they don't seem to give you a quote until you tell them how much you want to spend. I can't help but feel like they're trying to assess how much money they can make from you and/or if you're worth their time or not.The last inquiry I made - the guy responded with - "your budget is impossible - try premium economy" Also, they don't seem to work well with.."my dates are flexible" - you have to give them exact dates. I told them my dates are flexible so I can get a cheaper price - they don't seem to like that answer. I'm impressed. Definitely significant savings on my business class flight from Denver to Dusseldorf. Everything showed up in United.com, and I get mileage credit. Full seat selection just like any direct reservation. Mike was very helpful and professional! The cost for business was 1500.00 less than the premium economy I was looking at. I have a flat bed seat. OMG! BUYER BEWARE. I am truly surprised this place is still in business with their practices. It's hard to believe Yelp and BBB gives them good reviews. Although on BBB when you explore the complaints - you can see the stories are all similar. Essentially these guys sell you on great flights, great airlines and great seats, then 90 minutes before take off send you an email stating your "new itinerary" - which is code for you just got ripped off. They promised me the best flight times, the best airline, the best seats (all confirmed via email) only to change the time, airline and seats 90 minutes before take off. Even worse - you do not hear from them when you email and call back. They have the best customer service and are very responsive until they get your money - then its all downhill from there. Even my flights were booked under someone else name/airline miles - very shady operation who takes close to expiring corporate travel miles/rewards and the "resells" them to innocent travelers. They made what should have been a pleasant flight and vacation a nightmare. Stick with what your mom told you - if it sounds to good to be true, its probably not true. BEWARE -- I have purchased a flight to Europe for $3k plus. I had to cancel due to an emergency and requested a refund. I was told I would get a credit. Come to find out that credit is only for the same flight route. I can not use it anywhere else, odd. Back and forth via email and it proves they are going to hold onto this until it expires which is a year, which means they profit. I also risked the 500-600 termination or cancellation fee, which I thought I would be getting the credit to use on future flights, anywhere. STILL it is the same route. This has been the worst experience in all my flying years and I am an avid traveler. Figured I can try to utilize this concierge service but it turned out to be truly trash, a lost of 3k is what is going to be happening it looks like. read more

I am extremely disappointed in Wholesale Flights in that they are next to impossible to get in touch with. They do not answer their phones.. its robo calling and then you don't get return phone calls. I worked with Garrett Wong who said he got none of my calls and or texts or emails even though I have the texts and emails on my phone! I tried at least a dozen times and finally today after calling a different number that I got off my Visa Bill and speaking to his co-worker, he called me back. BUT he could not honor my request without a huge fee! Had he returned my calls timely, I may have had a chance to make a change to My reservation. I had to call the airlines directly, and they also called for me to a different number, and between that and me calling a different number, I finally got a phone call back! We leave next week so this has been a nightmare that I hope turns out well! We are back and the flights pretty much sucked. We paid primo ( almost 12000.00 for 6 people to fly to Italy) for economy and two seats of premium economy ( trust me theres very little difference in economy and premium economy!)and I kKNOW we could have done much better with an alternative travel agent. I was very hesitant using a whole broker for our European airfare after reading some of the reviews and consumer report complaints. I spoke to several different airline broker companies and was not feeling comfortable because the agents did not speak English well, communication was extremely hard and you could tell the call was connected to a site out of the country. After doing a ton of research ourselves I found Brandon with wholesale brokers. Brandon by far was the most efficient and easy to work with. Communication was a breeze, and he was quick and efficient. I gave him information I had already researched and he checked that information as well as other flights to get us the best deal. If we booked the same flight ourselves in business class the fare would have been $2,000 more per ticket. After holding the reservation, Brandon gave me a confirmation number and told me to log in on the airline website to view the information. The payment process was simple and easy as well and I felt comfortable giving my payment information when purchasing the ticket.
